I had a complicated extraction. When he saw on the Xray that it might be difficult he arranged to have more time for my appointment. Of course it wasn't fun. But Dr. Phillips and his staff did his best to keep me comfortable. I was impressed that he personally called to check on me that evening. He and his staff are concerned with the whole patent, not just dental work.

The worst staff to deal with. We went for a consultation in January. My daughter's top front teeth are impacted and pointing at a 90 degree angle and in need of exposure so the orthodontist can work with the teeth. After the consultation an appointment was set for the end of April. I received a call 3 days prior to her surgery stating that the insurance denied payment for the procedure. After speaking with the insurance and Donna (the lady in charge of contacting insurance), it turns out that all she did was call the 1800 number give some codes and left it at that. The insurance company let me know that our insurance is not based on codes but that they need a narrative and x-rays. Also, it would take 10-14 days to approve the predetermination. I quickly informed Donna of this immediately and of course had to reschedule the surgery for the end of May. This would have been plenty of time but when I contacted Donna on May 4th she had still not submitted the predetermination. I was called today to be informed that I needed to make a payment toward the surgery since they have not received a preapproval from the insurance company. I was told several times by the office manager that the claim was submitted on the 4th. Not the first lie I had been told about Donna's work in filing. After speaking with my insurance company the claim was actually submitted on the 11th and of course the 10-14 days will be after the scheduled surgery. I very calmly tried to explain the situation to the office manager and the frustrations I have been dealing with but instead of being concerned with my daughter's needs, she just kept stating that the claim was submitted on the 4th and since there has been no response from the insurance company, I need to pay or cancel the appointment. THIS is not customer service. Donna was quick in the beginning to inform me that she has been doing this for 30 years and she knows how to deal with insurance companies but instead I had to do the calling and find out what needed to be done. An office manager should listen the needs and concerns of clients but that is not how Dr. Phillips office works. Even if I have to pay for my daughter's surgery, it will not be to this office.

Couldn't of asked for a better experience, Im 19 so this was my first procedure without my parents being with me. While i was getting my wisdom teeth removal surgery they coordinated everything with my girlfriend and they made everything post op very easy for us. The staff is very helpful and I would recommend dr jones.

Dr W JONES Phillips is fantastic! He extracted my daughter's wisdom teeth and a few days ago, my son's wisdom teeth. The staff is extremely nice, respectful of time, and very thorough about aftercare instructions. I recommend them highly!

Dr.Phillips was so calming and reassuring. I was nervous having my wisdom teeth removed as I am in my 30s and have 2 small children to care for. I could not of had a better experience. I was comfortable for the entire procedure and surprised that he personally calls all his patients the night of the surgery to check on them.

Staff was very friendly and Dr Roberts is awesome. He made sure I was comfortable during a whole extraction surgery. His nurse was great and both very caring. Talk about taking your work home with you. He called to check on me later that night. I've never had that happen. He took my sons wisdom teeth out 15 years ago and did the same thing. I'd recommend him to everyone.

Website is NOT accurate. They do NOT take Humana Dental as it states on their website! You may want to verify before wasting your time. Also, Gainesville is misspelled in the bottom left. :)

Dr. Phillips removed all 4 of my son's impacted wisdom teeth. He was wonderful answering all of his questions. The staffed checked in with us during the surgery to let us know everything was going well. My son did great, we could hardly even tell he had his wisdom teeth removed. Amazing doctor and wonderful staff!!!

Dr. W. Jones Phillips is a is very talented and professional of the highest caliber in performing oral surgery, he made sure I understood all that was going to be done. I was treated with the upmost care and professionalism. His attention to detail was exceptional and his concern for my well being was genuine. From the consultation appointment, to the surgery itself, extracted the roots of a tooth which fractured in another office, to take the time in the evening to personally make a follow-up phone call to check on any problems, provided a lot of information after-care instructions very helpful. I had very little discomfort, in fact I did not need any pain meds. My healing was quick & without any complications. Overall great surgeon and person! I cannot possibly thank him and his staff enough.

Please note that this review does not reflect the quality of service of the surgeon, but of the staff. My wife called in advance of my daughter having wisdom teeth extracted in order to confirm a payment plan. Donna confirmed we could pay installments until the total was paid, and afterwards my wife consulted with me on amount and due date. My wife called back and left a message when no one answered, requesting a call back. When my wife arrived and they'd taken my daughter back for surgery, Donna explained that half was due today. My wife, confused, mentioned the phone call and the confirmation of payment plan. The ladies up front managed to embarrass her by indiscreetly pointing out that they don't do payment plans, and Donna said she never said they do. We ended up paying half, because my wife was told if she left without paying half, we would be charged also a no-show fee. At this point it was too late to do anything else. So I get that people make mistakes. If this was a mistake, it should have been recognized and accounted for. My wife could have accepted that a mistake was made, even if they didn't honor the details of that mistake. Owning that mistake would have been the classy and respectable thing to do. My wife didn't create details from her imagination while on the phone and write them down on a notepad, she wrote them down as Donna confirmed them on the phone. I also yield the possibility that it was more a misunderstanding than a mistake, in which case a simple, discreet conversation would have been appreciated, rather than a public scene featuring our request for financial consideration. All this is to say that while the surgeon is not the focus of this review, it may be prudent to fully confirm all details concerning appointment and payment, and hope that the staff is held accountable not only for phone conversations, but also office conduct.
