Dr. Amy Thompson officially opened New Life Dental Arts in November, 2007, after working as an associate dentist for the previous 3 years in Snohomish. She is one of the top ten graduates of the University Of Washington School Of Dentistry for the class of 2004, which was the number one rated dental school in the nation for that year. She strives to maintain and uphold the highest level of excellence in her work as a dentist, and believes that patient satisfaction is the most important part of her job.

Dr. Amy received numerous awards and scholarships in dental school, including the Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics, Fixed Prosthodontics Award, Prosthodontics Honors Program, Eleanor Bushee Senior Dental Student Award, Teledyne Water Pik Best of the Best Award and the John D. Guthrie Memorial Scholarship, which honored the top restorative dentist for the class of 2004. She also served as a class officer each year and was involved in numerous extra-curricular activities including Husky Smiles, a non-profit program started by UW dental students which targeted low-income families and provided free dental exams for children. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Snohomish County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Amy also participates in the Spear Study Club and the Spencer Founders Study Club, both of which are an extensive, world renowned continuing education programs that focus on excellence in dental techniques, technology, cosmetic dental treatments, sleep apnea and TMJ disorders.

A life-long native of Snohomish County, she was born and raised in the Clearview area of Snohomish, Washington and graduated from Monroe High School in 1996. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, and a Minor in Music.

It was in high school that she first became interested in dentistry, and after graduating, started working for a local orthodontist as an assistant and lab technician. Her career as a dentist was solidified as she realized how much she enjoyed working with and serving people in a profession that allows you to be very creative and artistic, as well as technical. She has lived in Snohomish County with her husband, Kevin, since they were married in September, 2000. Kevin is the senior pastor of their church, Revelation Church, a non-denominational Christian church. They had their first boy, Jude, in September of 2011, and their second, Tate, in July of 2015, of which Dr. Amy loves spending all of her free time with!

Chelsey started out at NLDA as a patient in 2009 when she was in dental assisting school, and then she began working here in 2016. Her co-workers say she is incredibly helpful for both them and our patients, and her caring, kind personality brightens everyones day. In her spare time, Chelsey likes going on adventures with her family, camping, fishing, and hiking.

New patient. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the positive energy. Everyone has great personalities. Had my first teeth cleaning done by Breana and it was, by far, the best teeth cleaning, I have ever had in my 60 plus years. Glad I switched to Dr. Amy's office. Highly recommend. Don

This dental office has always gone above and beyond! I still recall when my oldest (now 4yo) was a year old and one of the staff members flew him around like a super hero to keep him entertained so that I could get my teeth cleaned. This dental office has always been there to support me in my dental health to the best of their ability...even when it looks a little different.

Dr. Amy and her staff are very friendly and gentle. My three young kids love going to the dentist here as well. My 5 year old even gets disappointed when it isn't her turn to get her teeth cleaned. Dr. Amy is a dentist you can trust.

Dr. Thompson and her team are wonderful. The treatment plan proposed has completely stopped my snoring. I have more energy, sleep more soundly, and do not wake up at night nearly as often. My wife is ecstatic! I absolutely recommend her office!

New Life Dental Arts is the best place for exceptional dental care! Dr. Amy is tip top! I believe Dr Amy and Megan have virtually added many years to my life. Before seeing Dr. Amy and Megan at the new life dental arts for my sleep dysfunction I was waking up frequently with headaches very tired all the time. I couldn't remember very well and my energy level was very low. My wife was always complaining about my loud snoring and sleep apnea and she was also having difficulty sleeping as a result. Since I have seen Dr. Amy at new life dental arts/Northwest elite sleep my life has changed dramatically. My wife now gets better rest and better sleep because I no longer snore and stop breathing at night. I no longer have headaches when I wake up my energy level is higher I wake up easier in the morning and I think more clearly. I am so grateful to Dr. Amy and Megan for all they have done for me and my wife and give them the highest recommendation . words could not describe how excellent they are.!!

I love, love, love going to Dr. Amy and team (shoutout to Nancy)! She has been a joy to work with from day 1 and the culture of the office is amazing. It's apparent that they not only care about their patients' teeth, but also about their holistic health and well-being. Every procedure I have there is fully explained to me, and I'm always at ease. :) Thanks, all, for being the best dental office around!

I went to Dr Amy's office today with a tooth ache, and another tooth broken.I knew I was in for just a quick look, and told them I could only pay $100 today, if it exceeed that I would pay remainder next week.Dr Amy was kind, and did not want to charge an exam fee and I really appreciate that so I did not see her.The only thing that made me sad, is it always seem to be about money, A nice warm hi would have been really nice, just to stick her head in and acknowledge me, she did not need to sit in her chair or anything like that as I know her time is valuable. I just really think a hello should be free!

I tried traditional sleep therapy, it was inconvenient. The equipment was bulky and awkward. The appliance is easy to maintain, and takes up the a space the size of a small coffee cup. This was the best decision I made about sleep therapy-I dream now and sleep soundly. Thank you Dr. Amy!!
