A board-certified pediatric dentist is one of a small group of leading practitioners in the field of pediatric dentistry. In order to be considered a pediatric dentist, one must complete four years of dental training at an accredited U.S. dental school, and another three years of specialty training in an accredited pediatric dentistry program.
In order to achieve ABPD (American Board of Pediatric Dentistry) board certification, a pediatric dentist must first successfully complete the aforementioned training, and then must go through the rigorous process of completing the requirements to become board-certified. These additional requirements include passing a complex written qualifying examination as well as an in-person oral clinical examination. Thus, those pediatric dentists who have become board-certified, have demonstrated an advanced clinical and scientific mastery of pediatric dentistry.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) is the leading organization of pediatric dentists in the United Sates and there are two levels of membership. Pediatric dentists can be a Member, or they can achieve the status of a Fellow. In order to become a Member of the AAPD, one must have completed an accredited Pediatric Dentistry specialty program. And in order to become a Fellow, a pediatric dentist must be member in good standing of the AAPD for five consecutive years, and be board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). Fellows of the AAPD have demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Lindi Ezekowitz grew up in Woodbridge, Ct. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Rochester in New York, where she majored in biology and was awarded a scholarship to study flute performance at the Eastman School of Music.
Dr. Lindi received her D.D.S. at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, and completed her pediatric dental training at Schneiders Childrens Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. She is currently on staff at the Franciscan Childrens Hospital in Brighton, Massachusetts, where she provides comprehensive dental rehabilitation for young children and children with special needs. She is a diplomate to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
When Dr. Lindi is not fixing teeth, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to Tanglewood or Vermont, and playing her flute. Prior to dental school, Dr. Lindi taught music appreciation classes for pre-school children and has been known to sing to her young patients, frequently making up her own words.
Dr. Lindi is very active in Alpha Omega, an international philanthropic dental organization. Alpha Omega is known for founding Israels two dental schools and its support of programs such as the Special Olympics Special Smiles, an organization dedicated to the oral and dental health of children with special needs.

The staff at Newburyport Pediatric Dentistry PC are friendly, professional and wonderful with young children. My daughter has been for 2 dental exams/cleanings now. I am very impressed as to the level of care, excellent energy and happy atmosphere- Thank you!! Highly recommended!

Dr. Lindi is amazing, she has been the best pediatric dentist my family has ever been to. I have children from 26 to 8 and been to a few dentists along the way BUT she is definitely the best!

I cannot say enough about the care that Dr. Lindi and her staff provide my 4 year old daughter with! She had her first filling yesterday and they went above and beyond to make the procedure painless, sweetly talking to her, letting her watch Encanto. She and her staff are absolutely wonderful with children!

My daughter who has had an extreme fear of the dentist was able to conquer this fear with the help of Dr Lindi and Hillary today during a filling. What amazing patience, kindness, and team work they both demonstrated with her. From the second we walked in they were so open and communicated every detail of what they were going to do. No surprises what so ever which is very important when helping someone who has a fear of the dentist. They continuously listened to her concerns and responded appropriately. I couldn't believe how much time they gave my daughter to relax and feel comfortable. I am so thankful for their help and support as they made this cavity filling a possibility in office rather than the alternative which would have been the hospital. As a parent I appreciate all that they have done with making this experience a positive one for my daughter. I highly recommend Dr Lindi and Hillary- the dynamic duo!

I am so thankful for the team at NPD! My 2 year old is NOT easy and has a lot of staining on his teeth so has already been a few times. They do such an amazing job on him and are extremely patient and professional. I wish they could be my dentist! I truly love them! I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Dr Lindi was wonderful yesterday. I was refer by my daughter's dentist just the day before to address a permanent tooth that was degrading at an alarming rate. The tooth never formed correctly. Dr Lindi took additional X-rays then spent a long time with me reviewing the options. She was straight forward about what would be involved in 'saving the tooth', numerous procedures, and the likely inevitably that it would be removed away. She explained the down side to of trying to save it now, remove later and loose an opportunity to have another tooth move into its place. She explained the option of removing it and how we would immediately involve an orthodontist and what that would look like, the long view. I appreciated the full picture from her professional view and from her perspective of being a mother herself, helping me make the best decision.

We drive 40 minutes just to come to this office. The staff at the front window, all the dental technicians and the dentists here have to be the nicest around. They make us feel so comfortable, my son refuses to go any where else. I highly recommend any of the dentists at this office. They have your child's best dental interest at heart but will not push you to do anything. 10/10 for us

I brought my 2 year old in for his first dental apt yesterday and the staff was truly amazing. They were very patient with him and let him play with all the tools prior to using them on him. The DMD was so sweet too! Highly recommend.

Yes the dentist is wonderful. However you pay your bill right then and there. I have no problem with that. However they over charge you and refuse to refund the overage.

I am so unbelievably impressed! My son needed extensive attention to all four quadrants of his mouth. The dentist Dr. Lindi, helped me figure out a treatment schedule to minimize my costs and limit my exposure after the annual insurance limit was reached. They use brilliant distractions and clever language to shelter the children from the scary or gross parts of dental surgery. Because my son had such a positive experience with his first dental surgery I feel certain that he will have less fear of going to the Dentist throughout his life. They were willing to move right away too, where 3 other dentists tried to get us to wait months for service. I am so glad I found these guys. My neighbor recommended them, and I am so grateful!

Our first visit at Newburyport Pediatric dentist was great! Alyssa did an amazing job making sure my daughter was comfortable. She explained to her what every tool did and what she was going to do next. The doctor explained the next steps in an easy to understand way. Everyone in the office was extremely kind!

My daughter was 19 months when we saw Dr Sulyanto. I had several concerns about her teeth and also how to deal with brushing them when she would always be so fractious. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was incredibly friendly. The hygienist was amazing, setting up a show on the overhead tv for my daughter and walking me through the process, always being very reassuring to me and my girl as she was crying. The hygienist and Dr Sulyanto showed me a technique that my husband and I could use for brushing to ensure a good cleaning with less tears. I loved our experience. They did not take our insurance but I felt like the visit was well worth the expense and intend to continue bringing my children there.
