Liz is a knowledgeable and skilled professional with over 20 years of dental experience in the field of periodontics. She has had the opportunity to work on both the clinical and administrative sides throughout her accomplished career.

Maggie, Surgical Assistant, Newport Beach PeriodonticsMaggie has enjoyed working as a Registered Dental Assistant since 2004. She received her training from Cypress College and has been a part of Dr. Staadeckers team since that time. She assists the doctors during all surgical procedures as well as helping patients through their post-operative care.
With a proud Guamanian heritage, Maggie was born in Northern California but has resided in Southern California for over fifteen years. She is happily married. She and her family understand honor and respect for every individual and this perspective is evident in her role as a Surgical Assistant.
Karen graduated from the USC in 1976 with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene then continued her training at Loma Linda to expand her clinical services and expertise. She has dedicated herself to her patients and their maintenance of oral health in our office for over 30 years!
A graduate of USC in 1977 with additional expanded function training, Barbara has devoted herself to our patients and practice since 1980! Through her experience, Barbara has developed a deep understanding of the value of good oral hygiene as the foundation for long-term oral health. She ensures each patient receives a thorough, yet gentle, periodontal maintenance cleaning and assists them in the use of the most current home care products. Patients agree that Barbara helps them achieve and maintain excellence in oral hygiene.
Stacy graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in English Literature and then went on to become a Dental Hygienist, graduating from Cypress College. This led her to combine two of her interests: dentistry and reading. She has been a dental hygienist for over 25 years and a part-time elementary school librarian for 11 years. Stacy believes that good oral health contributes to overall health and wants to ensure that her patients know this too. She is thorough yet gentle with her periodontal maintenance cleanings. She takes pleasure in developing a rapport with the patients and making them feel comfortable.
Linda has worked in the dental field since 2007. She finds the field of periodontics rewarding by helping patients improve their oral health, rejuvenate their smile and impact their general health. Lindas favorite past times are hiking, gardening, cooking and losing herself in a good book. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and two dogs.
Dr. Michael Almaraz was born and raised in Irvine, California. He attended dental school at the University of Washington, Seattle and completed his residency in Periodontology at the University of Southern California in 1994. He is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Almaraz practiced in Northern Nevada for 25 years as the founding member of a busy, three doctor periodontal group. He served the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners on the Anesthesia Committee and as the Continuing Education Chairman for the Northern Nevada Dental Society for many years. He is highly experienced in implant surgery, having placed over 10,000 implants in his career. He also enjoys soft tissue grafting and complex ridge/sinus augmentation procedures. Dr. Almaraz is dedicated to providing high quality and compassionate care to his patients.
He is excited to return to his Orange County coastal roots and continue in his passion for Periodontics and Dental implant surgery. While he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and playing the drums.

What a positive experience! Beautiful office, excellent well trained professional staff, and a very thorough and professional periodontist. I immediately felt at ease and not at all frightened or worried. I am seeing the doctor again in a few weeks and am sure that he will do great work!

Good results from my procedure so far, which is most important. Lost points on poor communication and inability to use email properly. The procedure I got was a lot more involving than I was prepared for. Even though I asked a lot of questions there was a lot of surprises in the follow up and the restrictions I had after my procedure, that I did not find out about until the day of my procedure. The take home instructions were boiler plate and half of them did not apply to me. They were also not written clearly. The doctor is very nice but was hard to understand sometimes. He did not use proper English, switching words that mean different things. I love diversity, but it took a lot of clarifying to understand at times. The office manager would start a new email each time she communicated via email, instead of hitting reply. This made things a little harder to follow. She did not request the Dentist confirm they received important emails she sent to them, even after I requested her to. I asked this because the Dentist office was not getting the emails from her and this set me back a little in terms of scheduling. I genuinely liked everyone in the office and hope the feedback is used to help them improve and not viewed as me just venting.

I have been a patient in Dr. Almaraz's office for years. Just 24 hours ago I was leaving the office after a half hour procedure taking a skin graft from the roof of my mouth and artistically arranging it below my lower front teeth. I know this sounds painful but Dr. Almaraz is an expert at pain relief and I felt nothing and felt relaxed through the entire surgery. His caring assistant YingYang did everything possible to make me comfortable. Yesterday I took two amoxicillin after surgery and haven't needed anything today. I highly recommend Dr. Almaraz and all his staff.

I had a situation where my previous implants failed. I was told that I would not have success if I tried again...Then I was referred to Dr. Almaraz for an extraction. He made it easy and then was able to do the implants where 2 other dentists had failed. I have 4 in total and all have gone exceptionally well and painlessly. Follow up was exceptional! AND THEN....Dr. Almaraz moved to Newport Beach. Newport Beach you are lucky to have him!!! If I ever need an implant again, I will gladly drive or fly the 500 miles to see Dr. Almaraz.

This was a pre-procedure consultation. Dr. Almaraz did a very thorough examination of all my teeth, and explained in great detail (including videos) what my condition was, and how the procedure would solve the issue. I have great confidence that my procedure will be successful with Dr. Almaraz. In addition, his assistant (Jolece?) was very helpful, and took good care of me!
