Dr. Laura Randazzo Sabnani Dr. Laura Randazzo Sabnani graduated from Valley Stream Central High School and is so happy to be back to serve the area she grew up in. After High School she went on to complete a bachelors of science degree at St. Johns University. Dr. Laura continued on to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA where she received her D.M.D. degree in 2004, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Laura was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, an honor awarded to only the top 10% of the graduating class. Following dental school Dr. Laura completed an Advanced Degree in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut. While working in private practice in Massachusetts, Dr. Laura realized her passion for working with children. She returned to academia to complete a 2 year pediatric dentistry residency at the Lutheran Medical Center in Providence, RI where she served as chief resident. Following residency she worked as an attending supervising the pediatric dental residents and treating patients in the clinic and operating room setting.
Dr. Laura is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She is a diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Nassau County Dental Association.
Dr. Romey Sabnani Dr. Romey Sabnani grew up on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands which is the inspiration for the design of the office. Dr. Sabnanis genuine passion for orthodontics, his priority to stay at the forefront of his specialty, and his desire to provide the highest quality of care for all patients make him an exceptional orthodontist. Dr. Sabnani attended Roger Williams University for his undergraduate education where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. After receiving his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) as a double major in Biology and Chemistry from Roger Williams, Dr. Romey continued his studies at the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree he continued his studies at the University of Connecticut Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. Dr. Sabnani returned to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to complete his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. At Tufts, his research interests were in tooth agenesis and its prevalence in different ethnicities and malocclusions.
Dr. Sabnani practiced in Rhode Island and Massachusetts before moving to Long Island. Dr. Sabnani is an active member of the American Dental Association, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, and American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Romey Sabnani and Dr. Laura Randazzo Sabnani met in Dental School and were married shortly after. Their dream of having an office of their own has become a reality with the opening of New Wave Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. They have three young boys, Jace, Bryce and Vince. They enjoy showing them all the fun things Long Island has to offer.
Dr. Elizabeth Scisci Dr. Elizabeth Scisci, or Dr. Liz as she is known by her patients is a pediatric dentist and a Nassau County native. After growing up in Farmingdale, NY she went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. She then completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery and PhD in Oral Biology and Pathology in a combined degree program at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. While conducting research, she was awarded a 5-year fellowship from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
Dr. Lizs passion for cavity prevention and instilling the values of dental and oral health in her patients from the earliest age possible drove her to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry. She completed a 2-year residency at the University of Pennsylvania and Childrens Hospital of PhiIadelphia, earning her specialty certificate. Dr. Liz strives to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible during dental visits. She understands that childhood is the perfect time to provide positive experiences at the dental office so that her patients can develop a lifelong love of the dentist.

We love the orthodontic work that our son receives at New Wave. The office is conveniently located with plenty of parking and a very cozy waiting area! We would highly recommend New Wave for all pediatric dental and orthodontic needs

5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD! I loved this place so much I wished they saw adults. It was my first time taking my son to this location as we went off of a referral from my friend. The front desk Muriel is the right person to have up front she welcomed us with a smile and she was pleasant and also patient with me having to fill out all of new patient forms. Joanne the the hygienist and Megan her assistant worked very well with my son. They explained everything to both him and I as they were doing it. My son was very comfortable and not once complained of pain as they were working on him. Dr.Laura was his dentist and she was good, patient and helpful in letting me know the future expectancies of my sons teeth . Thank you everyone at New Wave that helped my sons trip to the dentist become a pleasant one.

Both of my children have been seeing Dr.Laura and Dr.Romey for years now. My son had a bad experience when he was younger and always was fearful to go to the dentist even for a cleaning. When he started his braces with Dr. Romey, he needed a few teeth taken out because he had so much crowding. I thought I was going to have to hold him down, but Dr.Laura was like a ninja he said. They were out before he knew it! He even went back to school after the procedure. I can't wait to show off his before and after pictures when Dr. Romey takes his braces off. My daughter also had her braces with Dr. Romey and she is more confident and smiles more. She was just in to see Dr. Liz for her 6 month check up and she loved her as well. Thank you for treating my kids so well and caring. We love New Wave!

I called to ask about insurance information, receptionist was so rude on the phone. I wasn't finished with my conversation and she was quick to hang up. :/ heard wonderful reviews about this place but first impressions matter. I have two kids and willing to pay out of pocket expense just to give my kids a great dentist. I will look elsewhere.

Two years later, my son's braces came off today... his teeth are simply gorgeous!!!Thank you Dr. Romey. My son feels so proud. It has been a positive experience every step of the way. The office staff is always friendly, Mike is the BEST Office Manager, the dental staff is helpful, and Dr. Romey is a unique orthodontist whose work is top-notch! Previous review: It was our son's first time ... it was such a warm and inviting office. Every employee is friendly. They made us and especially our son comfortable. This obviously begins with the orthodontist who is like them.

She is clear and specific and let's me know about alternatives when they are available. They don't accept my insurance and I'd rather see her than a dentist who will cost less because she is so professional and caring. Office is always clean and precautions are regularly taken and I was happy to see (post-COVID) that they were following all guidelines and more. Highly recommend New Wave Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Laura made our visit today a great experience! My son needed 4 teeth extracted! Laura was informative, patient and swift. The staff took the time to make sure he was comfortable. I appreciate Dr. Laura reviewing the procedure with me and putting me at ease as well. My son says he didn't feel anything and hasn't complained of any discomfort. The whole process was much faster than I expected. I completely recommend this office. Looking forward to meeting with Dr. Romie when my son's adult teeth grow in!!

Very friendly staff. Took my two girls there for their first ever trip to the dentist. My girls are very shy and scared of new experiences. I had been hyping up their trip to the dentist all week, telling them how much fun it would be , but inside I wasn't sure. I went to New wave after a friend recommended it. Once we had gotten there, I took note of just how pleasant the staff was. It was genuine, not in a fake kind of way like they were forced to be but they seemed like genuinely pleasant people. Facility was so clean with kid friendly murals on the walls. My girls watched frozen on a ceiling television while getting their teeth cleaned. In the end they received gifts and prizes. Staff even painted my girls' nails! My kids left smiling and loving their first dentist visit. I have new wave to thank for that.
