New Smiles in Sherwood, OR has a highly qualified and experienced dental team. Our dental team consists of Dr. Nathan Doyel, Dr. Ben Aanderud and Dr. Whisenant. At our practice, our goal is to provide the best dental treatment for our patients.

Dr. Evan Whisenant is a general dentist and grew up in Beaverton, Oregon. He completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University during which time he took 2 years off to complete missionary service in Orlando, FL working primarily with the Haitian creole speaking community. After college he completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at Roseman University in South Jordan, UT. He enjoys working on cars, skiing with his wife, and has a growing collection of sneakers. His Wife Renee recently began attending Dental Hygiene school.

Our entire team at New Smiles is not only courteous, friendly, and professional, but very personable too! Youll know from the minute you walk in the door that their mission is to provide you with the most positive and comfortable experience possible.

We feel fortunate and excited to have Rebecca be part of the New Smiles Team. She is detail oriented and will greet you with warmth and friendliness each time you visit us. Rebecca is married to the love of her life and is a busy mom of 6 children. She enjoys meeting new people and helping people with disabilities. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors, playing and watching sports and listening to all types of music.

Ursula is Dr. Aanderuds treatment coordinator and has been with New Smiles for many years. She will treat you with care and compassion while helping you with your treatment needs. Ursula enjoys cooking, running and spending time with friends and family.

Melissa is Dr. Doyel's treatment coordinator and strives to serve his patients with empathy and thoroughness. She has many years of dental experience and will thoughtfully guide you in making complex dental decisions. She and her husband live in Sherwood and enjoy spending time with their two sons.

Lori is an Oregon native and has been in the medical field since 2003. She started as a CNA and worked in a cosmetic surgery center. She loves assisting and helping patients prepare for surgery and recovery. She also loves spending time with her family including her 2 wonderful kids. Lori enjoys traveling and being in the outdoors hiking, paddle boarding and boating. Her kind heart and professionalism are a great asset to the New Smiles team as Dr. Whisenants treatment coordinator.

Shanon enjoys working with our patients here at New Smiles. She started working in the dental field at age 18 and loves how dentistry is constantly changing and improving. She and her husband moved here from Reno to be near their son who plays football for OSU. Their other son serves us proudly in the Army. Shanon loves the coast, the rain, fishing and camping and spending what ever times she can with her man and her boys.

Karie is one of our outstanding hygienists. New Smiles has enjoyed Karies cheerful smile since 2006. You will appreciate her gentle touch and expert dental skills. Along with being a voracious reader, she and her husband take pleasure in their two daughters and exploring the beautiful Oregon outdoors

Julie is one of our outstanding hygienists and has been providing excellent care to our patients since 2002. She and her husband have lived in Sherwood for years and feel blessed to have raised their two daughters in such a wonderful community. Julie really enjoys running to stay fit, connecting with friends, and spending time with her two cute puppies and of course, her grandchildren which she treasures.

Cami is one of our outstanding hygienists. Cami has been with us since 2006 and has been providing caring, gentle and individualized care to each one of her patients. She is also a wonderful mother to a beautiful daughter. In her free time she enjoys hiking, paddle-boarding, gardening, yoga & cooking.

Barb is one of our outstanding Hygienists providing compassionate and gentle care at New Smiles since 2012. She attended Mt Hood Community College Dental Hygiene Program and was born and raised in this beautiful state. She enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and two wonderful boys.

Jasmine graduated from Pacific Universitys Dental Health Science Program and has been a Dental Hygienist since 2009. Jasmine and her husband feel blessed to have two wonderful and amazing kids. They love quality family time and creating memorable experiences.

Some of their favorite things to do include fishing, crabbing, swimming and going to the coast. Jasmine loves her profession and her patients and has a positive outlook in life. She loves helping others have a healthy, beautiful smile. As an added bonus, Jasmine is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Laurie is one of our outstanding Dental Hygienists. She started with us back in 2004 as our Practice Administrator and Dental Hygienist. She took some time away to raise her son and also taught at Pacific University as a Clinical Dental Hygiene Instructor for 7 years. Laurie enjoys spending time with her son Kellen and enjoys outdoor activities including running, cycling, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, camping, and traveling.

Shelley assists Dr. Aanderud. From the beginning, Shelley has been with New Smiles and is a beloved member of the family. She will treat you with the care and kindness that will make you feel comfortable and like one of the family. She and her husband love being outdoors with their family and puppy and enjoy being parents to two adorable, active children. She is a wonderful part of the team.

Jen is one of Dr. Doyels assistants. She really enjoys getting to know the patients in the office and becoming friends. 'I really want them to have a comfortable enjoyable time while they are with us. I 'm not the biggest fan of being a patient in the dental chair and feel very empathetic and try and give the best patient care possible. Jen loves seeing how dentistry has changed over the years and how technology has made dentistry better.

She loves to be challenged and to continue learning. Jen has been an assistant for over 20 years and loves living and working in Sherwood. She is married with two kids & a yellow lab. As a family they enjoy traveling, being in the outdoors, rooting on their favorite teams, and spending time with extended family

Jacie is an Oregon native and actually grew up in Sherwood. She is one of Dr. Whisenants fabulous assistants. She loves meeting new people, learning new things and is always helping others out. In her free time, you'll find Jacie enjoying the outdoors, hiking and kayaking with her family and friends.
