Nayaug Family Dental has been providing dental care to South Glastonbury and the surrounding communities for over 40 years. In 1980 Dr. Brain Chiffer began a proud tradition of providing top quality care, and that tradition continues today with Dr. Sidra Yaseen.
Our patients have been coming to us for generations. Our youngest patients are a year old and our oldest are in their 90s, and we provide all of them with the same excellent care tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
Dr. Sidra Yaseen grew up in Southern California and attended the University of Southern California, where she received her Bachelors degree in Biology. She then went on to the prestigious University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, the nations only accelerated dental school. She completed a General Practice Residency at the Staten Island University Hospital. She practiced in Philadelphia for a couple of years before moving to Connecticut with her husband, a Glastonbury native.
Dr. Yaseen lives in South Glastonbury with her husband and two sons. She enjoys coffee, trying new restaurants, watching lots of TV and movies, traveling, and spending time with her family. She dislikes mushrooms, olives, and messy spaces.

Dr Yaseen and her staff are amazing! From the check in at the door to the cleaning by the hygienist it is a wonderful experience! We actually look forward to dental visits and recommend Nayaug Family Dental to all our family and friends.

Do you want $10,000 in unexpected dental bills after a botched crown replacement? Then this is the place for you! After Dr. Yassin replaced a perfectly functional crown on my front top tooth that I had for over a decade (replaced for aesthetic reasons), it became infected within a month resulting in a failed root canal, tooth extraction, two bone grafts, a post, another crown and over 30 x-rays in one year. Since this falls under the same category of operation that caused this problem in the first place under Nayaug Family Dental's care, most of this is not covered by my insurance. During the almost now two-year healing process, I've had to wear an incredibly inconvenient flipper retainer while the TWO bone grafts and post healed. Nayaug Family Dental & Dr. Yassin claim this is just coincidental but tell me how it's coincidental that the very tooth you operated on a month prior became infected so quickly? I have reached out about help in this now almost two year, $10,000+ nightmare and all I get is a "good luck we wish you the best". I went to the previous Dentist there, Dr. Brian Chiffer (who retired and sold the practice to Dr. Yassin) for 15+ years - he would have never treated his patients with such contempt and lack of empathy. I should have known better when I first went in for a "cavity" filling (wasn't even a cavity so I was told after the fact) and immediately resulted in intense pain to temperature and pressure. Almost two years later, I'm still dealing with that same pain because after getting two other opinions on the matter, the only option is to extract the tooth that was perfectly fine prior to Dr. Yassin drilling into it while she inattentively chatted with her dental assistant during the procedure, as they did every time I went in. I hesitated in writing this review because I don't like speaking bad of anyone, but I cannot let others experience the same treatment as I have. I'm 24 years old with $10,000+ in unexpected dental bills and an almost two-year nightmare that are the direct result of Dr. Yassin and Nayaug Family Dental's "care". There are plenty of other experienced dentists in the area, call them instead.

'Never thought I'd look forward to going to the dentist. But now my wife and I (almost) do! The care at Nayaug Family Dental is so personal and humane, but they don't sacrifice competence to keep it there. We don't have dental insurance, so we love the cash plan (with appropriate discounts) that NFD offers. We're happy campers.

Dentist and I had a discussion about whether or not to proceed with a crown. She suggested that since there was no tooth beneath the tooth, she advised that the should be extracted. Good decision.
