Dr. Patel grew up in North Attleboro Massachusetts where he graduated from high school in the top 10% of his class in 1995. He attended and graduated from Tufts University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1999. Dr. Patel has always been passionate about oral cancer and was a research associate at Harvard University studying oral cancer while publishing several research papers in prestigious scientific journals. In 2006 Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Connecticut School Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
After dental school, Dr. Patel completed his residency program at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY where he obtained extensive experience in all aspects of modern dental care which includes placing/restoring dental implants, third molar extractions, molar root canals, and cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) and the Middlesex County Dental Society.
Continuing his ideal of excellence in dentistry, Dr. Patel persists with continuing education courses on implants, root canals, and cosmetic dentistry. He is active in the community volunteering for both CTMOM (Connecticut Mission of Mercy) and Give Kids a Smile day where he provides free dental care to the underserved people of Connecticut. He is also a board member of the Hispanic Alliance, which provides scholarships, loans and mentorship to the Hispanic community of south east Connecticut. When he is not working, Dr. Patel likes to spend time with his family, travel, read, play basketball and has recently taken up golf.

Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. They are alll about the patient and their needs. Maria did a perfect cleaning and was so nice. Dr Choah (sp?) was so personable and friendly. Just love it there.

Staff were all friendly and didn't keep me waiting, either to get called or once I was in the chair. The prices are good, especially since I don't have insurance that covers dental visits, and although there's still signage up nobody asked me to put on a mask, which I always appreciate.

Doctors are OK, front office staff is garbage. I scheduled an emergrency appointment for 5 days away. Showed up and they said they cancelled me. Was going there for about 3 years and never canceled or missed an appointment once. Told my friends and family that I previously recommended to go there to find a new dental office. Lost about 5 clients over it

Dr H. was extremely efficient, kind and gentle. She filled my two cavities in less than 45 minutes and explained everything so that I understood what she was doing. I highly recommend her :)

First time taking my 3 year old to this Dentist office and I was pleased especially after in the previous Dentist office a new policy where parents are prohibited from accompanying their children during their appointment (being Gales Ferry Pediatric Dentistry). This place allowed me to sit by my child being their advocate and support and they answered questions, were very good with my child, and place is clean and huge. Overall for first visit giving it 5 stars.

The dental hygienist (I didn't catch her name) was so sweet and patient with my daughter who is 3 & mildly autistic. She showed her each tool and explained what she was doing the whole time. I was prepared to have to tie her down but that didn't happen at all. This amazing temperament carried over with Dr.Ahn! She had a small cavity that they filled today and again I was nervous but Dr.Ahn truly followed her lead. Talked to her with each step and tool used. If she pulled away from one thing he found a way around not using it. I was really impressed and so appreciative.

Everyone, from the front desk staff, to the hygienist, to the dentist, was wonderful. They were kind and explained everything that needed to be done so I was fully informed. They even managed to make time for me to get a cavity filled only minutes after my cleaning! I'm happy to have found a dentist where I feel comfortable and well cared-for by the entire staff. And, I can't not mention how obsessed I was with Dr. Lindawatti's trick for painless injections lol. The thought of feeling pain in my mouth fills me with dread, and not only did her trick keep things pain-free, but it was also fascinating :D

My man, Dr Kwon is the best his hospitality and interaction with me as patient is amazing. Chris is the hygienist who is well experienced and funny to talk to. Front-desk was also very welcoming and easy to work with. My overall experience was great and will highly recommend.

After having the same dentist & dental insurance in Massachusetts for 17 years, I moved to Connecticut late last year. Massachusetts told me my Delta Dental Care plan was only valid in Mass., & I needed to get Connecticut dental coverage. I got signed up for Husky-D & was referred to New London Dental Care. I went in yesterday for my first appointment, they took my former dentist's reports & took new X-Rays. They had me come back this morning for a filling replacement. I found them to be very professional, & very friendly. They'll be my new dentist from now on ! Update : Today, Jan. 10, 2018, I had a cleaning appointment. They took me in early & did a great job. :)
