After that, he was accepted to the prestigious New York University, College of Dentistry where he not only obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, but also graduated as one of the top students in his class in 2013. He has expanded his knowledge by taking extensive courses in orthodontics, implants, cosmetics, veneers, and more. Better known as Dr. Sam by his patients and his team, Dr. Saman Saghizadeh is a dentistry practitioner in Newbury Park, CA. He brings a good balance of humor, calmness, and professionalism in the work environment.
He moved to Los Angeles when he was just a child and attended Beverly Hills High School. It is in his childhood, that he discovered his love and passion for science. He went on to pursue Sociology for his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated with Cum Laude Honors.
Dr. Samans love for science and the passion to help others feel more confident about themselves drew him to dentistry. He moved to New York to study at the New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry where he graduated with honors in Endodontics in 2013. After his graduation, he moved back to Los Angeles to practice in the region and also be closer to his family.
Together with his twin brother Dr. Peyman Saghizadeh Dr. Sam is now a dentist in Thousand Oaks, CA at Newbury Dental Group. Over the years working in general and cosmetic dentistry, he has honed his skills and gained valuable experience in all aspects of dentistry including preventative dentistry, dental implant placement, and dental restoration.

Sam Trumbauer has been working in the dental field since she was 16 years old. While working in her first office she received her dental x-rays license and Registered dental assistant license. She took a short break when she started her family but returned to the dental field in 1994.
Sam comes to Newbury Dental Group with vast experience as an office manager, treatment coordinator, insurance and financial manager. She will work effectively with your dental insurance to make sure you have optimal use of your benefits. With her dental knowledge she is able to answer your questions about treatment efficiently. Sam also works as an assistant when needed and x-ray technician with our 3D unit.
Sams favorite part of working in a dental office is being able to develop a relationship with the patients. Getting to know them on a personal level and helping them to achieve the best overall health as possible.
Sam grew up in the area and has lived most of her life in the Conejo Valley. Sam has been married for 37 years and has 3 daughters. She loves spending her down time with her family and large extended family that still lives in the area. She loves to work out, hike, cook and read whenever she get a chance, and her favorite place to go is the beach where her and her husband spend as much time as possible
Yessi joined Newbury Dental group as a certified dental assistant with her dental x-ray license. Yessi is a great asset as a chairside assistant and also front office assistant. She enjoys working in the dental field and helping to transform patients lives and giving them confidence in their smiles. She wants to expand her knowledge, understanding and skills to become a dental hygienist in the future, focusing on providing excellent patient service and ensuring patient loyality.
Yessi also has experience as a cosmetologist and is a certified skilled nursing assistant. She grew up locally and loves to workout, go to the beach, hike and travel, but most importantly make lots of family memories.
Brendas passion for the dental field started in early in her high-school years. Brenda has been with Newbury Dental Groups for over the last two years and it has been absolute pleasure. She has become a great asset to the staff and patients. Brenda has taken embraced the role of our main assistant in the office and is responsible for keeping office running smoothly and efficiently. When Brenda is not working, she is taking college classes and planning on furthering her experience and education to becoming a Dental Hygienist. Brenda likes spending time with her family and volunteering at her church on her free time. We will miss her when the time comes for her to start dental hygiene school.

I chose this place because of Good reviews and a friend of mine recommending it. I had two root canals that were bad after 20 years old and decided to replace them with two implants. Super clean, place highly skilled dentists

I wrote my last evaluation of Newbury Dental Group over two years ago and my opinion of these two Outstanding Doctors has not changed. In 58 years of going to the dentist each and every one always sent me out for any specialty work which often was problematic or took too long. I had a broken bridge and wanted something more permanent and desired an office that did it all without being sent out, I found that at Newbury Dental Group. This is the best work available that can be trusted not to have future problems. DR. Peyman Saghizadeh and Dr. Saman Saghizadeh (The Twins) are excellent in every way, explaining the procedure thoroughly, very thoughtful, caring and meticulous about their work ensuing that it is absolutely perfect, (They will not install crowns, posts etc. that do not meet their exacting standards). The office staff from the receptionist to each and every dental assistant is very caring and extremely helpful and polite. My last evaluation praised these two doctors and their staff for the superb 5 crowns on my bottom teeth all perfectly fit and matched. Not a single problem in the last two years. They have now completed 4 inserts to replace my broken bridge and I could not be happier. These inserts look so real and match my bottom crowns absolutely perfectly. I am now having them crown a couple more teeth to complete a perfect smile. I cannot thank Dr. Peyman and Dr. Saman enough for all the truly outstanding work that they have given me.

I cannot recommend these dentists enough! They saved my tooth from needing a root canal after wrongful diagnosis at my other dentist. I had gone to a specialist endodontist to help with my tooth pain. They diagnosed me with needing a root canal from my tooth decay. However, when I came to the twin brother dentists at Newbury, they had helped me with my tooth pain and helped me avoid my root canal which I am forever grateful for. Thank you for your advice and help! Highly recommend this practice!

Went here for the first time today. Great people you can tell they actually care, you're not rushed, they take the time to explain what they're doing and why. I'll be a lifelong customer if they stay like this.

Extremely friendly staff and willing to work with you. Went in with tooth aches and they were able to figure out I had a really bad infection after looking at some x-ray shots. Gave me options on what to do and went over pricing. Went with a tooth removal and he spent extra time properly cleaning out the infected area. After the procedure he proceeded to go over instructions to care for it and some tips and tricks to stop the bleeding. Also prescribed medication for pain and antibiotics for the infection. Gave me a few laughs on the way out as well. If you are looking for a dentist I definitely recommend this one! Never had such an amazing experience at a dentist before!

The new team of Dentists are smart, compassionate and very skilled. I am always fearful of pain when I go to the Dentist and here at Newbury Dental Group, the team does not believe in pain!!! They are very considerate of skittish patients. I recently had extensive dental work done there and felt a little soreness which is expected. But the procedure was basically pain-free!

I've spent more money here than I'd like to admit. Flossing quarterly for over two decades and I had to pay the piper. That being said, my experience with both beautiful ladies at the front, the dental hygienist and the doctors has been amazing. I had a dry socket on a weekend(google this it HURTS) and was not able to see my regular dentist as it was a Sunday. My wife made called dentists trying to get me emergency care. Dr Sam or Peyman answered their cell phone and talked my wife through things that would help alleviate the pain. Turns out salt water rinses are magic! Just a recap: they answer their cell phone and help people that are not even clients. The front desk and hygienist are awesome.

My mother, Irene Park has done 4 front teeth in porcelain caps and she's very happy with the result. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The doctor was very knowledgeable and has performed top notch work. Thank you very much Newbury Dental Group.

The dentist's are very knowledgeable, explained the procedure and answered my concerns. I was hesitant about getting a dental implant and to my surprise it was a short and painless procedure. Sam the office manager called the next day to see how I was feeling and answered all my billing questions. This is the best practice I've been to; everyone is kind and helpful. Highly recommend them!

I am one of those people who is scared to go to dentist. But this office is amazing, staff are all friendly and of course their main focus is patient care. If you need a proper dental treatment, cleaning or anything regarding your teeth highly recommend. I came to them with many dental problems and in less than a year I'm almost done with my treatments. Highly recommend. Also to the staff thank you so much for all you have done.

My husband was seen by Dr. Saghizadeh for tooth extraction. Everyone at the office was pleasant and professional. However it was Dr. Saghizadeh that was amazing. He explained everything to my husband before he proceeded and was extremely gentle in the extraction of the tooth. He appeared to have a very soft touch and my husband really appreciated this. I would recommend this group.

Probably should have written this a while back. Upon first call/contact, I knew this was the dental group for me. The staff is incredibly professional, friendly and share a passion for their patients dental health/needs. Jessica who handled my cleaning was thorough and straight forward (friendly of course) about some minor corrections I can take to protect my teeth. Dr. Sam is awesome as always. Down to earth, knowledgeable with throws in some friendly banter... although, I may have instigated the banter. And the Office Staff is down right wonderful. Sam does an amazing job dealing with scheduling and insurance. She truly knows how to run a tight ship! Think of changing dentists or looking for one?
