Dr. Cavalieri received his Endodontic training at Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts; and is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he achieved recognition by graduating in 1971 in less than four academic years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Jesuit University of Scranton, Pennsylvania; and is a former Major of the United States Air Force Dental Corps. Dr. Cavalieri enjoys collecting wine, golfing, backpacking and skiing.
Dr. Pene is a native of Southern California and the Orange County area. He attended the University of California, Irvine, where played NCAA soccer for four years and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went on to graduate Cum laude from UCLA Dental School, and received his postdoctoral training in Endodontics from the University of Washington. After two years in Seattle, he returned to Southern California. Dr. Pene resides in Newport Coast with his wife, Tracy, and their two sons.
Dr.Otiswas born and raised in Huntington Beach, California. He attended the University of Michigan and the University of Pacific Dental School where he graduated with honors. Following dental school, Dr.Otiscompleted a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration in West Los Angeles. He then attended the University of Florida for his Endodontic training and has since returned to Southern California to be closer to his family. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing piano.

I had a very complicated abscess that required root canals on two teeth, so six canals and I needed my gum opened up for further drainage. It was a real mess. I opted for sedation and am so grateful they offer it. Miraculously, when I woke up over 3 hours later, I had no real pain. Dr. Cavalieri is really good. I have a very low tolerance for pain and to wake from something so grueling pain-free means Dr Cavalieri is one of those guys who knows how to place novocaine so it's effective and it lasts. I'm so thankful this office was able to fit me into their schedule when I had an emergency.

Another great and awesome experience at Newport endodontics at Newport Beach with our great friend, Dr. Cavalieri. Had to take my wife Shahida to Dr.Cavalieri office, The doctor and his staff Candice and Peggy, who always treat us like there own family as, they always come through with flying colors and always warm and welcoming and not satisfied until whatever work may have been needed. Our great gratitude for Dr. Cavalieri and his staff goes beyond the stars . At times the doctor doesn't even charge us for the work he, does on my wife and it's not the first time he did that before also that make us speechless. Absolutely the best team of doctors available. I've had 4 root canals done here and amazed at how professional and absolutely highly skilled they are. Highly recommended to anyone.

I highly recommend Dr Otis. In July I had an urgent tooth situation my dentist identified and referred me to Dr Otis. I was leaving on a vacation in 2 days and Dr Otis graciously rearranged his schedule to be able to complete a needed root canal that same day that I first came in for a consult. Unfortunately I have had many root canals in my life and his was the best experience I've ever had - the least pain and have received compliments on the crown. He and his staff are professional, thorough and caring.

Doctor Penn my last review and see my miss spelling of doctor Penn!!!!! Yes Doctor I got to see him again and talk about knowledgeable he made me feel so amazing I need in the antibiotic and he knew what the problem was in a matter of us now and he so patient and wonderful I recommend him completely

Doctor Jeffery Pete and his wonderful amazing dentist assistant Susan!!! I am staying here from Massachusetts for a while and have found a wonderful dentist but due to a root canal I needed I was recommended to go downstairs and meet with Dr. Pene ,,, and his assistant Susan. Is my first time in the office and I met Susan his assistant first and she's wonderful very friendly upbeat made me feel very comfortable I have never had a root canal in my life so I asked a lot of questions and then I met Dr. Pene ,, Right away he made me feel at ease explained everything that was going to happen for my first wheel canal I felt very comfortable in the chair he was very patient and extremely professional. After I finished with the surgery they explained everything in the bonus was the next day the office called to check on me the care I received was amazing I would recommend coming here in a heartbeat I'm very grateful for this practice

Newport Endodontic Group was a lifesaver for me. I'm not too keen on going to the dentist in the first place, but when your regular dentist says you need a root canal and has to refer you to another doctor, it becomes twice as scary for guys like me. When I arrived at Newport Endodontic, I was greeted by a friendly and understanding staff who knew I had some concerns. I told them flat-out that I was nervous and even though I'm pretty sure they could already tell, they assured me everything would be okay and made me feel comfortable immediately. Dr. Cavalieri was extremely friendly and worked quickly. The entire procedure was close to painless and I was back to living pain free afterwards, which meant the world to me. Anyone who has experienced tooth pain knows what I'm talking about -- it can take over your life... so happy I found these guys and will recommend.
