Dr. Scott Brewster identifies as a military brat with no official hometown. He decided to become a dentist because he is good with his hands, and dentistry combines his passion for art and science. Dr. Brewster attended the University of South Florida for his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Brewster completed his AEGD residency at the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he used highly-advanced science and technology and learned every facet of dentistry.

Dr. Brewster initially began his career as a dental assistant, and after completing his DDS, worked in corporate dentistry for five years. While he learned a lot and was able to create content for classes and mentor other doctors, he has always had his own ideas about delivering top-notch care to patients. Having his own dental practice allows him to practice evidence-based dentistry that truly focuses on what is best for the patient. He enjoys being able to educate patients about the procedures they need and why they need them, which helps to extinguish fear and build trust.

Dr. Brewster loves enology (the study of wine and wine-making) and viticulture (growing and harvesting grapes for wine-making). After spending his childhood moving frequently, he has developed an affinity for spontaneous travel. Dr. Brewster is also a big movie buff and loves watching new movies in his free time.

Vishwadha Gunda is our Clinical Supervisor at New Columbia Dentistry, and she aspires to attend dental school in the near future. After receiving her Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy with a double minor in Chemistry and Business Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, she chose to work in a clinical setting before pursuing dentistry as her career. Gaining hands-on experience while working and creating genuine relationships with patients are what she finds most valuable.

Vishs passion for dentistry can be paralleled to her love for dance. She has trained in various dance forms for over ten years. Growing up, she was able to instill confidence in herself and those around her through her participation in pageants. She champions self-growth, both personally and professionally. She is looking to adopt a dog soon, too!

As someone who grew up HATING the dentist, I cannot recommend this place/service enough. Between the environment (state-of-the-art), staff (courteous, kind professional), and (of course) the dentist himself/operations, it truly makes going to the dentist... well, enjoyable . My world view as it relates to the dental practice is forever changed. Thank you, New Columbia Dentistry Team!

I really really like this place! The doctor is nice, cares about his patients, and good at what he does. I looked for months for a dentist and office where I would feel comfortable and not self-conscious and i was finally lucky and found New Columbia Dentistry. The hygienist and techs here are also amazing. I had extensive deep cleaning work that needed to be done and everyone was really patient and kind throughout the process. Its located in a great neighborhood and walkable from the metro. I will keep coming here for a long time.

Highly recommend checking out this clinic because it's fantastic from start to finish. To start the clinic is new so it's super clean and state of the art technology from a hand held X-Ray gun to the 360 one that plays music. (It's the small things that make the difference) All the staff are super friendly and welcoming and the check In process was super easy. My previous clinic always made me do a bunch of physical paperwork but here everything was online and easy to do before I reached. They also run very smoothly on time. Didn't have to wait long before I was scene. The hygienist was very intelligent and friendly and was able to notice the smallest things to make sure I get the most optimal care. They also have TVs on the ceilings! The dentist Dr. Brewster is also a fantastic one. Very friendly and attentive and he really gives honest opinions one whether or not you need some work done. Overall this clinic was a great experience and can't wait to come back. PS. They serve wine here which definetly shows you the vibe they are going for

Be careful. They didn't check my insurance plan requirements and what could have been a cheap cavity filling became a $1000 crown not covered by my insurance.

This office is really something else!!!! I have never looked especially forward to going to the dentist... but! For starters, this place serves wine. Yup. Right when you walk in and admire the pleasant decor, a glance to your left reveals a cooler stocked with (actually very good) wine!! I knew right away that this was a different kind of office! The staff is courteous, accommodating and professional. The dentist is super nice and quite disarming. I had to have two pretty involved procedures, but they were both a breeze because I was fully inclined watching a ceiling TV the entire time. Everybody works efficiently but also quickly so it doesn't take up your whole day. I totally recommend this office and am very grateful to have found them!

Dr. Brewster is so nice and patient. The staff is friendly. The office is modern and clean. Here, I got 4 pairs of Invisalign retainers for the price of 1 pair at another office. I'm so glad I found this place.

Excellent care from start to finish! New Columbia Dentistry has state of the art equipment and a gorgeous facility. Dr. Brewster and his hygienists were all very kind and did everything to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Brewster found that I needed a few cavities filled. Before scheduling the appointment, I was given an estimate of cost for the procedure with my insurance. It was so nice to know what I would be looking at financially before the appointment. Dr. Brewster did an excellent job with my fillings -it was virtually painless. Highly recommend Dr. Brewster and NCD! Oh and did I mention they have a wine dispenser in the lobby?! : )

Like many of us I am very scared to go to the dentists office. Last year I had an extremely horrible experience with another dental practice in Washington DC. Call my teeth were in really bad shape so I needed to do something and find a good dentist. On the chance and counter I bumped into Dr. Brewster Who happens to live in my neighborhood. I told him my dilemma about the failed and unhappy experience I had with another dentist. He told me to come and see him he will take great care of me. Well after about three months of avoiding the inevitable, my teeth started hurting really bad. My wife made my appointment with Dr. Brewster and he saw me the same day. When I first entered the office they had Covid safety precautions in place. I did most of my check-in before I went to the office online so I only had to fill out a couple more quick questionnaires. The dental assistant who helped me when I walked in (named Vish.) She was super friendly, very efficient and made me feel very welcome right away. In my mind I assumed that he would do some x-rays determine what needed to be done and then have to schedule an appointment to come back at another time to handle the actual procedures. And trust me when I tell you my teeth were a hot mess. Dr. Brewster explained everything to me very clearly broke it down and gave me a plan on the spot. And then to my surprise offered to do all the work on the spot we are talking about a wisdom tooth extraction two root canals and some other stuff. A lot of times dentist will send you somewhere else to get route canals. Dr. Brewster does it all in-house himself. He was sure handed , confident and very efficient. As a matter fact I got to watch a feature length movie while they were doing the procedure. He literally has TVs mounted up in the ceiling so while you were laying back to getting your dental procedure you can look up to the ceiling and watch your favorite Netflix movie. It definitely put me at ease and kept my mind off of the procedures that were taking place His office even works on toddlers and I will be bringing back my wife and son to get their dental needs handled. I'm normally not one to take the time out to give a review New Columbia dental is an amazing dental office. If I could give them more than five stars I would I highly recommend checking them out.

Had an incredible experience at this new office. The staff members were very professional especially the office manager Susan was so patient trying to accommodate my needs while scheduling my appointment. The new patient forms were online, completely covered everything they should know to make my visit more comfortable. They had advanced dental equipment including the 3D scan. Dr. Brewster was an excellent dentist, very kind, empathetic and knowledgeable. The music is very pleasant and calming. I'm so glad I found this office. Also, it's DOG-FRIENDLY!!!!!! Would definitely recommend this office for any dental services.

Best experience I have ever had at the dentist. Dr. Brewster and the whole team were so caring, fun and compassionate! They have the best dental technology and TVs on the ceilings! They walked me through every single thing step-by-step. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this team. If you need a dentist, look no further!

"Dr. " Brewster has one of the worst chair side manners and most unprofessional behaviors. Having had an appointment booked for months at another business he "moonlights" in, he had not even bothered to look at the charts or notes . Spend your time and money wisely book elsewhere and get real dental care.

As a new patient to the practice, I felt so well taken care of. My insurance benefits and cost of the visit was explained ahead of time, which I so appreciate. The entire staff was professional, personal, efficient and made the experience very pleasant. The office is modern and clean, and there is even a TV on the ceiling to distract from the work being done. I would highly recommend!
