Dr. Nourahmed graduated with a bachelors degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She moved to Iowa in 2009 to start dental school at the only dental school in the country that offers programs in all 10 dental specialties at the time. Although at that time she did not know whether she wanted to become a general dentist or a specialist, it was important for her to get the most inclusive dental education. She is now very happy about that decision, as she found that she enjoys all aspects of dentistry! Dr. Nourahmed enjoys doing a wide range of dental procedures and is always looking to learn new advances in dentistry through continuing education. From reconstructing smiles and rebuilding self-confidence, to eliminating dental pain, she really enjoys it all! Dr. Nourahmed joined Bettendorf Dental in 2017 because of its reputation of excellence and exceptional patient care. She believes a good dentist is a skilled dentist that is as focused on the technical outcome as on the patients overall comfort. Skill and compassion should go hand in hand when treating patients. Her philosophy is simple; to strive each day to be the dentist she would choose for herself or her family. When not caring for patients, Dr. Nourahmed spends her time with her husband and their two children. She enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, watching her kids play sports (especially soccer) and going on long bike rides.
Dr. Fosters goal is conservative dentistry, with a focus on preserving tooth structure for longevity. By using patient education to try to control the preventable aspects of dental disease, she strives to give a better long-term prognosis for health & esthetics. She finds a balance of art and science with exposure to many different personalities in dentistry and enjoys helping patients build confidence in their health and smile. Dr. Foster grew up in Rochelle, Illinois and enjoys reading, playing sports, and traveling along with spending time with her son.
With the intent of making our office as home-like and comfortable as possible, we have designed our reception room to look like a living room, with an adjacent coffee bar and childrens area. The treatment rooms, with their bay windows, ceiling mounted television sets, plants, and quilts are designed to feel like a den. Many patients have expressed delight with being able to watch their favorite TV programs while receiving dental care.

Good overall. Dr. Nelson is a great source of information and a very competent dentist. There was a problem with the computer system that made my crown much harder to work.

Nelson dentistry has always provided excellent service. My family has enjoyed going there for years! They are prompt courteous and friendly. They not only know what they are doing but they will make recommendations to proactively keep your pearly whites healthy!

I absolutely adore Dr Nelson and all of his staff. Something that was at one time traumatic (dentists visits Eek!) is actually enjoyable to catch up with everyone. Staff is very gentle on my sensitive teeth and you can tell they truly care about their patients. Dr Nelson has even called me while he was on vacation to check on my health when I was having dental issue. Highly recommend!
