I completed myundergraduatedegree in biological sciences at University of California,Irvine in 2000.MyDoctorate of Dental Medicine degreewas completed at Boston University in 2004.During my four years at Boston Universitydental clinic, Ihad the opportunityto treat underprivileged and underserved patients in the major metropolitan city of Boston, MA. It was there that I learned firsthand how to handle dental emergencies and difficult dental surgeries on even the most medically compromised patients. From the most difficultextractionsto the most complex cosmetic cases, Boston University prepared me well for a career in dentistry.Although I handle all general dentistry treatments and cosmetic cases, my concentration as of late has been endodontics or root canal treatment.I am an activemember of the American Dental Association, The California Dental Association,Tri-County Dental Society, and Orange County Dental Society.
My dental education began with an undergraduate degree in science from the University of California at Irvine. I then received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University at Chicago in 1996.On the way, I joined St. Joseph Hospital as part of their medical staff. This hospital provides free dental care to needy children from low-income families. You cant believe the joy that I feel when I treat these patients. I also teach oral hygiene education in the Corona Norco Unified School District.
As for professional affiliations, I am a member of the American Dental Association, The California Dental Association, Tri-county Dental Society, and the Inland Empire Dental Implant Club. I am also pleased to be a part of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), a highly visible group of dentists with a determined mission to create public awareness of oral conscious sedation, and its role in helping highly anxious patients achieve their optimal oral health. I believe the biggest challenge facing the dental profession today is to change the public mindset of how dentistry used to be.
