Dr. Smith grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico where he graduated from Mayfield High School. Both of his parents were teachers and provided a solid foundation for educational goals. Upon graduation he attended Western New Mexico University where he played tennis for two years. After realizing professional tennis was not going to be a part of his future, he turned his focus to being a fulltime student. Two years later he graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Smith attended Tufts dental school in Boston, MA for the next four years of his life. This is where he received the foundation of dental knowledge that he uses to this day. When his time was up in the Northeast he longed to return to some warmer weather and ventured back to New Mexico to begin his career. After 5 years of practice under his belt, and lots of experience with orthodontics, he decided to return to orthodontic school to complete his education and become a specialist in the field of orthodontics.
In 2013 Dr. Smith received his specialty degree in Orthodontics, and an MBA, from Roseman Health Sciences in Henderson, Nevada. Since 2013, his professional life has been a whirlwind of activity. Professionally, he has owned multiple practices, developed orthodontic practices in and around Dallas, and treated thousands of wonderful patients. However, nothing has made him happier than the family he has.
Dr. Smith has 4 boys and a beautiful wife. He enjoys hobbies such as tennis, crossfit, and the occasional glass of wine. During the summers you can find him and his family floating the river or spending the afternoon at Schlitterbahn. He and his family have found the place they always wanted to be in New Braunfels, and they cant wait to meet you.
Krystal is a born and raised Texan. She grew up in Robstown, TX, a small city outside of Corpus Christi. In 2010, Krystal received her degree as a dental assistant, then decided to further her education in the field of dentistry. In 2016, Krystal graduated from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi with her degree in dental hygiene. Life and job opportunities brought Krystal and Dr. Smith to find their new home in New Braunfels. Krystal found her first job as a hygienist with a large dental corporation, which taught her many valuable things, not only as a provider but as a business owner. She practiced dental hygiene for three years before completely committing to managing Next Level Orthodontics with her husband.
Her experience as a dental hygienist, along with her previous experience as an orthodontic assistant, made her and Dr. Smith a great team in their endeavor of owning their own practice. Aside from dentistry, Krystal loves being a wife and mother. She has one son, Mason. In 2018, when she and Dr. Smith were married, she gained 3 more precious boys to love. In her spare time, Krystal enjoys watching them play tennis and soccer on the weekends. She also enjoys yoga, working out, finding tasty foods to eat, and wine to drink.
Betty is New Braunfels born and bred. In 2008, she received her RDA certification from Texas State. She worked in a wide variety of dental specialties but has found orthodontics to her favorite! She has 10 years of orthodontic experience and enjoys helping patients craft their beautiful smile. Betty and her husband of 32 years, Jay, have four children Scot, Ryan, Nicholas, and Lindsay.
She enjoys working in the orthodontic field, as it has been her main focus since she was in high school. She made her own dental club her in her junior year of high school, called Dentists in Training. She had guest speakers teach students about different dental specialties, such as general dentistry, dental hygiene, and of course, orthodontics.
Out of high school, she was hired at her first job as an assistant, where she learned all about the beauty of braces. A couple of years later, she was accepted to the University of Texas San Antonio, where she decided to study biology in order one day be an orthodontist herself! While studying at UTSA, she had the opportunity to meet Dr. Smith, and she found her calling as a Treatment Coordinator at his office.
In her free time, Sage enjoys going to concerts, hanging out with her newly-wed husband, Ben, and friends and exploring new places! Sage cant wait to meet you, so if you see her around the office be sure to say hello!
Grace was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas and moved down to New Braunfels at the end of her middle school. She is currently in college, studying for her degree in Business and Entrepreneurship. Through her amazing experience as a receptionist at Next Level Orthodontics, she hopes to grow into office manager one day! On her free time, she is a makeup artist and enthusiast, who also loves hanging out with her friends and big family of 6. Grace loves to meet new friends and enjoys getting to help out in the community through her church, as the 4th and 5th grade volunteer teacher. At her church she choreographs dances for little kids taking part in their annual Christmas show! She found her calling in Orthodontics, and is very excited to get to learn new things every day!
Morgan was raised in the Houston suburban area and first moved to New Braunfels in 2016 she has always had a big heart and loved helping others when she can. She thinks a smile is one of our most important features and loves to see people smile confidently! Being on such a great team and helping our patients achieve this makes her day! In her spare time, she enjoy traveling, the beach, and spending time with her family!
Estefania was born in Mexico and was brought to New Braunfels, Texas when she was only 1, and was raised here. She completely loves New Braunfels, and did her schooling here, and is a proud Unicorn! She attended and graduated the University of Incarnate Word in 2019, where she got her Dental Assistant certification. She worked in general dentistry for almost 2 years, and during that time she found that the orthodontic part of it, really interested her. She loves being a part of getting everyone back to a healthy mouth. She believes a smile is ones most important feature, and is always happy to tell you her journey of how she got her smile back with Invisalign. In her free time she likes to work on resin crafts, play with her 2 beautiful cats, go to the beach anytime she can and hang out with her Husband, (which is her high school sweetheart!) and with family.
She is passionate about helping others and being a part of a team. Her goal is to help create beautiful smiles and educate patients on their orthodontic treatment. In her spare time, she enjoys country drives in her Jeep, floating the river, and spending time with her two beautiful girls.
Autumn was born in Cuero Texas, then moved to San Antonio to attend dental assistant school at Concorde Career College where she graduated in 2021. Her goal is to help create beautiful smiles and enjoy working with an amazing team.
Aulona is an Albanian from Kosovo who was brought as a refugee to the states as a baby. She grew up in Texas but has always travelled and explored new places. She is a mom to a baby boy and has dogs as well! She attended Concorde Career College in San Antonio and graduated 2022. After extern, she knew she loved being at Next Level Orthodontics and stayed with the team.
Sara Comes from Kenosha Wi. Where she lived there for 20 years with her husband Joe. She is a mother of 4 children and 3 grandchildren. She moved here from Wisconsin in 2020 to New Braunfels. She has been an Orthodontic Assistant for over 17 years. She also was a volunteer Emt-I/ Fire Fighter for 6 years. In her spare time Sara loves spending time with her family and her two-fur babies Ricky Bobby and Suzie Q. She loves living here in New Braunfels and is glad she can call this home. She is so excited to call Next Level Orthodontics her new work family and help them provide beautiful smiles to the community.
