As a board-certified orthodontist, I have the privilege to spend my days with people who are making a positive, lasting change in their lives. It is deeply rewarding to take someone who is uncomfortable with the appearance of their teeth and work with them to achieve a uniquely beautiful smile!
I love that I get to see patients on a regular basis, as this allows us to get to know each other. From visit to visit, I see how each transforms: as their teeth gradually move into proper position, there is a change in appearance and personality.
As a patient sees this change, they feel more comfortable with how they look and their self-esteem blossoms. By the time their orthodontic journey is complete, my patients individuals who are now my friends have a completely new outlook on life, along with an amazing smile.
Dr. Myers graduated from the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). After practicing dentistry, and managing his own dental practice in Illinois, Dr. Myers realized his love of orthodontics.
For Dr. Myers, orthodontics is a way to help others. Treatment gives each person a beautiful smile and a functional, stable bite. This focus on long-term health and aesthetics, along with the opportunity to build relationships based on trust and respect, keep Dr. Myers motivated and excited to come to work each day.
Dr. Myers is committed to providing patients with the most advanced, effective, and comfortable orthodontic experience. Throughout the year, he seeks out opportunities to study the latest developments, learning about new technologies, methodologies, and materials. Carefully evaluating each new option, he incorporates the best into the practice and patient care.
Through these organizations, Dr. Myers is able to learn from the foremost practitioners and researchers in the specialty. He attends numerous meetings, lectures, and seminars, and keeps current with the latest journals and other professional periodicals.
Dr. Kent Daft has been helping patients achieve great smiles since 1973. He graduated from the University of Detroit Dental School and received his specialty training in orthodontics from the University of the Pacific Dental School. Dr. Daft is a past president of the Sacramento District Dental Society. He also serves on the Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Anomalies screening panel for the Sutter Medical Center.

Lori has worked in the dental field since 1994. She joined us in 2016, bringing with her years of experience in everything from starting up a new dental practice to working in high-volume offices where she coordinated schedules and benefits. In addition to managing our scheduling, Lori handles insurance matters and bookkeeping. She is glad to be part of a team where the doctors and her coworkers care for each other, our patients, and our patients families.
Melody attended Dental Assisting school and started in the field in 1984. She joined us in 1986 and wears multiple hats in the office. In addition to chairside assisting, she handles our internal and external marketing, as well as our social media presence. Melody appreciates working with fun but professional doctors and coworkers, who care about one another and our patient family.
Melody loves spending her free time with family and friends including her husband,three grown children and her grandson. She loves to travel, enjoys interior design and all sorts of crafts, and is involved with many church activities, too.
Margie attendedDental Assisting school, started in the field in 1999, and joined us in 2017, bringing with her years of experience in general dentistry and orthodontics. She works in the clinic, helping the doctors create beautiful and healthy smiles. Margie enjoys being part of a family-oriented practice, where we all pull together to provide the best experience and results.

New Element Orthodontist is an amazing office, fill with tons of friendly faces right as you walk in. Dr. Myers is a very caring doctor who always makes sure that I am comfortable when having my braces worked on. I highly recommend you come here for a beautiful smile!

My son's dentist originally referred him to another orthodontist who was horrible. We were then referred to New Elements Orthodontist. The staff and Dr's. Myers and Daft are the best. Every step and procedure is not only explained to us, the parents, but to our son. Questions are answered. And my son's fears are put at ease. We travel from Lincoln to Downtown Sacramento for treatment we love the office so much. I would highly recommend this office for orthotics.

I've been coming here for close to 40 yrs. I got my braces here and both my daughters and now my grandaughters! Dr. Daft and staff are so knowledgeable, efficient and accommodating. They make it a fun experience. Great results every time. And they have payment plans.

Daft and Stamos is the BEST ortho EVER! I just got braces and it went so smooth, and took only 30 minutes for four brackets. It is very clean and the staff is so welcoming. They are always on time, they get you in and out on quickly. This is the best orthodontist EVER!!!! -CG

New Element Orthodontics is a great combiner location right in Midtown with parking. They do a free 3D modeling to see any potential issues. They were able to work with our insurance to get half of the cost covered. Highly recommend!

This office is wonderful! We loved Shanna - she's lovely, so sweet and answered all of our questions. Dr. Myers is so kind, thorough, explains everything in a helpful way and really cares about his patients. The front staff is great too! It's a breath of fresh air working with an office that has staff that truly care about customer service and their patients. Highly recommend!
