Communication error at front desk re. insurance for a multi-child appt. cost us surprise $$$$ in copays for 5 mins with the dr. Office mgr. showed no empathy, called us liars, & was aggressively unpleasant. Horrific experience. Stay away.

After not being at the dentist for 10 years, I decided to come Newark Dental Associates. I needed to get 3 fillings, xrays and a dental cleaning. I know my mouth was not in great condition but all of the staff; dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants, were very kind and gentle. They took their time explaining each step since I was so anxious. Even the front desk staff took time to explain my insurance and billing to me. I look forward to another great experience in 6 months!

Been going here since I was a kid, I am now 22, and stayed with them since! I'm always greeted with open arms and such friendliness. The staff is amazing, and I feel safe and secure being in the office. The hygienists and doctors are very thorough and detail oriented, and the office staff is always so kind! 100% recommend people come here! Treated like family every time I walk through the door!

Just had an appointment and the lady dentist saw me for an infection... I got an appointment within 2 days (they had appointments immediately since it was so painful, I couldn't make it). I was seen immediately after filling out the paperwork. The hygienist and Dr. both were super patient and explained everything and also were as gentle as possible and got me referrals and got me in and out.. Having an abscess was the most painful thing in the world and I'd highly recommend anyone to this office.

Long story short- They called me for almost a year threatening collections, saying I owed them money after they already had told me my insurance would cover my initial visit before I even went, but after my appointment said they don't run first visits through insurance. I told them to run it anyway and they did but had a total come back that my insurance "wouldn't cover." Which I already know my insurance would have covered it completely, minus my usual copay. When I called and refused to pay and told them to send it to collections, they called back and told me the charge was their mistake after all. They are preying on college kids, assuming their parents can pay cash for bogus charges. If I didn't call them out on it, they'd still be calling me asking for money. Do NOT recommend at all.

I am a new patient trying to get my teeth cleaning done today, made the appointment weeks ago, did everything I was asked to do, the woman who acted like a receptionist turned out to be the hygienist, very unprepared and unprofessional. she did not know where to get my x ray pictures from my previous dentist, after she finally figured it out where my x ray picture file is, she could not explain clearly why I had to do the x-ray again, I was so mad and walked out after she told me she could not do the dental cleaning today. what a waste of time to deal with these unprofessional people

Absolutely got scammed. We were initially told by the office that they are in network with our insurance, but we were hit with a huge bill. The office's explain was that they were in network with the company but out of network with our plan. I checked with the insurance company, the answer was they were lying because insurance company has confirmed that they are out of network period. They should have told us at the beginning that they are out of network instead of lying about this. Plus, whoever is handling this persistently claims no wrongdoings. We as patience should know about our insurance, but I strongly believe that as a dental office, it is also your responsibility to notify patience regarding in network and out of network status instead of giving misleading information and rip off patience. I told the office that all the dentists I have gone to, checked out insurance and let us know whether or not they are in network and but the office's response was that they don't care what other dental offices do, but they don't do it and this is their culture, absolutely ridiculous. I told my current dentist about this, he shaked his head...Patience please be aware this office.

The staff are so kind. I have always been able to make appointments quickly. I was treated for a cavity and felt absolutely nothing and was in and out within an hour. This is a wonderful place.

The most accommodating dentist office I have ever been too. The dentist does his best to describe what is happening and it was very helpful. Overall great experience with this office.
