He completed specialty training in prosthodontics at the University of Alabama, where he also received a Master of Science degree. He has also trained with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
During his training, Dr. Patel received extensive training in implant reconstruction, esthetics/cosmetics, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, complete and removable partial dentures, TMD-Jaw Joint problems, traumatic injuries to teeth and supporting structures, snoring and sleep disorders, post-cancer reconstruction, and continuing care. Prosthodontists are masters of reconstruction.
He is a volunteer dentist at The Ben Massell Clinic in Atlanta, which serves nearly 6,000 patients annually by providing them with vital oral health care. He also teaches dental students on rotation from the Medical College of Georgia and is actively involved in teaching and research, and receives referrals from practicing dentists across the state.
Dr. Patel served as editor for Georgia Dental Association. Hes involved with the Fellowship of American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists, an honor reserved for 1% of dentists for their service to the dental profession and their community.
Dr. Patel also serves as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Prosthodontics, a premier professional peer-reviewed journal published by the American College of Prosthodontics. He resides in Marietta with his wife and two daughters.
Prosthodontics is the area of dental medicine specializing in reconstruction. This includes implants, cosmetic dentistry, crowns, and much more! Prosthodontics training takes an additional two to three years to complete after dental school. Dr. Patel is recognized by the American Dental Association for his expertise in prosthodontics.

i have never had a dentist to hurt me like this one did. He has damaged my mouth beyond repair. After two years, I'm still going to specialist to try and repair the damage. He has hurt so many people. Please share so he won't hurt anyone else. This person doesn't deserve any stars. I had dental work done on April 10th, 2019 and I'm still in incredible pain. The dentist extracted my lower teeth and put in 4 implants. He destroyed my gums in the process. I'm still having sharp pains shooting through my gums. The implants throb like a toothache and I still feel like someone punched me in the chin. I couldn't drive for two weeks after my surgery because of the pain and dizziness. I couldn't pick anything off the floor for three months after surgery. I have been sleeping in my recliner for almost two years now. I can't lay down flat anymore. He didn't tighten up any of my abutments.. so when he put my hybrid on it shifted my chin to the left. He made me buck tooth on the bottom. I kept bitting my lip and inside of my mouth. I had to purposely keep my tongue between my teeth for months because it hurt so bad and for my teeth to even touch. I'm walking around with four implants in my mouth without a permanent plate. I'm wearing a denture so I have teeth on bottom. He and his office manager promised me he would give me all my money back on the phone and in a text. To the sum of $25,000 dollars plus almost a $1,000 insurance payment. He has money for work he even hasn't even done and refuses to give it back.

Absolute worst dentist I have ever been to. Rude, unprepared, condescending and no bedside manners whatsoever. My last visit was traumatic, I literally begged him to stop. The staff is nice. I feel sorry for them.

Dr Patel fixed my teeth from affordable dentures! He went without any prior paperwork, somehow he pulled it off! I wasn't left to deal with the pain from 8 implants on top, and 4 bottom. Of course we are having to do a few adjustments,being he had to work from nothing.

I have the best smile in my life. My teeth are so natural looking. The color of my teeth is so real looking. All of the dental clinics will refer you to him. He is the best in this area. His assistant team are so knowledgeable. He sees all his assistants work. If he is not satisfied he will have if done over. He strives for perfection and will not stop until he is satisfied. It is money well spent. You get what you pay for

Dr. Kumar Patel fixed my teeth and gave me a great smile. He has done an outstanding job with implants and crowns. The entire staff are extraordinary and took care of me the entire five months in between appointments. Greatly appreciate and thankful that I have chosen the Dental Care Center of Newnan.

Please don't use this dentist. He ruined me for life. I have to have surgery at Emory to repair the damage he did to my mouth. Then 6 more months of healing. He stole my money. He has my money for work he didn't even do. He told me on the phone and in a text he was going to refund my money then refused. He's not a honest person...please don't use him.

I will always recommend Dental Care Center Newnan. My implants is amazing and Dental work is exceptional. The care , love and respect was shown to me I will never forget. If it was not for Dr. Patel and his staff I would not have not gotten such wonderful dental care. Dr. Patel is the best dentist I have ever been too. They have incorrectly filed my insurance multiple times and have waited MONTHS after my appointment to actually file the claim with my company. Not to mention the Dentist is incredibly rude and pushy about unnecessary braces and teeth whitening. My last appointment I came in complaining about tooth pain and the man basically fish hooked my check with his finger and pressed his finger into my back tooth as hard as he could and then just told me to stop grinding and didn't even examine my teeth. He then rushed me out like my tooth pain was a complete inconvenience to him. I won't be coming back.

I don't recognize the hygienists names in the other reviews, so these may be older reviews. I can honestly say, I have not met a single person who works there who isn't friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Patel genuinely cares about the work he does, and that is saying something these days. The only time I have seen him frustrated, was in an effort to provide me with a perfect smile/bite. Things happen sometimes outside of anyone's control, but I have 100% confidence in the end result with these folks! I will continue to go to this clinic as long as it is available to me. I have been to a lot of different dentists in my lifetime, but none where every single person in the office, from the dentist to the receptionist, is as knowledgeable and proficient as these folks. I most definitely recommend them to others. Oh, and I am going through extensive restoration too. I am in the healing process following full upper implants. I am not getting the over-denture either, but rather the most complicated option; a series of bridges. Any time I have a problem, I am able to get right in, and have the problem fixed. I feel so lucky to have found them!
