A Smile. It costs nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash and the memory of it lasts forever. None are so rich that they can get along without it, and none are so poor but are richer for a smile. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anyone until it is given away.
Researchers continue to expand the frontiers of dentistry by improving techniques, treatments and technology. Dr. Magida and his team regularly attend various conferences and seminars to enhance their skills. The following is a sample of the activities participated in:
Since May 1999, Dr. Magida has taken advanced courses in orthodontic diagnosis and techniques. These courses are taught by dentists who are recognized as leaders in their field. He continues to take orthodontic courses since this is an area of dentistry that interests him very much.
Cosmetic dentistry is also a major area of interest to Dr. Magida and he has taken courses taught by the best in the profession. Dr. Ronald Jackson, Dr. Bill Strupp, Dr. Bill Dickerson. Dr. Robert Nixon and Dr. David Hornbrook, all well-known educators, are just a few of the leaders Dr. Magida has learned from and who have helped him fine tune his dental expertise.
Dr. Magida became interested in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliances in 2002. As a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, he is able to keep up to date in this extremely interesting and dynamic field. There are always new developments and techniques to learn about. Being a member of a monthly study club helps him to stay abreast of all advances in the area.
Since 1988, Dr. Magida has had the privilege of being on staff at several nursing and convalescent homes. Helping patients at these facilities with their dental problems has been a rewarding experience.
Dr. Magida is a member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Society, the International Association for Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, as well as a member of both the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Magida has been honored by achieving the status of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. This fellowship was awarded during the summer of 2000 in Toronto. To achieve this award a dentist must complete over 500 hours of continuing education in all areas of dentistry and pass a 6 hour written test.
Dr. Magida received his bachelors degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania, a well-regarded Ivy League institution. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, a world renowned dental school. After graduating dental school, Dr. Magida was asked to participate in an extra one year program at the dental school. This program included a select group of newly graduated dentists, who upon completion of a very rigorous year long program, were awarded a Fellowship in Advanced General Dentistry. Dr. Magida was then asked to remain at the dental school as a faculty member. He taught both undergraduate and graduate dental students for several years.

One of the BEST experiences I have ever had for so many reasons. This was the first time I had to "Pre Medicate" prior my appointment due to a surgery I had in February. My prescription said to take the antibiotic an hour prior my appointment. One hour prior my appointment, I received a call from the this office telling me to take my antibiotics!! definitely impressed feeling as if I had a personal assistant. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a beautiful sweet girl who went over the initial paperwork. Minutes after I was called to the the examining room and greeted by my hygienist "Kristina" who was so personal and kind I felt as if I knew her for years. She was fast, efficient , thorough and explained in detail everything she was doing. SHE WAS ONE OF THE MOST GENTLEST Oral Hygienist I have ever had. I forgot to tell her I had sensitive teeth and guess what, I didnt have to due to her amazing techniques. She checked for cancer around around my face, and neck almost as if I were getting a massage .. who would have thought a dental exam would feel good. They check for TMJ with their most up-to-date equipment. The Dentist came in who was extremely personal and professional and DIDN'T HURT. He examined each aspect of my mouth and I totally felt as if I was in the best of care. The office is very up to date with a TV you can watch during your exam! I am sending my Son and Fiance there for their next cleaning. Thank you Newtown Dental Care .. going to the Dentist is something I will look forward to in the future. Thanks again Dr. Magida and all of your amazing crew!

Was recommended and SO happy I decided to make this my new dental office in the area. They are quick, thorough, and above all else honest with you. Also, helps that the staff is beyond amazing. Somehow I managed to have great conversation with everyone while they were working in my mouth haha. Will happily walk in the door for a cleaning every six months with this crew.

Very clean and nice looking place upon entering. This was my time there as a new patient (referred to this place by my husband who has been coming here for years). Everyone was friendly and helpful -the receptionist ladies were warm and personable and the hygienist (Jessica) was awesome! She was extremely thorough and explained every step in the process to me, making sure I was comfortable along the way. I have been a patient of Dr. Magida for almost 30 years. If I didn't think he and his staff were the best, I would have left years ago. Erica, one of the dental hygienists, is friendly, personable and very professional. The entire staff put the patient first always. They make going to the dentist a pleasurable experience.
