Dr. Nandita Kapoor is an honors graduate from Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, she was accepted into the accelerated program for Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), and also invited to be a teaching assistant. She also holds her Bachelor of Dental Science degree from BRS Dental College in India.
Prior to starting her own practice, Dr. Kapoor had a prominent career working in general and multi-specialty practices in Newton, Lexington and West Roxbury. She is highly respected among her peers and patients for her comprehensive and highly personalized approach to dental care.
Dr. Kapoor continues to update her skills through advanced dental education programs at nationally recognized universities and institutes, including Pankey Institute, Tufts, Boston University and Frank Spears Institute. Dr. Kapoor recently attended courses in restorative and implant dentistry, occlusion and endodontics. She has dedicated her professional career to learning and providing the best dental care to her patients.
She believes in providing compassionate care and developing long-lasting relationships with her patients. Nandita is an active member of the American Dental Society and the Massachusetts Dental Society. She spends her free time traveling with her family, tending to her young kids and supporting local charitable organizations for children.
Dr. Avi Shainhouse was born in Canada and received his dental degree at the University of Western Ontario. He then continued his education in Periodontics and Implant dentistry, receiving a specialist degree from New York University.
Dr. Shainhouse has been in practice for over 10 years and is Board Certified in both Canada and the United States. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Devika Kapoor graduated with Distinction from McGill University in 1997. She graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2001. Devika did her postgraduate degree in Endodontics at Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, graduating in 2003.
Devika is an extremely talented endodontist and is loved by her patients for her thoroughness and caring attitude. Her professional memberships include: American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr. Tang graduated with a dental degree from Tufts University Dental School and then completed a program in Advanced Dentistry from NYUs Dental School. She specializes in restorative, cosmetic and preventive dentistry. She loves serving her community, and has been part of Special Olympics Special Smiles, Bridge Over Troubled Water & Smile Squad. She speaks fluent Mandarin & conversational Japanese.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Kapoor and her staff. My husband and I have had our fair share of dental procedures, and we have always been more than satisfied; they absolutely care about their patients and they always go above and beyond. But the best part is that they are WONDERFUL with our two little boys!

The staff at Needham Dental is fantastic! I have had 4 visits so far and every time I call and interact with the staff and doctors it is a very friendly experience. Their annual plan for individuals without dental insurance is unreal, for about $250/yr you get 2 cleanings, X-rays, and etc for free plus on additional services. I highly recommend! Best dental experience I have had!

I was visiting Boston and one of the fillings came out. I called Needam Dental to see if they could give me an appointment. They were very helpful and asked me to come in right away. Dr. Kapoor and Dr. Priynka we're kind enough to fix my dental problem.

If you are having a toothache and needed extraction asap, Dr Shainhouse and Dan are the men you need in your life. Thankyou for being extra patient with me hearing my anxious tantrums. I have had just about every possible procedure you could have in the dental office. You really can't do better than Is Needham dental. Root canals, implants, extractions, gum problems, one of a kind issues that no 1 else can solve no problem. Doctor Kapoor and her staff also rescued my girlfriend from dental butchery at another establishment. I won't mention any names but it rhymes with Aspen. The staff is superb And their expertise Sublime.

Friendly staff. I felt secure that the dentist was well-qualified and capable, which is comforting when I am in the dentist-chair. I downgraded the review after I had dental work done. Not good follow-up care at all! And when pursuing help, the front desk people lost the initial friendliness that I had written about. I would not recommend this practice.

Other dental offices have left me traumatized with bad experiences. After lots of research, I found Needham Dental and decided to give them a try. Their staff was incredibly kind, gentle and comforting when I explained my past trauma. They listened to me and took my past experiences into account and made sure I was taken care of. I've been back a few times and have had nothing but great experiences. If you have anxiety in other dental offices, this is the place to be treated.
