Dr. Jeremy Derksen, owner of New Prague Dental Center, grew up in a small town in Chugiak, Alaska and enjoyed regular trips to his father's dental practice in Anchorage, Alaska. Dr. Derksen graduated from the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry where he then enlisted in the United States Air Force to provide dental care for the men and women in uniform who serve our great country. During this time, Dr. Derksen worked in a large dental hospital and had the opportunity to gain additional training in oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, and prosthodontics. It was in this hospital where he was blessed with his first set of twins. A few years later upon moving to Minnesota his second set of twins made their appearance into this world.

He has truly enjoyed practicing at New Prague Dental Center the past few years and meeting all the patients of New Prague and surrounding areas. His treatment philosophy is to treat all patients like they were his own family. In his free time, Dr. Derksen loves to spend time with his kids and can't wait to take them all fishing for monster salmon and halibut in Alaska. In the meantime, an occasional crappie and sunfish will have to suffice.

Dr. Derksen continues to improve his skills through continuing education courses and is thrilled to begin offering Invisalign orthodontic treatment to his patients. He volunteers for Give Kids A Smile and one of his goals is to survive two sets of twins while continuing to provide the best possible care he can to all of his patients. He is extremely grateful for and enjoys working with his talented staff at New Prague Dental Center and knows their teamwork and positive attitudes will make every patient's dental visit that much better. She has practiced dentistry for almost 20 years and grew up in Owatonna, MN. Dr. Huffer has pursued continuing dental education in many aspects of general dentistry and strives to treat the entire family with quality and care. She believes that working as a dental team is crucial to dental and overall health.

Emily has over 30 years experience in patient care and monitoring periodontal disease. Better oral health can lead to better overall health. For example, there is an association between periodontitis and heart disease. Helping patients become healthier is a very rewarding part of my job. Emily especially likes to visit with patients of all ages and walks of life.

Emily graduated with honors from the University of MN and is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, the Minnesota Dental Hygienists Association and the Midwest Study Club. She lives on a farm near her hometown of Jordan with her husband Paul and their son, Scott. Em enjoys remodeling projects, being outdoors, and spending time with her large extended family and her friends.

Amy treats her patients with respect, compassion and the highest quality of care. She makes the anxious patient feel relaxed, calm and puts them at ease. Questions are welcomed and she does her best to explain procedures so her patients can make educated decisions concerning their oral health. She takes pride in educating herself and keeping up with the latest research and technology through continuing education. Amy is passionate about her patients and treats everyone as if they were family. Amy grew up in Alaska and moved south to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota-Duluth graduating with a Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1993. Amy has 2 very active boys (young men). The oldest being a United States Marine. Amy spends her free time watching her youngest son play Lacrosse, spending time in her yard and being with those she loves.

Katie joined New Prague Dental Center in 2017 and has nearly 20 years experience as a dental hygienist.She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. Katie treats her patients with respect in a professional manner.Katie lives in New Prague with her husband Brad and their 4 boys. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family and watching her boys play football, basketball and baseball.

Tess is passionate about dentistry and enjoys educating and helping patients make informed decisions about their dental needs & desires. She has over 35 years of experience in dentistry starting with the very youngest pediatric patients to the periodontally compromised patients. Tess loves working in a multigenerational practice where patients are treated like family. Tess looks forward to making a new family of patients in the years to come. Outside of work Tess loves being with her family and especially her grand babies. Biking and enjoying life is what it is all about.

Tina has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1989 and joined the team at New Prague Dental Center in 2000. Tina divides her time between chairside assisting and the frontdesk. Tina enjoys visiting with the patients and greatly contributes to the office.
