Dr. Palaksha grew up in Mumbai, India. She completed dental school from India in 2011. After moving to the United States, she completed her Masters in public health from Houston, Texas. She later moved to Boston and graduated from Boston University with a degree in dental medicine in 2017.
After having experienced living in different cities, she finally settled in Hamden, Connecticut. Being very passionate about dentistry, she continually strives to do the best she can for her patients.
Dr. Lam is a highly skilled dentist who has dedicated himself to providing the best possible dental care for his patients. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Commonwealth Honors College of Amherst with a bachelor of science in Kinesiology before earning his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
In addition to his clinical skills, Dr. Lam possesses extensive knowledge and experience in complex restorative treatments including implant placement and reconstructive surgeries. He is an active member of several prestigious dental organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Reza is a graduate of the University of California Berkeley and New York University College of Dentistry where he received his dental degree in Manhattan, NY. He has been practicing dentistry for over 10 years with extensive experience in oral surgery, endodontics, and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Reza also holds a Masters Degree in Dental Public Health from NYU College of Dentistry which emphasizes clinical research and preventive medicine for populations at risk for disease or injury to the mouth and teeth.
He moved to Connecticut in 2018 continuing his pursuit of excellence by providing exceptional care to patients throughout the state while specializing in minimally invasive procedures that focus on preserving healthy tooth structure as much as possible while delivering optimal treatment outcomes through innovative technologies.
Debbie is a professional dental hygienist who graduated with an associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Tunxis Community college in 2009. She has been practicing for 10 years and loves what she does! Before her career as a dental hygienist, Debbie was in the Army National Guard protecting our nation.
Stacy is an experienced office coordinator with over five years of administrative leadership. She has a wealth of knowledge and is available for support to both patients and staff. Stacy grew up scared of the dentist but now shes passionate about making patients as comfortable as possible, so they can love their visits here at our office!
Robert is a veteran of the dental industry, with over 18 years of clinical experience in general dentistry, pediatrics and orthodontics. After his career in clinic, he moved on to larger roles in administration where he managed employees on a larger scale.

Just got an excellent cleaning by Debbie the hygienist! Robert is the manager and very customer service oriented! He actually listens to you - it's not all about him, which is a rare trait for a young man! Thanks guys! Also Dr. Reza is a talented Dentist!

So grateful to have found this place! After 2 dentists telling me that couldn't perform my root canal because it was too complicated and that I needed to see an endodontist, and then husky giving me the names of "endodontists" that all either weren't actually or were too booked. Newpoint family dental was one of the ones on the list that wasn't actually an endodontist and they were about an hour away from me but they told me to come on in for them to take a look and I was thrilled when they said they'd be able to do it. 4 appointments total for the consultation, root canal, temporary crown and actual crown is about 8 hours of driving and was totally worth it! The staff is incredibly nice, talented and knowledgeable and the office itself is beautiful.

Had an awful experience with my previous dentist. Newport Family Dental's entire staff were amazing. Receptionist's were extremely friendly and helpful, my hygienist was wonderful and both Dr's I saw on 2 different occasions were thorough, put my mind at ease (due to a problem I was having), and developed a treatment plan for me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of dental care. A++

Wish we found Dr. Reza and his staff sooner! They are amazing and provide exceptional service, very professional, and incredibly friendly. They are caring, go above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable, and explain details of procedure. Dr. Reza is wonderful and a master at his craft. The facility is clean and sanitary. The best in Connecticut! Highly recommend their services.

Had the best experience with a new dental office. They are the most courteous, friendly and welcoming staff. Coming from an awful expereince from one dentist to another that was saying I needed more work done and from there to this office. I learned that my dental needs were not as bad as I was told previously. So glad that I found Newpoint Family Dental.

Beautiful office! Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff went above and beyond accommodating the fact that I had to bring my 1 year old with me for my appointment. Deb, my hygienist, made sure to explain what she was doing and had a wonderful personality. The dentist was just as pleasant and made sure to go over all of my concerns and treatment options. 10/10 would recommend Newpoint Family Dental.

I had my first appointment today and could be happier. Walking into the appointment I was a nervous wreck because of the work I need done. Robert was more than amazing. Extremely kind and courteous and explained everything in detail. Dr. Palaksha Was great as well, very gentle during the exam. Looking forward to continuing my care here.

Robert was very friendly and efficient. My dental Hygenist Deb was fabulous with cleaning and X-rays. ! I love that the office is in a house. The rooms were spotless and had windows which I happen to like. They seem to care to take the time to by sure that your insurance is in network and therefore less costly. One visit so far but a happy one.
