New materials, techniques, and research are truly making dentistry a joy and, dare I say, painless today.
I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2000. I have a Bachelor of Science in biomedicalengineering from Boston University, and I did a one-year general practice residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.I have several professional memberships, including the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I am also a Spear Club member and take Spear Education courses and workshops, among others.
I offer an integrative, holistic approach to those patients who are interested in the natural lifestyle. It is my belief that naturopathic remedies offer great value in preventing and treating disease.These approaches may not work for everyone and every case, but when appropriate, they are proving to be efficient and effective.
I love spending time with my family. I have a young son who is in elementary school. My family and I enjoy the outdoors; we are happiest in some form of green space.My husband is an amazing gardener; he has the green thumb, unfortunately not me.We like biking, kayaking, walking nature trails, beaches, mountains, and lots of fresh air. We enjoy growing our own food, cooking it in a healthy way, and sharing it with our friends and family. I personally love reading nonfiction books, pursuing my dental continuing education courses, and discovering new places.

Ioanas welcoming smile and happy attitude has made her a favorite among patients. She is truly a peoples person: she is friendly and positive, has a can do attitude, and will bend over backwards to help others and her team. Secretly, she admits to being a perfectionist. We all love working with Ioana: shes kind, funny, helpful, and personable.
Lisa is one of our registered dental hygienists. She brings many years of experience in patient care, treating pediatric and adult patients. Lisa loves working in our office and interacting with our patients and her team friends. She is thorough, knowledgeable and has a gentle touch. Lisa is a knowledgeable myofacial therapist and takes special interest in the relationship of oral structures to the proper development of teeth and jaw.
Lucica is our wonderful certified dental assistant. She brings many years of dental experience. She is a professional photographer who loves taking photos of people and bringing out the best in them. Lucica is friendly, creative and knowledgeable.
Stacyhas more than 20 years of experience as a dental hygienist. She is gentle, knowledgeable and thorough.She has extensive experience in preventive dental care. Her speciality is non-surgical and wholistic periodontal care.

Of all the dentists I have ever been to, Dr. Michaela De Santis is the one I trust and feel comfortable with. I am a real sissy in the dentist chair so saying this has a lot of meaning! Also, I find their prices reasonable and even generous, since she never rushes through your appointment. I love her calm demeanor and creative thinking with solutions that are best for the client. Also, Dr. De Santis chooses her materials with the health of your whole body in mind: so less harmful materials in your fillings and body in general. She supports simple and effective maintenance such as "oil pulling" with coconut oil to reduce infections, which you can do at home. Thumbs up, Michaela!

Solid, professional staff. I travel from the North Shore to take advantage. Excellent ventilation, masking, face shields... I have experience in airborne tests and controls, and appreciate the professional attitudes. Aside from that, really good dentistry.

Visited the office for the first time on Monday, 3/29, and could not have been treated more pleasantly! Wonderful job of repairing (bonding) my broken tooth by Dr. DeSantis. Quick, painless, and perfectly done. This was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Dr Desantis is always very professional, kind and helpful. She is a great dentist and is very honest about what you need. I love that she's also a great communicator and let's you know what she's doing and why when you're getting work done. Stacy is my favorite hygienist and gave me tips on how to improve my gum health and it worked! I feel really taken care of and I'm psyched my gum health has improved. Everyone is great that works here. I have been a client for at least a decade now and am a "lifer !"

Most thorough cleaning (and gentle) I've seen before. Dr. Desantis does a very thorough job with evaluation, walks you through all details of it, honest recommendations. She also has training in sleep disorders which is a plus. Very pleasant experience overall. Hygienists are careful about doing their best to avoid your discomfort during cleaning and do a thorough job.

This is a wonderful practice! Dr. DeSantis is a fantastic dentist who really cares about her patients! Her attention to detail, active listening, and willingness to explain every procedure put the most apprehensive patient to ease. Her staff is also very friendly and kind.
