I love what I do!Being a dentist excites me because I get to connect with the people of my community in a way that meets their needs and improves their lives. I push myself and my team by learning new methods, bringing faster and more comfortable care at an affordable price. Being a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society are great, but what I am most proud of are the many 5 star reviews we receive from the people we serve.
I grew up west of San Antonioand moved to Needville in 1992. I graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2000, and in 2001, I started Needville Family Dentistry on Hwy 36 within my community.
I have a wonderful husband, Cory, and five amazing children, Taylor and her husband, Jarrod, Cortney, Kate, and Cody. I am an active member of First Baptist Church of Needville, serving as a board member at First Academy preschool, and a volunteer with both missions and youth ministry. When I am not at work or taking continuing education, I love to spend time with my family traveling, hiking, snow skiing, or just hanging out.
In 2019, I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Kampala, Uganda and serve a new community alongside Hope Speaks. I provided health services and education to the families of children with special needs. Hope Speaks is a wonderful non-profit organization in the work of transforming communities to be places where people with disabilities are celebrated and families are living to their fullest potential. It was an eye-opening and life-changing experience, and I hope to go back soon!

I usually HATE going to the dentist with a burning passion, but going to Needville Family Dentistry was about as enjoyable as any as dentist visit can be. They have state of the art equipment and excellent technique coupled with amazing customer service! Everyone was incredibly friendly and made the experience pleasant. I don't think I'll ever truly enjoy going to the dentist, but if you're trying to be a responsible adult and take care of yourself, NFD made the experience as possible as possible! Highly recommended!

I was visiting the area and unfortunately got hit by a fence and broke my tooth. I had an absolutely amazing experience here- the staff was so kind, and my dentist was not only super sweet but did an amazing job fixing my tooth. They had great accommodations (blankets?? Netflix??? and more. Incredible). I have struggled with going to the dentist since the time my baby teeth grew in (seriously I had to go through so many dentists because I would. Not. Open my mouth). I can't imagine how much my relationship with dental hygiene would've changed if I had a Needville Family Dentistry around. Anyway now I'm back up in Boston looking for a dentist, and man do I miss this place. Makes me wish I could book a flight back to come here. For a dentist's appointment! Wild. 100/10

The fact that my kids actually LIKE going to the dentist is awesome!! And I don't mind going either. Such awesome staff, hygienists, and dentists! Everything is always so calming and they explain everything and let you know the costs ahead of time so there is no surprises!!

Very compassionate staff and Dr. Kunkle is very patient and takes the time to explain recommendations and listens to patient concerns. Made extra efforts to accommodate my husband's special physical needs to keep him comfortable and reduce his anxiety.

As always, NDF is a great place to be for dental health and hygiene. I made my appointment for cleaning despite a very bad back pain issue. My hygienist made sure I was completely comfortable before starting. She even found an ice pack for my back! Now, people, that is a caring place to be...they take the same great care when it's your mouth too!

I met very nice, caring people, who were very professional in my dental care. They have many new technologies to enhance my dental care. I actually knew family of 2 employees. I met Dr. Kunkell, who took care of my filling replacement. Liked her so much.

I started with Needville Family Dentistry in 2008, and have been a happy customer ever since. I've had a variety of dental services performed and have been very pleased with each visit. All features of service have been provided with a personal touch, waiting times have been minimal, and all dental services provided with my long term dental needs always addressed.
