Dr. Seth Newman is the founder of Straight Set Orthodontics. Straight Set Orthodontics has grown to serve patients throughout the greater New York metro area.

Dr. Newman not only expects excellence from his team of doctors and staff for customer service and clinical excellence but also holds himself to the highest standards as an orthodontic provider. Dr. Newman is continually learning so that he and his team can implement the latest orthodontic innovations.

His passion for orthodontics has recently culminated in a book he authored called Giving it to you Straight. The book applies their passion for customer service and orthodontics and was intended to simplify orthodontics for patients.

Dr. Seth Newman is a board-certified orthodontic specialist for over fifteen years. He is a graduate of Binghamton University and completed his dental training at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class. He received multiple honors and awards, including the distinction of being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Newman furthered his education at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He continued his post-graduate studies in Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU, Dr. Newman participated as a clinical instructor of the Invisalign appliance. He is also a past clinical-attending-doctor at Northwell (formerly LIJ).

Dr. Newman and his wife, Stacey, reside in Roslyn, Long Island and are the proud parents of two sons, Alex and Charlie, and one princess, Kaylee. As a family, they enjoy boating, skiing and surrounding themselves with good friends and loving family.

Dr. Jennifer Salzer is a board-certified orthodontist and graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, where she received her dental degree and post-graduate certificate in orthodontics. She is also a graduate of Duke University where she majored in psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience. Throughout her dental education, she received six academic and scholarship awards, was a member of the deans list and OKU Academic Fraternity, and she completed a dual honors program in pediatrics and orthodontics.

Dr. Salzer was one of the first orthodontists in the country to use Invisalign almost twenty years ago. Since then, she has treated thousands of cases and was one of the first certified instructors for Align Technology, training orthodontists and general dentists across the country on how to use the technique. She has consistently been in the top 1% of Invisalign providers in the country.

Dr. Salzer was chosen by Procter and Gamble to be a spokesperson for Crest dental products and appeared in a national television commercial and numerous media appearances. She was also a member of the Crest Pro-Health advisory board.

Dr. Himank Gupta grew up in the state of Connecticut. He attended University of Connecticut for his undergraduate and his Dental Degree. He loved Uconn so much that he stayed there for his Orthodontic Degree and finished the program in 2018! Hes been trained in many of the latest technologies and is very passionate about Dentistry. Dr. Gupta regularly attends continuing education to keep in sync with all latest technologies! He is a dedicated and passionate Orthodontist who emphasizes a great care and a goal of a perfect smile for all his patients. He is an active member of New York Dental State Association, American Association of Orthodontists and American Dental Association. Dr. Gupta currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife who is a Pathologist at SUNY Downstate Hospital. During his free time, Dr. Gupta loves to run and hes signed up for his first marathon, New York City Marathon, in 2020! He also loves binge watching shows on Netflix and flying his recreational drone and editing videos!

Angela knows orthodontics! Not only has she been working with Dr. Newman since 2010, she is a mother of two children who underwent orthodontics, and was most recently an Invisalign patient. Angela understands the concerns that both parents and children may experience. She will tell you to fuggedaboutit and have a sit down to carefully explain you or your childs orthodontic treatment. Not only will Angela help you decide what orthodontic treatment is best for you, she will also be sure to tell you the latest about her kids, and the the best restaurant you gotta try!

Page is the newest addition to the Newman Orthodontics team and we couldnt be happier. She takes great pride in keeping our schedule running as seamlessly as our treatment, efficiently, and on time. Rumor has it she once made a patient who was running late drop and give her 20. Behind that tough woman exterior is a huge heart. Just show her a photo of your puppy dog and watch the warmth shine through.

Spencer strives to make sure our office is the most up to date on all social media and trends. If you are one of our amazing Instagram followers you are one of Spencers fans. He not only maintains our social media, he is also our in house photographer and can be seen secretly taking photos of our smiling patients. He strives to maintain a positive attitude and keep everyone smiling. Outside the office, Spencers a DJ and loves to make music in his free time.

Daisy enjoys working in our office, but she loves to dance. She has been known to spontaneously break out with some impressive moves. After narrowly missing acceptance to Juilliard, Daisy started her dental career at BOCES Technical School. Not only is she a talented orthodontic assistant, she also makes sure our clinical area is well stocked and running in tip top shape. Our patients always enjoy working with Daisy as she is always calm and works with grace, but mostly she has been known to share some of her moves.

Jisselle has come a long way from when she entered the dental field by answering phones for a general dentist. Although she loves to talk, she discovered that working with patients was her true calling. She loves being an orthodontic assistant and prides herself in working with our most challenging patients. Jisselle knows how to make an impression, especially when its for a retainer. Jisselle was once rumored not to smile for five minutes straight, it turned out she was only sleeping.

Yarmin started in our office as a records technician. Although she took some pretty awesome records, it wasnt long before her talents began to shine through and we prompted her to be an orthodontic assistant. Not only is she bilingual and fluent in Spanish, she is rumored to have a strong understanding of Mandarin. Yarmins empathy and gentleness always makes our patients feel at ease. She has a strong interest in cosmetics and facial esthetics, and therefore, always looks her best!

Kelsey always knew she had a passion for teeth when she found herself always staring at her own. She joined our practice hoping to gain some hands-on experience in the dental field and quickly fell in love with orthodontics. If shes not in the office, you can catch her shopping till she drops. She still holds the record for the fastest iTero scan with a time of two minutes six seconds.

Since joining our practice, Karla has become a big asset to our team. Other than her selfie taking skills, she takes pride in her record taking and intraoral scanning skills. She wont rest until all of our instruments are sterilized, packed, and ready to use. When Karla is out of the office she loves to cook, so dont forget to ask her about one of her newest recipes. They are so amazing!

Be careful, Taylors smile and enthusiasm is contagious, that is unless she is without her coffee. Taylor loves what she does, so much so, we never give her a day off. Taylor has recently become our office manager and we couldnt be happier! Taylor strives to keep our office running smoothly and ensure our patients are always having the most positive experience. She is also always there to listen to any concerns you may have and help guide you through every step of your orthodontic treatment. Just like Clark Kent, Taylors signature accessory is her glasses. If youre a super girl fan, just ask her to take them off and watch what happens.

After graduating, Dr. Seth Newman entered real world orthodontics only quickly to realize there was a problem. The focus had become centered around the mechanics of orthodontics and lost sight of those we were there to serve. This frustrated Dr. Newman and he knew he could do it, as some would say, more better. In 2007 he opened the doors of Newman Orthodontics with a core value of value: Its not about us. By putting patients first and investing in a first-class team, our vision has become an amazing practice. We love our patients (not in a creepy way) and we know our patients feel the same.

In 2014, Dr. Newman and his team were able to expand these philosophies by opening an office in Garden City. By merging the practices of Dr. Daniel Bythewood and Susan Tierney, they rebranded as Straight Set Orthodontics. Most recently, in 2019 open a new location in New Hyde Park by acquiring the office of Dr. Margaret Zadnik.

Our team of amazing doctors now also includes doctors Tyrun Ray, Tina An, and Himank Gupta. With the mission of providing the best orthodontic treatment in Nassau County, our doctors continually travel nationally and internationally to bring the worlds best treatment home to Long Island.
