Dr. Schulz graduated from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry and has been practicing dentistry since 1986. With an emphasis on comprehensive care that honors the connection between oral health, the bodys overall health, and a persons well- being, he provides dental care that enhances his patients quality of life. He and his team are focused on preventative care for lifelong good oral health and helping people have the smile of their dreams through restorative dentistry.

In regards to his extensive dental training, he spent fifteen years in a study club that was run by a well-known prosthodontist. This program covered the prosthodontic program from the USAF prosthodontic residency, Wilford Hall, at Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio. Additionally, Dr. Schulz has been a member of several study clubs including Spear Study Club courses and was in the Seattle Study Club for thirteen years.

He is the president of the Academy of Operative Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Southeastern Colorado Dental Society, Academy of Operative Dentistry, International Academy of Gnathology, and the very selective Academy of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Schulzs publications include an article entitled Modern application of the Skinner vertical movement stress breaker for distal extension removable partial dental prostheses in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Schulz has studied and mentored under many dental professionals around the world and is part of a greater dental community, both nationally and internationally. He has a broad base of individuals in his career field to collaborate and exchange ideas with, which translates to better patient care.

When he is not caring for patients or pursuing continuing education to better serve his patients, you will find Dr. Schulz playing music. A lifelong musician, he has played in several bands, taught guitar lessons, and been part of a trio for over 30 years. He taught guitar lessons from his sophomore year in high school through his graduation from dental school. He enjoys going to Bluegrass Festivals and playing everything from guitars to the mandolin and banjos.

His work in the community includes participating as a dental provider for the Colorado Mission of Mercy, as a group leader in his church group, and as a youth soccer coach. His hobbies outside of music include a grand passion for hockey and a love of being outdoors with activities including skiing, hiking, and cycling. He and his family also love to travel.
