Dr. Armstrong is a native of Hickory, NC. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a degree in Biology. She then relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where she attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. She graduated in 2010 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Armstrong completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville Medical Center before settling in Greensboro, NC. She has worked in private practice since 2011. Dr. Armstrong also serves as an officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard. Dedicated to seeing more young women in the health professions field, she mentors young people interested in a career in dentistry.
Dr. Armstrong attends continuing education classes to keep her dental knowledge current. When she is not busy seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping and going to the movies.
Dr. Bates could be considered a world traveler. Growing up with a father in the military, he has resided all over the world to include places such as Alaska and Germany, but is proud to call Clarksville, Tennessee home.
Dr. Bates completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a double major in Biochemistry and Psychology. Initially interested in pharmacy studies, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry instead. Dr. Bates graduated in 2011 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, NC. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Bates settled in Greensboro, NC in 2012 and serves as an officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard.
Dr. Bates attends continuing education classes to keep his dental knowledge current, and is especially good with pediatric patients and oral surgery. Dr. Bates is a member of several dental societies as well as Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
Rachel is an experienced manager with over 10 years of experience in the Business of Dentistry. She attended high school in Raleigh, NC but relocated to the Greensboro area in 2004 to pursue a college education. Since then, she has received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also holds an Associates Degree in Business as well as a Microsoft Office Certification in Excel. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business with a concentration in Management and Human Resources.
Rachel prides herself on helping others grow professionally and has the vision and ability to nurture patient and employee relationships. At Neighborhood Dental, she conducts the handling of insurance claims,pre-authorization of treatment, treatment coordinating/scheduling, and insurance networking. She is also our HIPAA compliance officer.
On any given day you can find her with a smile on her face along with a positive attitude and a willingness to attend others in need. She is a natural leader and demonstrates patience and understanding for those around her.
Tiara has been working in office administration for over two years. She has been married for four years and is a devoted wife and mother of a three-year-old little girl. She is originally from Brooklyn, NY and moved to North Carolina about ten years ago. While pursuing a nursing degree at a local college, she enjoys other activities such as spending time with family and friends, doing homework, and shopping. She prides herself on being diligent in executing tasks for patients in an efficient and timely manner. She is always willing to learn new things to expand her knowledge of the dental field.
Alyssia has been a dental assistant for six years and has enjoyed every minute of it. She believes in improving the dental experience by making sure her patients are fully aware of and understand every aspect of their treatment. Patient education is important to her and she is always looking for opportunities for improvement. In her spare time, Alyssia and her husband of four years, Jordan, enjoy hiking, singing, and playing video games. Originally from Ohio, she enjoys the warmer weather here in North Carolina and is proud to call it her home.
Ruqia has been involved in dentistry since 2005 when she graduated from Guilford Technical Community College for Dental Assisting. Migrating to the United States from war-torn Afghanistan in late 2000, she supported her family while attending school. When she is not busy working at Neighborhood, she stays even busier at home taking care of her husband and lovely daughter, Hadiya. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family. Ruqia is a hard worker who not only helps to take care of patients, but also our OSHA and Radiology certifications.
She is a single mother of two beautiful daughters who are currently in school at ECU and UNCG. While working as a manicurist, Thao attended Guilford Technical Community College. She graduated in 2009 as dental assistant and again in 2011 as a Dental Hygienist.
A hard worker by nature, Thao has worked two jobs to support herself and her daughters for as long as she can remember. She loves both jobs wholeheartedly. Thao loves to make her clients as well as her patients feel good about themselves. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and reading. Thao 's dream home is one by a lake where she can gaze out of her window and paint. Her motto is 'when you stop dreaming, you stop living.'

I really like all the people at this office. They're knowledgeable and friendly, and they have a good schedule. I've been to a fair amount of dentists in my nearly 40yrs of life, in several states, and this is officially my preferred go-to dental location.

NASTY place that needs to be updated more and cleaned. The people who work there need to learn how to treat others.they are more worried about making money than helping with pain.there is so much more I could say about the rudeness...

I called and got seen within an hour after calling 30 Dentist offices in Guilford county. I know I got lucky, but the service and professionalism I experienced on short notice was admirable and greatly appreciated by not only myself, but also my family. Thank you all for being! Much RESPECT.

This office goes above and beyond. Front desk to medical personnel in the back are all exceptional. They have been Extremely accommodating to my crazy busy work schedule. Dr Armstrong is compassionate and intelligent. I also had to have adult wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Antwon and he was gentle and very observant to my uneasiness. Looking forward, but also not looking forward to further work I need done; however I can't imagine having my teeth taken care of anywhere else now. I've already made this recommendation to many friends and co-workers.

I absolutely love this office . This is the best dental office I have ever been to. The diversity , the customer service , and the feeling of you count is such a huge focus in this dental office . This was my first visit there and everyone there was super friendly. The office and exam room was very clean. The dentist (Dr. Armstrong) was very informative and explained everything in detail and made sure I understood what procedures would be done. Alyssia and Rachel were exceptional also. I look forward to coming back to my next visit.

Dr. Armstrong is by far the best and kindest dentist I have ever seen! The dental assistants and hygienists are also pleasant and helpful. The administrative staff is knowledgeable and patient. I usually hate going to the dentist but this staff creates such a great environment!
