With so many technological marvels surrounding us every day, its easy to forget how far weve come in our communications, modes of travel, and even entertainment. The dental industry is no exception to this. In the past few years, weve adopted equipment and techniques that have revolutionized dentistry, making our jobs easier and your teeth healthier.
CT stands for computed tomology. This type of scan is used all over the medical field for its ability to give us a clear look inside the body. A dental CT scan can not only see much more than a traditional x-ray, but it uses a cone-shaped beam to do so. This shape allows us to get information from multiple angles, and not just flat images.
The shift to digital has made dentistry better than ever before. Weve successfully used both photographs and x-rays for many years, in order to get a clear look at the structures of your mouth and jaw. However, there have always been several drawbacks to this traditional technology.
For one thing, the film had to be sent off to a lab for development, then sent back to the dental office. This took time. If one of the images was blurry or adjusted wrong well, the whole process had to start over again.
Digitization has eliminated all of that. X-ray sensors and intraoral cameras can now send the images directly to the computer screen while youre still in the room. If the image is blurry or needs to be adjusted somehow, we can tell within seconds, and simply snap another shot.
Not only that, but we are no longer limited to flat images. 3D scanning allows us to get a complete model of your whole mouth scanned right into the computer. We can use that information to more comprehensively check your mouth for problems, as well as to design your dental appliances.
Lasers are quickly becoming popular in dentistry. These convenient tools allow us to interact with your soft tissues in more precise ways, during surgeries and procedures. They dont damage surrounding tissue, they make clean lines, and they can often reach places that are hard to access with a steel tool. All of this makes your procedures more efficient and your healing much, much quicker.

Dr. Johnson and his staff are amazing. They are all very friendly, professional, and have helped both my wife and myself with dental issues over the years. We just moved from Billings and we will miss seeing these friendly faces. Cannot recommend this office highly enough.

Dr. Johnson and his staff were amazing. I went in there for what I thought would be a simple root canal. After Dr. Johnson saw what he was up against (a previous dentist work) he and his staff stayed 2 hours late to make sure I was taken care of instead of turning me away. I'm very grateful.

We have been going to Dr. Johnson for years and he is fantastic! He has great bedside manner and his staff is friendly and attentive. He keeps my family's teeth clean and healthy. He recently helped me to get my few crooked teeth straightened out with Invisalign! I had never had braces as a teenager so I was a bit apprehensive but Neal was so helpful with his expert opinion and it put my mind at ease. He scanned my teeth, made recommendations and adjustments along the way to improve the alignment and bite and I am so happy with the results!!! I would highly recommend for routine dental work, cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign!

Edit: They did end up working with me and my insurance and refunded some of the money back. I do appreciate them going out of there way to work with me and right a wrong. Beautiful facility and caring staff. The customer service was great but after 2 appointments they just decided to tell me they don't work with Delta Dental and are now making me pay $500. I could've saved myself the money and went elsewhere and now I owe them money because of their negligence with not telling me my insurance wouldn't work. I am very upset and angry with this business.

Dr Johnson made my life whole again I had a denture made from a previous dentist a few years back I refused to smile because they looked awful didn't fit right .A couple months ago I seen Dr Johnson so I could get a new set of dentures I am here to tell you Dr Johnson made my new teeth and they fit so well And now for the first time in years I am smiling again I can look in the mirror again thank you Dr Johnson for making that possible I feel like a new person and fhats all because of you Thank you and I would recommend Dr Johnson to everyone he is awesome. I have been seeing Dr. Johnson for a few years now. He has meticulous attention to detail and an expert eye at identifying current and potential problems with teeth. I like that he is able to explain his assessment of my teeth so that I understand and create a treatment plan to address those needs. Dr. Johnson is very transparent and skilled at what he does.

I've been seeing Dr. Neal Johnson for 20 years. He is family friendly and he gets to know his patients which is a welcoming feeling. He is very professional, courteous, and genuinely cares about his patients. My family all sees him as well and we are pleased with his dental practice. The staff are always friendly and caring. Dr. Johnson is friendly and immediately puts me at ease when I come in. I feel like he is efficient, competent, honest and thorough as a dentist. His assistants are all equally friendly and accommodating. The receptionist is particularly nice and acts like she remembers me every time I come in. (Can it be? She sure makes me feel good, in any case!) It's a great environment, and they take good care of my dental needs.
