Dr Swati Vellanki was born in India. While growing up in India she had ample exposure to people from different regions and backgrounds with her father serving as an officer in the Air Force. She attended KGF College of Dental Sciences in southern India and graduated top of her class, placing among the top 5 students from 40 dental schools in the state. She then spent some time in New Zealand before moving to the United States to attend the Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists at the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles. There she was trained by some of the best doctors and instructors in the field. While at USC she and her husband volunteered at underserved communities and the homeless shelter in Downtown Los Angeles. She is a member of the ADA, VDA, ADEA and AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) and is trained in CEREC and dental digital photography. She enjoys and takes great pride in her work with specific emphasis on minute details. Her passions include digital photography, painting, singing, traveling and learning different languages. She currently resides in Spotsylvania with her husband Ravi, who is a Software Engineer.
Dentistry is about the patients and making sure they receive top knotch care. All treatments that I perform have the same goal: improving the patient's quality of life whether that is esthetics or in disease.
My mission in dentistry is to continuously improve myself as both a leader and a clinician. I seek to provide the best possible care for my patients and be a leader that leads from the front instead of from the back.

Dr. Sun and his staff are the nicest and most professional organization I have dealt with in all my years going to a dentist. From cleanings to inserting crowns, Dr. Sun makes sure you are at ease and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. You are treated like a VIP from the moment that you walk in, until you leave their building. I highly recommend Dr. Sun for any dental needs. I would also like to give credit to Nicole, one of his hygienist, for making you feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire Dental process.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Son was nice but rubbed me wrong with a few things, could just be me. Office was clean and we were 5 min late (due to our hour commute) and they didn't take long to get us into the back. Overall good experience and if we had not moved out of the area we would most likely return.

I had gotten the run around from Southpoint "Quality" Dental as well as the VA while trying to get a problem tooth fixed or removed. I was in a great deal of pain and could barely sleep. Southpoint Quality took 24 hours to even return a message. My wife got me in with Neibauer Dental care and they were nothing but professional, courteous and showed genuine concern in every aspect of my care including billing and insurance. They took care of me and kept me fully informed throughout the process. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

I had a great first visit at Neibauer. When I came in I mentioned that I was on a time crunch and they worked quickly to get me in and seen quickly. All of the staff were incredibly friendly-there was a girl in training working alongside one of the assistants and you could tell she was so excited to learn and kept apologizing for taking a bit longer-absolutely no need to apologize! She was the sweetest young lady ever and makes me happy that they are training new hires and letting them get hands on experience. The doctor I was assigned to (Dr. V) was very knowledgeable and kind-I enjoyed talking to her. Great experience and a great practice.

Dr. V and her assistants, including the office staff, are INCREDIBLE!! They have a way of welcoming my entire family, putting us at ease, taking great care of our teeth and always going above and beyond to answer questions. My husband started going to this group in June 2022, he has moderate periodontal disease and needed several filings. With that being said he had a filling on number 9 which has fell out twice. They informed me on the phone because the other one fell out 1 1/2 weeks later it's our problem and we have to pay to have it fixed again, the first time it was within 24hrs. We didn't get that first repair fixed until a month later because they were booked. Then it fell out again in August after fixing it then end of July. Then she explained how that's typical with front teeth, which is absolutely false. Then she tried to blame it on a tongue ring when my husband took it out back in early June with their recommendations. So we canceled our appointment after being told you'll probably be charged for canceling. Wow all I can say. What great business practices.

This is only the second time I came to Niebauer dental, on both occasions it was an emergency for me and I was seen. On 8/19/22 I went to the dentist in PAIN, my regular dentist wanted to send me to Short Pump Va, I went to Niebauer at 1230 no appt (walk-in) was seen and treated out the door by 2:45. This office is very friendly and professional. WAS IN PAIN WHEN I GOT THERE, AFTER BEING TREATED I FEEL GREAT.
