Best dentist to date legit they are very thorough and gentle as can be my kiddos love them and my oldest gets nervous from having previous bad experiences with other dentist and these guys put her at ease amazing.

Nicole cleaned my teeth and I was shocked with how wonderful the experience was! She was so gentle on my teeth and caring. She also could not have been any friendlier! Doctor Sean Rasmusson was also amazing! He was very informative and helpful with making a plan with me for my teeth as I may need future work done on them.

When was the last time you visited a dentist for a full dental exam? If its been too long, but youre afraid or embarrassed for whatever reason, then its time to rethink the importance of your oral health and the impact it has on your overall health. Undetected dental issues can turn into serious health problems that can end up costing more time, money, and stress.

Dental visits are far from scary at Neighborhood Dental. Our team makes sure youre comfortable from the moment you walk into our office, where well gently clean and examine your teeth, mouth, and gums.

  • Step 3 Well safely and quickly complete an x-ray if needed. Once complete, the dentist will review the x-ray, and examine your teeth, gums and bite. Additionally, we will conduct an oral cancer screening by gently feeling under the jaw, checking inside the lips, tongue, and sides, as well as the floor and roof of the mouth.

  • What does a dental exam include? A dental exam consists of examining your mouth, including the teeth, gums, tongue, jaw, and neck. After thoroughly cleaning your teeth and gums and completing x-rays, the dentist performs an exam by looking at your x-rays and mouth. Our goal is to make sure youre staying healthy and maintaining your oral health long-term. Besides making sure youre brushing and flossing correctly, our dentist checks for existing tooth decay issues, gum disease, potential bone loss in the teeth, and jaw and bite alignment. If you have any cavities or crowns, we check to make sure they dont need to be fixed or replaced. Our dentist in Sioux Falls, SD also performs an oral cancer screening at each exam because early detection is vital to your long-term health. The dental exam is a pain-free process and preventive health care can stop problems before they arise or worsen. After the exam, well discuss anything of concern and the next steps. Feel free to ask any questions about your teeth and gums; were here to help.

I HIGHLY recommend Neighborhood Debtal in Yankton!! I lost part of a crowned tooth, called in Tuesday (as they were closed for the Labor Day holiday) and they were able to get me in Wednesday morning! They were able to get it pulled in the office that visit! Saved me alot of headache of needing to be referred! Dr Larsen was the BEST! He walked through every little detail of what he was doing! His assistants were so helpful! I made a comment on how chilly it was in the office, next thing..I had a blanket! My family is new to the area, but we will be going to them as our new family dentist! Thank you EVERYONE at the office!! PS! Thank you for the welcome gift!!!

Dr. Larsen rushed through my appointment and didn't let me ask any questions. There was no long term plan for my care and the receptionists were short and snarky. My hygienist (I'm sorry, I can't recollect her name) and her assistant Naomi were AMAZING, patient, and kind to me during this visit. My hygienist did her absolute best to answer my questions while remaining within her scope. I could not be happier with her service even though she stabbed my pockets and made me cry. Lol - not her fault, I was emotional and distressed. She did her best to be gentle and I am so grateful. I used to love this practice, but this experience with staff was disappointing. Allow me to conclude by stating that while my diagnosis were unfortunate, that has not been reflected in this review. I truly feel as though the receptionists could have at least warmly welcomed me and that Dr. Larsen could have slowed down and taken his hands out of my mouth to listen to my concerns and answer my questions.
