When we first moved to Stamford I chose this office because when I spoke to the original secretary they mentioned they had experience with children with disabilities. Clearly this was not shown with the staff up front. I bring my nonverbal special needs child here who is 4 years old. We have been coming for almost two years. I've never had any issues up until his latest appointment. The dentist and dental assistant were very patient and compassionate with my son and are so wonderful. The issue was the waiting area staff. We went on a busy time and they recently cut the office hours. Usually my son gets taken in right away because of his disability. We don't mind waiting as I was there with my mom who is able to help me redirect and calm him down. I was commenting to my mom that we usually get taken in right away but it happens to look like it's a busy time. I admit my son was rowdy as he hates medical appointments because he always has to be held down for procedures. So he is anxious coming to offices as is. My issue was that while my son was having a hard time being calm, I heard one of the receptionists scoffing and I could hear her indirectly saying things like "ooh" while speaking to another patient and I had to say out loud "he is autistic". My son was giving us a hard time to sit still and I heard her say under her breath "well they can wait now". I guess she must have heard what I said about waiting and took it out of context. my mom took him to the car to wait, no problem. The dental assistant was very patient as I called for them to bring him back. Everything went smoothly after that. See I worked as an admin assistant myself for 9 years so I know it was late during the day and medical offices are very stressful. I even heard you mention to another mother who came in after me with kids "have kids they say" and mention that you were also a mom. I would never, ever give customer service like this and go so far as to indirectly sarcastically comment on another child while they are having a hard time...indirectly to other patients and/or staff. Especially as a mother myself. I am now torn between changing offices as my son has major issues with changes of any kind. I'm extremely disappointed in our latest experience here.

Have been coming to this office for a while now and love it every time. My young daughter also comes here and has a great experience whenever she's due for a cleaning. They have a great team on board, from the front desk, to the hygienists and the dentists! Very professional, informative, personable and kind!! The space is great, very neat and welcoming. 5 stars all around :)

This is a great dental practice. The entire team (Dentists, Assistants and Administrative) were professional, thorough, caring, and efficient. Dr. Gong was very caring, honest and knowledgeable. I was a last minute consult and they were extremely accommodating to get me in on the same day. A thorough treatment plan was provided for consideration and was expediently sent. Great job 'Newfield Dental!'

Love the office. Great funny but serious Dr. The staff is great they contact your insurance before hand so when you go in the can tell you before you start. The cost of everything is broken down and what your insurance will pay and what you are responsible for. There is no surprise at the end. Great clean service and secure

They did a gorgeous interior lift. So zen and welcoming inside. I have anxiety if dentists and they were so considerate. They were very thorough and worked hard to ensure I was very clean, I had to do a very deep scaling cleaning.

No one should ever again be afraid of going to the dentist. This group, from the office, to assistants, hygienist, to the dentists, all put EXCELLENCE in the dictionary! And somehow, they even make it a fun experience!

One of the better experiences I have had with a dentist. Office is clean and kept neat and tidy. The staff were all friendly and very concerned with my comfort level, which is refreshing since this is still a health visit. Hygienist, Brenda, was thorough and also wasn't rough! Only 2 hygienist had ever taken care of me and I felt ok with returning to them! The other was in NYC. The dental assistant, Fernando, was friendly and funny. Kept the conversation light and it was like speaking with an old friend! That helped to put me at ease. The Dentist, Stephen, was really friendly and professional. The only discomfort I felt was with keeping my mouth open, even with the bite guard thing they gave, and barely felt anything even with the deeper filling! Not all Dentist's Offices are the same, I will definitely be returning for my cleanings! (And hopefully not need any other work done! :D )
