Whitney is responsible for welcoming patients to the practice and working together with the team and doctors to provide the best dental care possible. I am surrounded by an amazing group of professionals that are patient focused and dedicated!

Dr. Guy Gross says the best part of every day is when he gets to help patients restore their smiles and their health by replacing and rebuilding teeth. I spend most of my time placing dental implants and doing cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, and I love what I do! he says. I get to work directly with patients and my team members to solve problems in an environment where I can be responsible for the way patients are cared for and served.

Dr. Gross founded the New Horizons group of dental practices with his wife, Kathryn Gross (Kate), also a dentist. We have a consistently amazing group of people to work with and a great culture of service, teamwork, and excellence.

Dr. Gross grew up in Bennington, KS, and currently resides in Salina. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Kansas State, then attended UMKC School of Dentistry for his Doctorate degree. He says the dental profession has been an ideal fit for his interests and talent. 'Dentistry is a wonderful hands-on health profession where I can diagnose, solve problems, and deliver solutions for my patients. Its an amazing feeling when patients see their new smile for the first time, or experience the ability to eat their favorite foods again as the outcome of a wonderfully restored bite from dental implants.'

Dr. Guy was inducted into Dental Hall of Fame in 2018. He has been teaching Dental Implant surgery courses to other dentists since 2014, in addition to teaching courses on 3D Imaging, Communication Skills, Practice Management, and more.

When hes not serving patients and solving dental problems, Dr. Gross can be found at home with his wife of 20 years, Kate, and the couples 3 children (2 boys and a girl). He volunteers for AMBUCs and Smiles for Life, coaches football, basketball, and baseball, and enjoys watching sports or just playing outdoors with his family and friends. Given a year to do anything, Dr. Gross says he would travel the world with his family, starting with Europe, then working toward places like Australia, South America, and Africa and spending at least a month in each place.

For Dr. Kate Gross, her fathers influence and mentorship guided her career choice. Growing up in a dental family I watched the relationships that my dad built with his patients and his patients families. I liked how he made a difference in their lives and their confidence levels. Dr. Kate loves the challenge of general dentistry and the gratification of beautifying patients smiles. Theres never a dull day in the dental office. Each patient and each tooth is different, and I love how dentistry pushes me to use my brain in unique ways to problem solve each day.

Dr. Kate was motivated to go down the health care path, and at first thought that the best fit for her would be medical schoolan affinity for the medical field was always a driving force. She seriously considered being a medical doctor, but decided shed rather be a dentist like her own father. My priorities shifted I didnt want to be in school for eight additional years after college, and I didnt want the pressure of life or death decisions.

When I was young, I viewed dental care as going to see my dad! However, I hear each day from my patients that the dental office is a very intimidating place for many. I want to change all of that. It fuels my passion to get someones mouth healthy, all the while making them comfortable and changing their perception of dentistry. I saw all the benefits that my dad had from being a dentist, I liked his lifestyle, and the way he could touch his patients lives and be a very hands-on parent during my own childhood. Today dentistry allows me to have a nice balance between professional and personal life, while satisfying my ambition to be in a health care related field.

The dental group she has built with her husband, Dr. Guy Gross, is a source of pride and achievement. Theres nowhere else Id rather work than side-by-side with my husband, my father (2002-2013 when he retired), and my brother (2013 to present). It is truly a family practice - one that was built on my family working together - and one that takes care of families at every stage of life experience. I like the variety, the fast pace, and the patients that I see grow and change throughout the years. The best part of my job is the deeply caring, highly skilled, and truly awesome professionals that I work side-by-side with. Aside from my family, these are the people that I spend the most time with, and I greatly value them and enjoy their company!

When shes not helping creating lasting beautiful smiles, Dr. Kate serves as a board member of DVACK, an organization that helps women and children get back on their feet after the devastation of violence and abuse in their home lives, and supports AMBUCs. She enjoys being outdoors; whether it is running, gardening, swimming, skiing, watching her kids play sports, or chilling on the patiothe great outdoors is her happy place. She loves spending time with her husband and their 3 children, and is blessed to have her parents, in-laws, and many extended family members living here in Salina to cultivate strong family ties. Given a year off to do anything, Dr. Gross says she would take the kids out of school and take an epic around-the-world vacation, living in and experiencing new cultures, foods, people, and places.

For Cynthia Mo, a fascination with science and early exposure to orthodontia sparked an interest in dentistry. She says her strong work ethic and good attitude got her through dental school and are a big part of what makes her an excellent fit for her chosen career. I love my job! I get to work with patients of all ages on a daily basis, diagnosing oral health issues and communicating with them to achieve beautiful smiles.

Born Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. Mo currently lives and works in Salina, Kansas. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Iowa in 2012, pursued and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at University of Iowa College of Dentistry in May of 2016, and has continued her education extensive training in dental implants and oral conscious sedation. Dr. Mo is a dedicated member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Crown Council, and is excited to be a part of the New Horizons dental family.

I absolutely love this practice 's teamwork and comradery. I know I can start the day off knowing everyone has a happy-to-do-it attitude. It often doesn 't feel like 'work' because it 's such a fun group of individuals to be around. The best part of every day is seeing my patients ' reactions after handing them a mirror and watching them view their new smile for the very first time. Nothing compares!

When shes not loving every minute of her job, Dr. Mo can be found trying out local restaurants to try different cuisines, or venturing to nearby cities to enjoy a concert with friends. She volunteers with Mission of Mercy and Habitat for Humanity, and passionately supports the University of Iowa Stead Family Childrens Hospital. She also has an extensive bucket list which includes traveling to Taiwan to spend quality time with her grandmother, hiking Machu Picchu, sky diving in Australia, camping in New Zealand, and lounging in a bungalow in Bora Bora - just to name a few.

Dr. Andrews is fantastic at what she does! I had oral work done recently that lasted a few hours, and the whole time Dr. Andrews and the dental assistant, Hillary, were so gentle and made the experience smooth and easy. Maggie is my dental hygienist, and she's extremely thorough with her work and gentle as well. I highly recommend New Horizons for regular cleanings or any dental procedures!

Going to the dentist has never been my favorite thing to do. However, I am extremely happy with this dental group. My hygienist is great. I cannot speak more highly of the staff, their care, and my overall experience at New Horizons. They clearly care about their patients' concerns, and give us the opportunity to voice them. When I leave each visit I am excited to return for my next one. My kids even feel the same way. We are fortunate to have New Horizons in our commmnity.

I was treated so well at New Horizons! What an amazing staff, from the front door through the oral surgery. I'm very anxious at the dentist and they were so understanding, informative and helpful. I recommend them highly, and am very grateful for the experience I had there. We started a process today that will take awhile and I feel confident that my teeth will be given the utmost care. Thank you so much!
