First off, we believe in working with you during the course of your treatment, because dental health is a team effort with one mutual goal; nurturing your teeth, mouth and gums to simply be the best they can be.

From the moment you come into our family practice, we'll take time to discuss your dental needs and any concerns you may have. From there, we'll need an hour or so to examine your teeth, gums, jaw alignment, and soft tissues and take digital radiographs if needed, to check for tooth decay. Each exam includes a blood pressure check and oral cancer analysis, to assess your total oral health.

Our NICE approach to dentistry is that preventive dentistry is our goal for every patient. It involves the daily care, good nutrition, and periodic check-ups and cleanings that maintain good dental health. Preventive dentistry may not be where we start with every patient, but it's where we want to finish.

Because our preventive and restorative programs success rate, we now have the privilege of considering cosmetic treatment for gaps, chips, and smile whitening. The great thing about cosmetic dentistry is with new materials and procedure, anyone can have access to a beautiful smile.

Dr. Nice grew up in Paradise, CA, a small rural community in Northern California. While working as a surgical assistant and running a small business, he attended California State University Chico and earned a degree in Applied Mathematics. After building up and selling his small business, Joshua decided to pursue a degree in dentistry as a method of giving back to his community; he graduated Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2013.

After graduating from Loma Linda University, Dr. Niswonger spent a year working in a dental practice in East Texas. He then returned to Paradise to serve as a provider at a rural health dental clinic. Dr. Niswonger is married to his wife Jennifer. Jennifer grew up in George, Washington on an alfalfa farm. She recently received her Doctorate in Business Administration from Walden University, focusing on leadership and change management.

In order to be near family the Niswongers settled in Mabank. Joshua and Jennifer enjoy hobby farming, gardening, traveling and playing with their dogs. They are excited to make Texas their new home and Joshua looks forward to begin serving the dental needs of the greater Cedar Creek Lake communities.
