Together with Dr. Starr, Sylvie made arrangements and promoted the annual lecture for the Greater Washington dental community. The funds raised have continued to support both dental research and education at the University of Pennsylvaniaand the University of Maryland dental schools and breast cancer research and education at the Washington Hospital Center and George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Sylvie is currently the coordinator of Dr. Starr's study club, Greater Washington Academy of Dental Studies. Sylvie has been a pillar of strength for our practice, and a lesser known fact, Petra and Sylvie are sisters.
