Phil Cooke is fun. Not in the way crazy circus clowns are fun, though he has been known to don a red foam nose to put his young (and young at heart) patients at ease. No, its more of a looks forward to his job each and every day and comes to work happy fun. The contagious kind. This irresistible character trait was one of the main reasons he felt confident he could pull off naming his practice Nice Nice Dental. After all, who would risk the false advertising claims knowing he was actually a closet curmudgeon?
Dr. Cooke was born and raised in Phoenix. He went to Camelback High School, then graduated from the University of Arizona (Bear Down!) with a degree in biology. Next he attended dental school in San Francisco at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Since completing his studies nearly 30 years ago, Dr. Cooke has enjoyed being a dentist here in Phoenix.
Family is very important to Dr. Cooke. Hes been married for more than three decades. His three daughters are married and there are now sevengrandchildren, with more to come! He and his wife, Cindy, enjoy their family and appreciate each other as a gift.
Dr. Cooke loves to exercise and read. He volunteers his dental skills at the Neighborhood Christian Clinic as well as in Rocky Point, Mexico. He has traveled with various groups to several other countries to give back some of what he has been blessed with. In 2000, he was nominated by the Arizona Business Journal as a Health Care Hero for his work with the homeless and underprivileged in Maricopa County. He started the Hope-Mobile, a Mobile dental clinic to travel to homeless shelters and hold neighborhood clinics for the underserved areas of the valley.

The Nice Nice Dental office is an inviting, tasteful and happy place. You wont find any Highlights magazines circa 1993 with the mazes and word searches already completed (so frustrating!). In true family fashion (the Nice Nice way) the office was designed by Dr. Cookes youngest daughter. Its an eclectic, quirky and fun place where Dr. Cooke and his staff hope people from all walks of life will feel welcome and comfortable.
Like the old adage says, a dentist is only as good as his pick and probe set. Following in that tradition, only the newest and best equipment, tools and implements are used in the Nice Nice office. Youll enjoy our luxurious leather patient chairs in the exam room as well as Dr. Cookes award winning charm and wit. Each procedure is done with the utmost professionalism, personal care and attention to detail.

Nice Nice Dental is conveniently located at 9772 West Yearling Road, Suite A-1680, to serve Peoria, Glendale and Phoenix. If you live in any of the surrounding neighborhoods, were probably on your way to somewhere! Located across the street from the BASIS school.

From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. This was my first visit and I was greeted by my first name as I entered the door. There was holiday music and festive decorations around me and it made me smile. I just put my decor up this weekend too so it felt like a touch of home. The next person greeted me with a casual conversation and it kept my mind off the fact that I was at the dentist!! I avoided finding a dentist for over 10 years, yes - I had fear but today I had courage. Every single person was so NICE! The dentist was kind, patient and even made me laugh. They all had compassion for my previous experience (somewhere else) and I never felt judged. This appointment exceeded my expectations and I am looking forward to coming back just to chat with these amazing people. Thank you all very much for supporting my needs today, nice nice dentist!! Appreciate you!

Seriously the name is Accurate "Nice Nice dental" Dr Cooke was very personable, professional, full of life a good person, family dr..if I go on you won't believe me but its true! I also learned some dental care that you would've thought I should know already and he indeed was caring and full of comedy! I am always a nervous wreck going to the dentist. Nancy, Iridian, Dalla the staff were so friendly, professional and welcoming. I drove 1 hour 15 min to the office worth every mile! Thank u Nice Nice and staff

Dr. Phil is an old school polite and thoughtful Dentist. Treats you like family. I suspect that nobody really likes going to the dentist but I actually look forward to seeing him because it's like seeing a trusted friend of the family!

Worst experience EVER! Yes, everyone is very nice and friendly. But the level of skill leaves much to be desired. I went in with some tooth pain and was told I needed a crown. While Dr. Cooke was injecting me with the anesthetic, I felt this weird sharp pain/tingle on the side of my tongue. I flinched and told him. He said it was normal and continued to numb me. Once done with the procedure, I went home and waited. After a few hours, sensation came back, but I couldn't taste anything on the left side of my tongue. When I messaged Dr. Cooke, he called and told me that, though extremely rare, the nerve can be damaged at times. He said he felt terrible, but that it would eventually heal. Well... it's been nearly 2 months and I still can't taste absolutely anything. I will most likely have to see an expert to see if this damage can be reversed. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this practice. Find yourself a competent dentist, not a "nice" one.

I was not a patient of Dr. Cooke. I had, what I considered, an emergency on a holiday weekend. My dentist (at the time) did not respond to my call or text messages. I contacted my husband's dentist (Dr. Cooke). He responded, by text, immediately to my husband's call and, almost immediately "came to my rescue." I am 78 years old and have much experience with dentists. I went into his office for the first time and was very impressed with how bright and clean it was. I was also very impressed with how friendly and compassionate he was with my situation; explaining everything he did and resolving my problem. He made me feel very comfortable and I loved his sense of humor. I followed up by making an appointment and on my first visit, I was welcomed and, after meeting his front office staff and dental assistant, felt like I had become part of a new dental family. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Cooke and all his staff and his explanation of my dental health after this first visit. I am very grateful to Dr. Cooke and all; and I'm looking forward to my future with them.

Great friendly knowledgeable dental care. Had been going to the same dentist for over 10 years and my hygienist retired...one of the main reasons I stayed with that dentist...so i decided to find a dentist closer to home. Found Nice Nice dental for both my husband and myself and couldnt be happier. Dr Cooke will actually call you if you have questions or concerns! Top notch!! Highly recommend!!

I love this office. It was my first time here and I have never felt so comfortable being at a dentist office. Dr. Cooke is amazing. He is so comforting, caring, and a compassionate provider. I felt like being part of their work family as a patient. It is rare to find a provider office these days who make you feel comfortable, do not rush, listen, provide good counsel on your health needs, and make you feel validated. I highly recommend Dr. Cooke and his amazing staff. Everyone front the front office to back office was great.

I was nervous as I had not been to a dentist in 4 years. However, Dr. Cooke and his staff were excellent. They were able to do all the work I needed the same day. Moreover, Dr. Cooke gave a thorough explanation of everything he was doing in plain terms. I will be a regular patient at Nice Nice Dental moving forward!

From promptly being seated, through the technician's imaging, to Dr. Cooke's analysis and treatment, this dental office provides the best dental care I have had in my 70 years of life. Today his team was again first rate. Strongly recommend these folks if you care about your teeth and oral health. Honest, straight, & effective dental services. Come.
