I trained in dentistry in Tehran, Iran as well as Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, where I received my specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. I opened my first practice in Forest Hills New York in 1984. I opened my home office in Great Neck so I would not be far away from my two young children when they came home from school. A quarter-century later my older son Jonathan joined me in my adventure. I am so happy he is a part of NFD- with his new energy and advanced skills and my years of experience, we are able to offer 21st-century dentistry to our patients. My new hope is to get together with my fellow female dentist and organize a dental club. That is something to look forward to!

Dr. Jonathan Neman graduated from Stony Brook University with a BA and from the School of Dental Medicine with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S). Dr. Jon as most patients know him, continued his training as a General Practice Resident at Stony Brook Hospital and furthered his training at New York Hospital Queens, where he trained as Chief Resident. Dr. Neman gained advanced training and experience in many fields of dentistry including endodontics (root canals), cosmetic dentistry as well as implant dentistry. Dr. Neman obtained hands-on surgical training working under the guidance of many dental specialists including Prosthodontist, Periodontists, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Neman studied with the leaders in the ever-changing field of implant dentistry, at New York University (NYU) School of Dental Medicine.

Hello there! I am Dr Bernie and I grew up in the Mariana Islands, on two tiny rocks in the Pacific. I attended college at the University of Washington (Go Huskies!) and went on to dental school at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). I completed my general practice training at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist as a chief resident.

I am dedicated to providing you with a quality dental experience with maximum comforthelping you improve your smile and maintain great oral health! Outside of dentistry, I love adventure walks around different neighborhoods, searching for unusual ingredients, and letting the creative juices flow in the kitchen. Dr. Mei Yang was born in China and spent her early childhood in Wisconsin before moving to her current home in Queens, NY. She graduated from NYUwith a BA in Chemistry. She then went on to graduate from the NYU College of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS). Dr. Mei completed her General Practice Residency at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Dr. Meis goal as a dentist is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where we can address your oral health needs together as a team.

Dr. Peter Zhao hails from San Diego, California. After completing the undergraduate portion of the University of the Pacifics Accelerated Dental program and earning his B.S. in three years, he took the plunge and moved to New York to attend NYU College of Dentistry. While at NYU, he was selected to participate in a wealth of international and domestic dental outreach experiences and graduated with honors in Implant Dentistry and Invisalign. He then continued his training at Jacobi Medical Center in affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, gaining experience treating patients with complex medical and dental histories. Dr. Peter keeps up-to-date with the evolving dental landscape through the Spear Institute and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and enjoys tennis, hiking, and finding the best tacos in town.

We encourage you to inquire about our financing options so we can work with you to create a payment plan that is designed to fit your financial circumstances. We also have an in office savings plan available.

We ask that you realize that we do NOT work for an insurance company. Rather we work 100% for our patients. We feel that insurance can be great benefit for many patients and want you to know we will do everything in our power to ensure you get every benefit allotted in your insurance contract. However, the treatment we recommend and the fee we charge WILL ALWAYS BE BASE ON YOUR INDVIDUAL NEEDS, NOT YOUR INSURANCE COVARAGE.
