NHC sees people, not problems, and recognizes that the time spent as a patient in a doctors office is only one factor in a persons overall health. Our leading-edge, integrated clinical teams work in partnership with patients, their families, and the communities we serve to provide whole-person care, prevention, and ongoing support. As a result, NHC is our neighbors first choice for health and wellness.

Differences in people and perspectives are acknowledged, encouraged, and addressed equitably. Individuals are valued members of their team or group, and have the support they need to do their jobs well. We honor patient choice, and patients can rely on NHC to be responsive, honest, and reliable at every point of contact.

Operational processes and decisions are informed by data, best practices, and stakeholder feedback. Communication, internally and externally, is clear and consistent. All aspects of the organization are in compliance with applicable rules, standards, and laws.

Team members pursue ongoing professional development to ensure high quality patient care. Any community member who has contact with NHC has the opportunity to provide feedback on the experience; and community feedback is regularly reviewed by leadership.

Made me come in for a last-minute appointment just to tell me that they couldn't do anything for me and then I'll be in pain for two weeks don't go here or any of their locations

The BEST dental experiences I've ever had UNTIL trying to make an appointment with some random call center. You can't speak with the actual office or call to make an appointment.

Dr.Coleman Bright ruined 3 of my teeth today doing a filling making it much worse than what it started out to be. Other tooth that he worked on on the front next to the one he worked on got accidentally damaged I just noticed and feels like a line across it. I'm going to be call my insurance tomorrow to discuss the plan for the ruined sensitive tooth and the damaged one. I now need a veneer but the dentist said that it's fine and should smooth out with regular eating and brushing and ignored my complaint even after I pointed it out before leaving. I was left in pain. The mexican receptionist is rude too and always looks annoyed n rolls her eyes at customers and makes fun of poor patients for not affording care they need. The dental guard I had made works well though at least.

NHC has at LEAST 5 different phone numbers, and they tell you that they're direct lines to certain dental locations, but they ALL just go to ONE call center. So, if you need to get a hold of a specific person, the call center has to send a message to the location you need, and then you have to pray that both the message goes through, AND that the location checks their messages in time, AND then hope that they actually call you back. For example, I have a massive tooth infection and had a tooth pulled today; when the novocaine wore off the pain was ungodly. So I called them 2 hours before closing to ask if it was ok to put Anbesol inside the hole and if I could get a refill of the special mouthwash they gave me last time (not sure why, but the mouthwash needs an Rx for some reason). They told me they'd send a message and I'd get a call back. But more than a half hour later I hadn't heard back, and since it was close to closing time I called them back, but was just told the same thing. So I waited another hour, still nothing, so I called a 3rd time. This time I was told that they'd be closing soon, and that I'd have to call back and try to talk to the on-call after-hours doctor. So ridiculous, and ALL of this could have been avoided simply by providing a direct phone number. I'm now considering switching dentists, because I'd rather pay more money if it means I can actually get a call through to them!

It concerns me that with as many complaints about a particular individual that works upfront that either she would reflect and change her unprofessional behavior or she should be removed. Just because people are on State Ins. Should never justify being disrespectful.

Everytime I come in here the receptionist is extremely rude, condescending and unprofessional. She has gone so far as to visibly roll her eyes at me just for asking a simple question. Today I moved a chair so that I could sit by my son while waiting for him to have a regular cleaning. She insisted on telling me the chair must be moved back. Which I had planned to do after I was done using it. So, I said "yes, of course, we know" as politely as I could. This wasn't good enough for her. She pretended that she needed to "organize" pamphlets on the wall so that she could tell me to get up and move. All of a sudden she needs to adjust pamphlets while the "free toothpaste" bin on her desk sits empty? Also, she was cackling, laughing with co-workers in the back the entire time we were waiting. At one point, she yelled to Matthew that he was"cochino" (gross/disgusting). The same person who was supposed to be cleaning my son's teeth is being called cochino by his co-worker?? This is highly unprofessional and rude behavior. We will not be returning to this location for any further dental needs in the future. We've put up with enough bad experiences here.

This is my neighborhood dental center! I've been going here for years. After only a few visits the staff knows me and greets me warmly every time I visit! They have helped me avoid expensive future visits by helping me thru my comprehensive health care and when they cannot help me, they have been able to provide me with referrals. I make it a point to visit every six months and I look forward to seeing the dentist and the support staff. (Thank you Veronica! Thank you Dr Bright! Thank you everybody!!) This office also does sliding scale for the uninsured... so that everyone may receive care!

Coleman Bright is a brilliant dentist and the hygienists are so gentle and friendly. The front desk however lacks training in communication and how to treat people with respect regardless of income or their current station in life. Not bothering to look things up like insurance for billing purposes while scheduling an appointment. Instead launching into interrogation mode, grilling needlessly: "How do you live if you are so poor? Who pays for your food? " Then giving out clerical tasks to prove income when all they have to do is look it up in their computer, twice now I've been put through this humiliation. Again, the dentist and folks that actually treat you are fabulous, if I could separate the stars I'd give them 5! If you can stomach getting through the front office your mouth is in good hands.

The front desk is horrible, they're constantly talking to other staff and I have to wait like 15 mini just to get in and the call time to try and schedule or cancel and appointment over the phone is ridiculous, on the phone for an hour and no one answers.

I am posting as an employee and as a dental patient! In my two years with the organization, I have only positive things to say. The organization itself genuinely cares about the population we are committed to serving and the staff who do so. The Senior Admin are wonderful, fun and down to earth people. The organization itself is newer in comparison to some of the other health systems in the area, but they have grown to serve everyone, with attentiveness for those who are typically underserved. I can stand by the work that's done and know their genuine mission is caring for PEOPLE not inflating their pockets, yet remaining fiscally responsible. My department has had dramatic growth, and a manager who is our greatest advocate, and seeks to improve. Amidst COVID I have seen NHC step up for the community and its staff, I am so thoroughly humbled to work for such an awesome organization, and hope to see it grow and serve to its fullest extent. Not to mention their dentist and their assistants are awesome, and got me well cared for after a fractured tooth!

My first visit here was a 7 am walk-in for pain in my mouth. I was treated with respect from start to finish. Going to the dentist can be scary but every person here made me feel comfortable. They went above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend them. Thank you to all of the staff here.

I went in yesterday for tooth pain due to a crack and had to schedule the actual repair appointment and dreaded being in pain. But they got me in later that day and fixed my tooth. I am so relieved to be able to drink water again.

I have been so impressed with the care I have received at NHC in Milwaukie! Every dentist that has been involved in my extensive dental treatment has been excellent. The dental assistants and hygienist are very caring too. The only difficulty I've had is reaching the clinic directly as there is a new call center. As soon as that is straightened out... they get 5

The dental staff there was great, however I paid my bill in full the day of treatment but received another bill a few month later. After spending about an hour on hold total, calling their billing office in Colorado who told me to call the local clinic who told me to call the the billing office and they again told me to call the clinic again, I was told the extra charge was something they forgot to add to my bill at the time of service. The clinic rep said they will just continue to send me the bill even if I don't pay and nothing can be done about it. I believe this was an error and oversight so should be adjusted off. If anyone from the clinic sees this and can do that, please let me know, I'd be glad to change my review to more positive.
