A self-proclaimed continuing education junkie, Dr. Asantes quest, desire, and dedication to life-long learning ensures she provides the best quality of care for her patients. She is a certified Invisalign provider and has taken various continuing education courses with highly recognized institutions such as the Phelps Institute Implant Course and Dawson Academy. She has a great passion for Implantology, Invisalign, and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Asante is an active member of the Maryland Dental Association, the Academy of Oral Surgery, the International Academy of Ceramic Implantology, the National Dental Association, the American Dental Political Action Committee, the Christian Medical and Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Dr. Asante loves treating patients from all walks of life. Her service to her community goes far beyond the walls of dentistry. During her spare time, she is the Visionary Founder and President of the Enhancing Adolescent Girls for an Evolving Resolution, Incorporated (EAGER, Inc.) and is an experienced orator that has served as a keynote speaker and panelist at various conferences.
Dr. Asante enjoys helping millennial entrepreneurs start non-profit businesses and cultivate their inner skills through private life coaching sessions. She also enjoys traveling, sky diving, music, reading novels, and spending time with family and friends.

This was my first visit at Neibauer Dental and I couldn't be more pleased. I was seen at my appointment time. Dr. Harandi was very knowledgeable and skilled dentist explained everything well and was very patient thought out the process, he was able to take care of my complicated crown right away in the first visit. He almost makes going to the Dentist an enjoyable experience!

Dr. Ashkan Harandi is a sheister. He claimed that I had two cavities. I asked to see them on the x-ray but could not see them. He pointed out a dark area. I saw no dark area. He insisted. Ultimately, having so much doubt, I got a second opinion. The second dentist examined the x-ray and he saw no cavities. I asked to see the x-ray. He looked at my teeth. There were no cavities. I have no dental insurance. Fillings would have cost more than $500 cash. Thank goodness I listened to my gut instinct. Dr. Ashkan Harandi is a deceitful and greedy dental practitioner. Do not give him your business.

I've been trying to get a crown for over a month fora root canal that I feel want needed. I was in no pain whatsoever but was told it was needed. Now every time I make an appointment they call me the day before to try to reschedule. I'll definitely be finding another dentist once I have the crown done. This is ridiculous. UPDATE===Lakeshia the office manager helped so much. She got me an appointment at a sister office without having to pay anything extra and kept me from removing the tooth which would have caused further issues in the future. I'm so thankful she was there to intervene.

Wonderful. Competent. Fair minded. Modern and holistic approach which reflects partnership with patients, dentist and support staff. Dr. Harandi and Leslie really work with you on all fronts, and stress importance of overall health, and correlation to dental health. He is accepting new patients, and I strongly recommended this office for dental care

I've never been so inclined to write a review but Dr.Asante has literally been the worst dentist I've had. The previous dentists that were here at the Hyattsville location were great! They were attentive, patient, explained things to me, thoughtful healthcare providers and delivered quality care. Dr. Asante however is extremely unprofessional, cold, RUDE, and has delivered the worst care I've ever experienced. She doesn't even look at my teeth at some of the visits. She is always an 1+ hour behind schedule or she will last minute cancel all your appointments. I've had my appointment pushed back by 2 months!! I hope she understands how her decisions impact other people. I would advise everyone to steer CLEAR from this practice until they get a new dentist or she changes her ways. I feel bad for the support staff because it's clear she has let them take the heat for the repercussions of her behavior. It's hard because I want to support black doctors but I can't support someone who delivers poor care 0/10 would not recommend . UPDATE: Beware! They have been cancelling appointments for the past 3-4 months. I would highly recommend you find another place for dental care.

Not too long ago I wrote a review for Neibauer Dental Care, poorly meeting patients' care standards, cancelling patients' appointments literally a day before the scheduled appointment and after months of waiting. Per recommendations of friends and family members however, I decided to visit the place at last and I am glad that I did so. I had a great experience and was impressed how professional and kind the new office staff were. Of course everyone delivered a consistent great quality, but special thanks to Norma, Stephani and Dr. A. Harandi who made my experience pleasant.

I have been to this Dentist office in the past. I notice new people and the former employees are no long at this location. Had an X-ray and the dentist was very informative, he explained what he saw on the results of the X-ray, clearly.

I came here for a routine cleaning which I get twice a year for free since it's covered by my insurance. As a first time customer, I was told that I could not transfer my info from the Oxon Hill location (where I had been going for years before moving) and I had to complete first time procedures and screening. The cost of these services was not communicated up front and I was surprised with a bill which fortunately I was able to pay but felt predatory because I was also told later that my info could have been transferred. Additionally the dentist who spent very little time with me (at the end of my appointment) tried to scare and shame me into getting invisaline when every dentist I've ever seen has said my teeth are great and that invisaline would be cosmetic. (Makes me wonder if dentists get commission when people get invisaline.) The second star is for the physical comfort of the space. I did not like my experience and will be driving to Oxon Hill for my appointments from now on. Please don't contact me anymore @NeibauerHyattsvilleLocation

Had a terrible experience. Was surprised to find I needed an x-ray just for a routine check up. They kept messing up the x-ray which mean multiple x-ray doses. First I was told I had a cavity but halfway through filling it, they decided I need a root canal. Fast forward to root canal treatment, instead of completing the operation in one visit, they had me come in late and couldn't finish. Instead of just the delaying the next patient, they stopped mid procedure and made me come back to finish including reapplying anesthetics. I have a fear of needles and forcing me to go through it twice just because they can't keep on schedule really sucks. They never even asked if I had a retainer. It wasn't until after the operation when I brought it up that they tell me I need to get a new one to fit. Now I am finding out that they gave me a failed root canal. I will look to have it fixed somewhere else.

Great service. Everyone was professional and extremely polite. The dentists and hygienist were very thorough and efficient, and were very forthcoming about next steps. I had the pleasure of being seen briefly by Amyiah for annual X-rays. She was extremely professional and had an outstanding disposition. Her bedside manner made me feel extremely comfortable and she talked me through the entire process, which added to my comfort. The office was very clean and PPE's were used by everyone in the office.

I've been going to this dentist since 2019 and it's been nothing but love from the staff and they got a deserved 5 stars. however they recently changed up the dentist and it has been a nightmare for me. It's almost like she gave off a negative vibe, but had a fake positive appearance. Anyways, I had to go back 3 times to fix a messed up procedure, while all the while being told by this dentist that I didn't know what I was talking about, as if this isn't my body and I can't recognize same day issues. Then the dentist ended up fixing a whole different tooth from the one that I clearly explained was giving issues, because again, she's the professional and I'm just a person who is occupying this body with no sense or pain awareness, absolutely terrible.

Every single person - from the kind lady that scheduled my appointment, to the ladies at the front desk, and the dental team who evaluated me, took x-rays, and cleaned my teeth - were wonderful. I usually have anxiety when visiting the doctor and dentist, but here I felt calm, and my concerns were addressed. I highly recommend Neibauer Dental Care, and thank you so much!

I did not enjoy my experience here. The lady announced to the whole waiting room that I didn't have insurance, when I did. I experienced so much discomfort during my cleaning. They then charged me for a treatment that they didn't ask me if I wanted or notify me that it would cost extra. I left in tears and nobody seemed to care. I'm scheduled for another procedure but I'll be going somewhere else.
