New Dimensions in Health Care (NDHC) has been a part of the Amsterdam, NY community for almost 24 years. We are proud to say, that since 1996, our health center has offered high-quality dental and medical services to patients of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Daily, our team of professionals strives to give our patients caring, individualized treatment. Our medical staff believes that establishing these meaningful, quality connections help to achieve several objectives: a reduction in potential stressful office visits; cultivates a bond between doctor and patient and sets up life-long healthy habits.
When established in 1996, the health centers primary focus was to provide dental care as well as limited health services to the special needs population served by Liberty ARC in Montgomery and surrounding counties. Throughout the years the health centers services have grown due to the lack of local providers accepting Medicaid-eligible, uninsured and under insured patients; ensuring our patients and the communitys needs were meet.
New Dimensions in Health Care is an approved Article 28 diagnostic and treatment clinic licensed and overseen by the New York State Department of Health. NDHC also cares for patients that with no insurance and those who are under insured, providing these patients with a sliding scale fee that is reduced for individuals with the inability to pay full price for their medical care.
Were proud of our dental practice roots; a deep history of providing years of quality service to thousands of patients to ensure they are pain free and have healthy smiles. Currently, our patient base is comprised of special needs patients (the population that NDHC was formed to serve) and low income Medicaid-eligible, uninsured and underinsured patients. There has been a significant growth in services to the low income population at NDHC, beginning in 2004 when the health center added two additional dental operatories, and then again in 2007 when NDHC began accepting managed Medicaid coverage.
New Dimensions in Health Care is dedicated to continuously looking for methods to improve our patients office visits and overall daily health. Our three dentists: Dr. Vuotto, Dr. Mori and Dr. Mukherjee share this philosophy as well as the dental center staff.
In 2017, NDHC expanded Primary Care Services to full-time through a Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) grant received by the Alliance for Better Healthcare. The purpose of the DSRIP program is to transform the delivery of health care for Medicaid and uninsured patients. In order to assist in meeting this DSRIP goal, NDHC expanded its services and now has a medical provider on staff and available to patients of all ages, Monday through Friday.
Our full-time family nurse practitioner, Tracy Kuban, is here to care for the entire family. Whether you just welcomed a new little one into the family, or youre caring for an ailing parent/grandparent, Tracys compassionate, exceptional medical care is unmatched in the community. Tracy makes every effort to effectively care for her patients during office visits but is also genuinely interested in their ongoing health outside of the office as well.
