Our pediatric dentist in Mission Viejo wants to talk to you about maintaining healthy habits. At our New Generation Dentistry, we practice both pediatric and general dentistry. Currently, we are going through a lot in the world, and instead of our patients being stressed out, we want to help our adult and child patients practice healthy habits. Practicing healthy habits is always essential, and currently, these healthy habits are vital.

Of course, we want to let our patients know that continuing their usual brushing and flossing is always recommended. Keeping your teeth and gums clean helps maintain overall health. If your body is trying to fight an infection in your mouth, your immune system can be compromised.

Keeping your mouth free from infection can help your body be strong in case you do come down with a sickness or virus. Remember to brush and floss after every meal. Also, remember to brush for around two minutes in total to get out harmful bacteria.

One of the most important things you can do right now is to wash your hands frequently! Think about it really quickly. Think of all the things that your hands touch on a daily basis. Now think about how many doorknobs your hands touch in public places. Have you ever wondered how many other people also have or will also touch the same exact doorknob? It is incredible how much germs and bacteria can be found on door handles! This is why it is essential to keep your hands clean. You never know what you may pick up or put down.

Keeping our hands clean is one of the most essential and most straightforward steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading sickness to other people around us. It is not only crucial to keep ourselves safe, but we need to also think about the wellbeing of others.

Germs from unwashed hands can get into food and drinks and can be left on handrails, toys, tabletops, elevator buttons, bathroom keys, and gas pumps. Removing these germs and bacteria or simply washing your hands can help prevent diarrhea, respiratory infections, eye, and skin infections, as well as viruses.

Along with washing your hands frequently, we all have to be better about not touching our faces. Did you know that on average, we touch our faces about twenty-three times an hour. People are continually touching their nose, eyes, and mouths, and they do not even realize it. When germs and bacteria make contact with our nose, eyes, and mouths, it can make us very sick. When we touch our face, we are touching mucous membranes, and this causes germ to enter the body and leads to respiratory infections.

If you feel that you are having trouble with not touching your face, you may want to frequently either wash your hands or use a high alcohol percentage hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your face as much as possible. Not touching your face and keeping it clean can also help with acne issues. If the face is always being touched, bacteria and germs start to grow and get into the skin, causing breakouts.

Since a young age, people have been taught to cover their coughs. Whether people are coughing into their elbow or hands, the goal is to prevent people from coughing on others. This practice is even more so important in these trying times. It is dire that we keep our coughs covered up, and that others hopefully follow the same method.

Couching is not a bad thing. Your body needs to cough in order to defend itself against disease. When a person coughs, they are pushing out microbes, mucus, and foreign particles from your throat and mouth. Coughing helps to protect the lungs from inflammation and, of course, infection. There are many reasons why a cough can happen, and they can even occur from dust or cold air.

With a virus currently going around the world, we want to be sure that we are protecting ourselves, our loved ones, and even the other humans around us. It is ok to have a regular cough, with that being said, please remember to cover your cough the best you can. After a cough or coughing fit, either wash your hands or use a high alcohol percentage hand sanitizer.

I keep coming back because this is the best dentist I've ever visited. I'm not taking chances anywhere else even though I moved further away. They utilize both great technology and business processes. I feel like the owner must watch Marcus Lemonis. ;) The staff is friendly, professional, and swift. It feels like you're on a first class flight. The technology they use to observe your teeth are the best I've ever experienced. Combine that with smart people who utilize that data to help guide you on your best plan. I also appreciate how they are able to explain causation analysis in simple terms as well as educating on options so that I can make the best decision for me instead of feeling pushed. If I ever hear someone is looking for a dentist I never hesitate to recommend NGD.

From entering the dental office, I was impressed with the warm welcome and friendliness of all the staff. I look forward to becoming a new patient. Yesterday, I had a crown implanted and from beginning to end I was in awe of the technology used to create a crown the same day. The staff is professional and caring. I would highly recommend New Generation Dentistry. Today was my third visit and I'm extremely grateful for Dr. Sasha's and Jocelyn's patience and kindness towards me. You have a client for life!

This is literally the best Dentist office I've tried and will forever stick with untill they decide to move to different office then I'd probably drive up to 2 hours to recieve the best ,empathetic, most technologically advanced (because they can make a perfect crown on the spot) ,most hard working plus friendliest staff in all of Orange County California; Coming from a person who's moved from east to west and been in California for 12+ years I've tried two dozen dentists and iam sticking with Dr. Sacha and his staff until the day I can't anymore. They text reminders work hard to get bills settled with insurances and even when you don't have it they'll work with all forms of payment except boycott of course lol. Seriously though I recommend all my friends and family to go their since my brother recommended me and he was correct in assuming their the best in this state..Top notch service with comfort , satisfaction, Tvs, complimentary waters and goodies, with technology at every corner to boot and even the staff are extremely thoughtful plus helpful at every turn as well. Thanks to everyone their for making my teeth, gums and habits healthier as the seasons go past.Take care and very much appreciated.

I highly recommend this place. They have the best technology and the best customer service and also the best dentists. Everyone was very knowledgeable and they were able to provide a comprehensive approach to my needs and really figure out what was causing my discomfort and come up with a reasonable game plan to fix it. I just wish I would've found this place sooner!

When our kids had some pretty negative experiences at a DIFFERENT office, we knew it was time to find a new dentist. We found New Generation Dentistry a few years back and have had an incredible experience. They know exactly how to care for and communicate with kids of all ages. Our kids loved the experience so as a result, my wife and I began attending this office as well. We all love it! From the front office staff to the hygienists to the dentists, everyone treats us warmly and with such warmth. So glad we found this office!

New Generation Dentistry has been my favorite dentist office since starting with them in 2019. I'm moved out of the area, but still drive 45 miles one way to see Dr. Sasha and his staff. Their honestly and patient care is what keeps me coming back.

Dr. Sara is amazing with our autistic 6 year old son!! He recently had to go to CHOC to undergo anesthesia for his dental procedures, and she was so kind, compassionate, and informative the entire way. We feel like she really truly cares. We are so grateful for her to recommend this procedure. The entire thing went so smoothly. Also cannot say enough good things about Gabi, the office manager. She was so fast and efficient with all his paperwork that needed to be done, she scheduled the procedure for us, and helped his pediatrician fill out the forms he needed correctly. We felt supported the entire way. Thank you guys!
