Before Dr. Nelson Butay became a dentist, he received two art awards in sculpting and drawing. Shortly after, he stumbled onto a dental book located in the art section of the University of Hawaii library that united his creativity as an artist with his thirst for scientific knowledge. With a new direction set, he attended Northwestern University Dental School, founded by G.V. Black, the Father of Modern Dentistry.
Dr. Nelson Butay applies his skills as an artist to help people realize the power of a personalized smile. His cosmetic skills are further enhanced by his training in orthodontics. Dr. Butay has been practicing dentistry since 2001, has completed three years of specialized orthodontic training, and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2014, 2015, & 2017, Dr. Butay was voted the best dentist by Inland Valley Daily Bulletin readers.

Since the beginning of her training at Northwestern University Dental School, Dr. Lenh Phui has been recognized as an exceptional dentist. Upon her graduation from dental school in 2000, the Dean and Professors of Northwestern University awarded her with the American College of Prosthodontics Outstanding Achievement Award. This honor is presented to the graduating dental student with the best technical ability for dentistry.

I had come to this office 2 months ago for myself and was impressed so i thought Id being my 13 year old son hoping hed have the same experience and that was not the case. The dentist was rude and unprofessional kept huffing and puffing tried drilling my sons teeth without anesthesia which obviously didnt work. So he finally decides to numb him and when my son said he felt the anesthesic didnt numb him out the dentist looked at his d.a. and rolled his eyes. My son said he was rough with him and felt like he purposely kept putting pressure on his chin and stabbing at his gums extremely hard. After he filled my sons cavity he didn't even put any luminous light to dry and harden it. My son says he feels like theres a giant hole in his tooth.. Then the dentist kept suggesting i go to another dentist that uses nitrous gas. I do not recommend this office and I urge you not to take your children here.I will not be returning and will be making a formal complaint to my insurance carrier

Super nice, and very informative. Goes over everything, and I believe takes very good care of me. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months. Never had any pain, and just had my front tooth crowned, and was super easy, Thank you Dr. Butay

I like the clean office and atmosphere I found at neighborhood smile. Both Dr. Phui and Dr. Butay are very professional and willing to explained your treatment and concerns with no questions. I also found the hygienist's professional and very skilled and proficient cleaning teeth. This office continues to impress me every time I return. I have recommended them to my family and friends.

Never left the dentist without pain, but this place really did a great job. I had some pretty major work that needed to be done, and I was in a lot of pain. However after the procedures the pain was gone entirely. I didn't even need ibuprofen. Highly recommend, and I will happily return for future work.
