I completed my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Temple University in 1999, where I learned traditional dentistry techniques. I finished my hospital-based general practice residency at the Virtua Health System in New Jersey in 2000.
While taking a two-day course entitled Air Abrasive MicroDentistry, my approach to dentistry completely changed. I then began diagnosing and treating dental disease and opened my first solo microdentistry practice, New Paradigm Dentistry, in 2001.
Dr. Burden has over 2,000 hours of continuing education and focuses each year on learning more in the fields of microscope-enhanced dentistry, Invisalign, orthodontics, implants, cosmetics, non-surgical periodontal therapy, and numerous minimally invasive dental procedures. His passion for minimally invasive dentistry takes him on the road throughout the year to train other dentists all around the country.
Dr. Burden has been the leading micro-dentist for Millstone, NJ, area patients for 20 years. He lives by the advice of his mentor who said, Do it right the first time and don't use cheap materials or instruments!
Dr. Burden proved his dedication to dentistry and lifelong learning by completing at least 2,000 hours of approved continuing education in various disciplines and passing a meticulous examination with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD)Opens a new window to the AGD website.
Dr. Burden has been the leading micro-dentist for Central Jersey area patients for more than 20 years and continues to show his love and support for his community by supporting PTO events, school outreach programs and activities, youth sports teams, and more.

I'm so grateful for having found Dr. Burden and his team. Previous experiences with former dentists had left me a bit 'anxious ' about dentists but here at Paradigm Dentistry I found a professional, caring, knowledgeable, superb, awesome team who truly cares about those that walk in not only as patients but also as humans. I look forward to the smiles. Their modern-up to date equipment also puts my mind at ease as well as, but most importantly, their philosophy of not doing or rushing to perform dental work that may be unnecessary. In one word -Awesomeness!

Dr. Burden and his team at New Paradigm Dentistry are amazing. Thanks to MariBeth, appointments and paperwork are managed quickly and efficiently. Tricia is a phenomenal dental hygienist who is as knowledgeable as she is nice. And, Dr. Burden is a top notch dentist who has clearly invested time and money into making his practice the best it can be. So glad to have Dr. Burden as our neighborhood dentist.

The receptionist was helpful in getting my records from my previous dentist as this was a first visit. The hygienist was friendly and very through in cleaning my teeth. Dr. Burden seemed very knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry and made me feel welcomed. The office had up-to-date equipment.

It took me nearly 50 years to find a great Dentist. This is a great practice. They know what they are doing, professional every step of the way and they are not looking to sell you and bill your insurance company. They care for the people that work in the door. I don't write many reviews, these guys earned it
