Dr. Jay Cho is a native to the New Hyde Park community, having attended Denton Elementary School, Herricks Middle School and then graduating from Herricks High School. Dr. Cho received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Colgate University and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While at dental school, Dr. Cho served as president of the Orthodontic Society and earned multiple awards and honors, including induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society and the Matthew Cryer Honor Society, limited to the top 10 students in each class as determined by the general order of merit. Dr. Cho continued his post doctorate dental education with an additional three-year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. In conjunction with his residency, Dr. Cho served as president of his residency class and earned a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Cho is the Clinical Associate Professor; Department of Pediatric Medicine at North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Presently, he serves as Treasurer of The Columbia University Orthodontic Alumni Association and sits on Nassau County Dental Society's Board of Directors. Dr. Cho is the Clinical Associate Professor; Department of Pediatric Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and the Teaching Assistant for orthodontic pre-clinic and dental laboratory skills at Columbia University. Additionally, Dr. Cho's active membership in several professional organizations helps ensure that he is always knowledgeable and up to date with the latest developments in orthodontics and dentistry. These organizations include: the American Association of Orthodontists, The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Nassau County Dental Society, the Long Island Seattle Study Club, and the Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University. Away from the office, Dr. Cho enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid golfer and is also equally passionate about tennis and running. Also a zealous sports fan. Dr. Cho is very excited to serve his home town of New Hyde Park and the surrounding communities. I think Dr Cho and Staff are wonderful and caring, everyone is always so kind. Dr. Cho is truly one of the nicest Doctors we have ever been to. He takes such Wonderful care of his patients. He always makes us happy that we come here.
I felt during my visit , that this was the best choice. The beautiful atmosphere and the warm staff beats all the offices i visited during this process. Dr. Cho explains the process so mother's can understand. I know my son is in great hands.
Dr. Cho is a 'Wonderman Doctor'. He makes sure that he makes the patients in his care feel comfortable. He also takes the time to explain the process to the parents making sure they understand every step. The Staff is Awesome. They are the most friendliest staff i have ever encountered in an office .THEY ROCK!
Dr. Cho is Friendly. He is always smiling and happy while being professional. He made me feel comfortable and offered various methods and options for straightening my teeth Being a patient has been a wonderful experience thanks to Dr. Cho and his team. I love my smile even more :)
The team is very accomodating and friendly and very helpful with all our needs. They also helped with my insurance and are easy to reach . I think he is the best orthodontist and will continue to refer my friends and family.
I Love the office it is very bright, upbeat, modern and cheery! I liked the layout and design of the office. I also liked that they use state of the art equipment. The staff is very friendly, cheerful, outgoing and always available to answer your questions. They could teach a few things to other nurses and office staff in the field. Im glad i found this place, as you never know what your going to get when you pick a name out of a book. Boy, was I lucky!
The new office is truly beautiful and so modern. Definitely spacious and VERY clean. After interviewing other Orthodontist, I found Dr. Cho to be the most thorough. He is very kind and has truly made a difference for angelo so far.

I have been with Dr. Cho and the team for almost 5 years now (due to Covid and other delays) but honestly you can't find a more supportive and flexible dental team. They accommodate my hectic work schedule and stays in contact with me. So quick and easy to communicate with. Have been such a great journey. P.S. I even made a friend- Harleen. Super sweet and caring towards patients.Great for recommendations and great to have a conversation with if you're not in a hurry.

The assistant Laura or Lauren was exceptional. knowing that visiting a dentist or Orthodontist can be daunting experience for a child . She made us feel extremely comfortable and included. She had the cheeriest disposition that made us seem as if we have been coming there for years and not our first visit. She was knowledgeable and took her time to explain every portion of Documentation answered all the questions and gave us alternative options. She went above and beyond her duties to make sure that our needs Were met . The orthodontist was just as knowledgeable and cheerful and bubbly he made sure Kyle felt less nervous about any decision that was going to be made. He explained the reasons why The teeth needed to be corrected. In addition he showed us tangible evidence of why we need to get The position and spacing of his teeth corrected. The overall experience was extremely exceptional experience. Not once did we ever felt pressured to obtain any of the services or buy any of the products that was being offered. This was the biggest selling point for me I was sold the moment I did not feel that I was not pressured to buy something. I would recommend this orthodontist office to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.

I absolutely love this office! Dr. Cho and his staff always create a warm, family friendly environment which makes every visit very pleasant! We are a three-peat family - and I highly recommend to any family. They have flexible hours; I never have an issue with appointments (even the ones after work!) They were always accommodating when I had an emergent need and had to schedule a same day appointment. They are socially responsible (check out their IG page) and just all around great, down to earth people. Please take the time to visit them when shopping around for the right orthodontist for your children.

I can't express my appreciation for this amazing team! Dr. Jay Cho, Ann Marie & the entire crew are all just absolutely wonderful at what they do! My dentist recommended Dr. Cho & his team for a pretty bad open bite that I have. I came out today with my new set of aligners and I couldn't be happier nor more excited! The entire process from the start has been SO simple and SO delightful. Every time I come here I feel like I'm going to Disney World. Never seen a more professional office while at the same time being so friendly & nice! Don't even think of going anywhere else, THIS is the place!

Amazing staff and office hands down! I'm so glad I came here to start my Invisalign treatment. The staff make you feel so comfortable and welcome. They truly are great at what they do! Dr. Cho is a great orthodontist, he is very sweet & knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease with the process. So glad I'm doing my treatment with them.

This is a superbly run office with incredibly friendly staff. You can tell from the moment you walk in that everyone works cohesively. There is never a long wait, everything is explained thoroughly, and the office environment is very welcoming. Dr. Cho is incredible; he listens attentively to all your concerns and offers reassurance throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this office for all your orthodontic needs.

New Hyde Park Orthodontics team is simply AMAZING! Every single person that works there is knowledgeable and incredibly sweet. It is clear that they enjoy their job. From start to finish, I was given fantastic care from the entire dental team. Everything was explained during each process. I highly recommend Dr. Cho and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Cho and his team are amazing! Dr. Cho has perfected my smile twice, he has alway been so patient, and understanding. Him and his girls have always made me feel comfortable, and welcomed. I started going there when I was 12 for braces, and chose not to wear a retainer, years later I went back for Invisalign to straighten my teeth once again. I wouldn't have thought twice about going anywhere else. They are the best!

Dr. Cho's practice is one of the most efficient practices I have ever experienced. Not only is he knowledgeable, his staff is also. The protocols that NHP Orthodontics has implemented since the pandemic is very impressive. It shows that they are taking all the necessary precautions to keep the staff and patients safe with adhering to all the rules and regulations. This is very reassuring that like every detail to this practice Dr. Cho has taken the time to have everything well thought out and executed. Knowing that The smiles of my two children are in the hands of the excellent staff and a great doctor is priceless!

When I tell you I could go on and on about Dr. Cho and his staff, I could go on and on! Not only is the office beautiful, updated, and clean, the staff and Dr. Cho are something to be raved about. Before coming to Dr. Cho, I was told by both an orthodontist and a dentist that I was not a candidate for Invisalign. So, coming to Dr. Cho, I didn't have my hopes up. Walking into the initial consultation, they had a cute little sign with my name on it in the room, making it feel so personal. (It's the little things). After my consultation, Dr. Cho said I was the perfect candidate for Invisalign...totally the opposite of what I've heard. I put my trust in him and his team and they didn't disappoint. I wasn't an easy case..I had so much spacing, an open bite, and an over bite. He said it would take about 2 years, maybe longer. The pandemic pushed time back a little because they were closed for a bit. So taking that into account, I finished in about a year and a half. Not only is this review about how amazing Dr. Cho is but it's about how amazing his staff is. They are all so incredibly sweet! They have the warmest personalities and you always leave with such a good feeling. I'm not one to make last minute changes, especially doctors appointments. However, I am a new nurse and didn't know my schedule at the time I made the appointment. I ended up having to work on that day and found out super last minute. I called and asked to reschedule but they were all booked so I was going to go a couple weeks later. They called me back and fit me in during their lunch or right around their lunch (I can't remember). They didn't have to do that..they could have made me wait as it was completely due to my schedule. But they didn't, they squeezed me in. They are amazing! I never smiled in pictures. When I took graduation pictures the photographer said, "smile with your teeth!" And I just ignored it and pretended I didn't hear it because I HATED my smile. When I would laugh, I would put my hand over my mouth to block people from seeing my teeth. Now, I smile with my teeth in pictures and laugh without my hand over my mouth. Dr. Cho has restored my confidence and I will be forever grateful for him and his team. I referred my best friend to Dr. Cho and will forever tell anyone who wants to listen to come here too! Thank you all!

I just completed my 2 year relationship with Dr. Cho and his beautiful staff. Not only is Dr. Cho an outstanding orthodontist his staff is just as wonderful as he is. His staff was extremely understanding when I needed to reschedule my appointment and never gave me an issue. They were patient with me due to the fact I was extremely nervous in the beginning of my process. If anyone ever asked about an orthodontist I wouldn't hesitate to provide Dr. Cho number. He will always be my first thought!! I can't express how much I enjoyed my experience, I'm going to miss them
