Dr. Karen S. Neat is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry with a dental hygiene degree, a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a Master's of Science in Dentistry. This means that she is a dental specialist who has completed two years of specialty training in orthodontics in addition to four years of dental studies and two years in hygiene school. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Texas Dental Association, Southwest Society of Orthodontists and several other professional clubs and organizations. She attends many organizational meetings and training opportunities to utilize current technological advancements.
Dr. Neat and her husband are long-time residents and supporters of Allen and have raised four Neat children. They have four Neat grandchildren. As a long-time resident and businesswoman in Allen, she has watched many changes take place in this growing community and surrounding towns. Many of the beautiful smiles seen in Allen and the Collin County area have taken shape in her office.
We think you'll find that our entire staff conveys a sincere friendliness, helping you to feel comfortable about your visit from the moment you set foot in our office. Our staff works together as a team, each carrying out our individual roles while simultaneously supporting the others' efforts. Plus, we've worked together for years and have no plans to go elsewhere! Countless hours have been dedicated to continuing education and to keeping up-to-date on new techniques and products in order to provide state-of-the-art treatment for our patients. Each clinical assistant is a Registered Dental Assistant, having completed and maintained certificates in Radiology, Infection Control, Jurisprudence and CPR.

A great orthodontics experience! I had been bringing my 5 children to Dr. Neat for the past 15 years and then she retired and I was worried about the care my daughter would receive by the new doctors at Allen Orthodontics, but they were great! I would recommend them to anyone needing orthodontic care in Allen.

I love it here! The Doctors and staff are so wonderful! I always feel welcome and they are super down to earth. They genuinely care about us. Highly recommend them to everyone. Two of my children have already finished their braces. I'm in braces and I have another child who will be getting braces with them. If you are in need of orthodontics and want a place that won't treat you like a paycheck, come to Allen Orthodontics!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Allen Orthodontics is. They were flexible when I needed to reschedule and they were so kind and warm to me every time I came in the office. Dr. Jones and Dr. Hanson are great and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to get braces.

This is a wonderful practice. Dr. Jones and Dr. Hanson are warm and knowledgeable, and most importantly made me feel very comfortable. I went to Dr. Hanson to get a new retainer after having had Invisalign in college (old orthodontist retired). The scanner used to make my new retainer was so easy and painless, much more comfortable than making impressions the traditional way. Dr. Hanson and the staff answered all my questions, the process was so smooth that I felt I should have done this a long time ago! Highly recommend this group.

I had braces as a teenager and lost my retainer over 10 years ago. I put off getting a new one for so long, but Allen Orthodontics made it so easy I wish I had done it sooner. Dr. Hanson was so friendly and helpful, and the iTero scanner was awesome! It was so much more comfortable than the old mold type I've done in the past. Such a game changer! The staff was so nice and friendly, and they answered all my questions so I felt comfortable. Overall I had such a great experience!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I had made an appointment with Dr. Hanson for a new retainer after not wearing mine for several years, and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. The booking process was easy and the front desk was warm and welcoming. Dr. Hanson was an absolute gem! She was very kind, easygoing and calmed my nerves, as I hadn't been to the ortho since I was a teen. I also was a huge fan of the iTero scanner process -- comfortable, quick, and so much better than those old-school molds. I couldn't believe how easy the whole process was, and that I actually enjoyed getting dental work done. I HIGHLY recommend both Dr. Hanson and Allen Orthodontics!!!
