Born in Santa Barbara and raised in nearby Ventura, David Partrite originally moved to Northern California to attend UC Davis, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biochemistry. After taking a year off for travel, he began work on his dental degree at UC San Francisco. Loving the Bay Area, he decided that this was the place to live and raise a family.
While in dental school. Dr. Partrite began to realize that old school dentistry was not how he wanted to practice. So after dental school, he sought further training with Dr. Hal Huggins, a pioneer in mercury-free dentistry, as well as through the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
Silver mercury amalgam fillings and other metal restorations were not only unaesthetic, he learned. They can have an extremely negative impact on overall health, as well. Clearly, there was more to dentistry than just teeth.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Partrite enjoys spending time with his wife Audrey and their two children, Taylor and Lucas, and helping coach his kids sports teams. Hes also a musician, having played the piano and the guitar since he was 5 years old. Since Taylor has taken up the piano, they have yet another way to spend time and have fun together!
At New Era Dentistry in Danville, we dont do assembly line dentistry. You wont be just another patient in a packed waiting room. We offer individualized care for each person who comes to us for dental help.
We also offer a healthful environment. If you even think about that typical dental office smell, its only because youve noticed that it isnt there. Ionizers and HEPA filters in each treatment room thoroughly clean the air we breathe. Carpet-free spaces mean no fibers that any harmful particulate matter can get trapped in. Our treatment rooms are cleaned and sterilized between patients with nontoxic, biodegradable disinfectants.
On December 14-15, there is going to be a hearing held in Washington D.C. to discuss the safety of dental mercury amalgam. Currently, the FDA rule on dental amalgam acknowledges that The developing neurological systems in fetuses and young children may be more sensitive to the neurotoxic effects of mercury vapor, but inexplicably still says that it is safe to expose even these vulnerable populations to mercury a know neurotoxin and reproductive toxin.
I have written in my feelings and you can too!!!!! All you have to do is go here http://www.regulations.gov/search/Regs/home.html#submitComment?R=0900006480b04c4f and write how you feel about mercury in dental fillings, or how you have become ill from them, gotten better from them being replaced, or simply how you feel that an archaic material should have no place in our mouths!
