NAY orthodontics is an in-network PPO provider for Aetna, Ameritas, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Metlife, and UnitedHealthcare. We also accept out-of-network PPO plans and offerCareCredit financing or an interest-free in-house option. Discounts are also available for select candidates.
We serve coffee, tea, and water in our waiting room as our overhead televisions play your favorite movies and television series. You can also stay entertained using our Wi-Fi, but dont get too comfortablewe aim to see our patients and get their treatment underway in a timely fashion.
Our team strives to accommodate the busy schedules of students, mothers, and working adults. We are sensitive to the time constraints these patients may be under and do what we can to provide them with ample opportunities to receive the dental care they deserve. If they are ready, new patients can be scheduled for their initial exam and begin treatment with Dr. Nay on the same day.

Dr. Robert B. Nay is devoted to transforming smiles and renewing confidence. His goal is to provide the best possible care and an enjoyable experience while creating a timeless smile that you will wear proudly! His introduction to dentistry began abruptly when he lost his two front teeth in a bicycle accident. Guess what he requested for Christmas that year? As a tween, he began orthodontic treatment to correct overcrowding and misaligned teeth. It was then that he developed a passion for the mechanics of orthodontics as he witnessed how the braces, wires, and elastics worked together to transform his tooth alignment and bite, which then simplified the process of brushing and flossing. Having gone through extensive orthodontic treatment himself as a patient and now as a parent, he understands the process from the patient, parent, and doctor standpoint.
Service to Our CountryDr. Nay served as a Major in the United States Army and was stationed in both San Antonio, Texas and Stuttgart, Germany from 2004 until 2007. He provided comprehensive and limited orthodontic treatment to over 250 soldiers and their family members of the Stuttgart military community and the NATO school in Garmisch. For his meritorious service to our country, he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal.
On a Personal NoteDr. Nay is a native of Pittsburghand a die-hard Steelers Fan. Yes, he loves Pramanti Brothers, owns a Terrible Towel, and has referred to others as 'Yins'. He grew up playing baseball, basketball, and football all the way into high school. Considered by many to be ESPNs #1 fan, he continues to be active with sporting events and coaches youth soccer and basketball. Having an eclectic taste in music, he enjoys listening to bluegrass and reggae music, but his favorite will always be U2. His love of travel resulted in many amazing experiences through multiple backpacking journeys abroad and living in Germany. Morrisville 's tradition of respect for diversity, celebration of unique cultures, and award-winning schools are some of the many reasons that lead Dr. Nay to choose this location for his orthodontic practice.
In his spare time, Dr. Nay and his wife Lisa, keep active by venturing out with their three young children Von, Sullivan, and Jelena creating new experiences and memories for them, whether it be visiting the beach or a museum to picking strawberries from the local farm. While sports keep the family busy, extravagant tea parties with his daughter are never forgotten. Dr. Nay and his family frequent the variety of delicious cuisines and community events that Morrisville has to offer, with the East Meets West Festival being one of their favorites.
Lisa is Dr. Nays wife and the Business Manager of the practice. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania prior to attending Pennsylvania College of Technology/Pennsylvania State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management with a Minor in Business Administration. She invested in orthodontic treatment as a gift to herself once graduating from college and knows firsthand just how rewarding a confident smile can be. She enjoys working collaboratively with Dr. Nay, to pursue their dream of providing beautiful smiles to patients. Lisa loves spending time with her family, attending community events with friends and traveling near and far. She loves most being a mother to their three children: Von, Sullivan, and Jelena.
Cindyis a Wake County native with over 17 years combined clinical, administrative, and marketing experience in the orthodontic field. She looks forward to welcoming you into our practice and strives to make your orthodontic journey a breeze from the start. She also helps our patients find a financial option that works best for them and their orthodontic treatment. She enjoys coming to work for such an incredible doctor and friendly staff with decades of orthodontic experience. Julia is originally from the lovely Bavarian portion of Germany and started working in the orthodontic profession in 1998, completing her dental assisting degree in 2001. She loves the hands-on-aspect and enjoys the clinical portion of helping our patients. Julia is also well-trained in various positions throughout the office, so you may see her helping our patients all over. Julia became a resident of the United States in 2010 and relocated to Raleigh from Pennsylvania in 2011 where she is now raising her two beautiful boys.
Julia has been making patients feel like family and being of part of enhancing their smile with NAY orthodontics since 2013. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones and friends along with cooking and especially baking sweet treats. Julia is passionate about organic health and always has our office smelling great with her essential oils.
Brandy is proud to be a NC native, born and raised in charming Chatham county. She graduated from her hometown certified Dental Assisting school in 2014 and feels privileged to work in the orthodontic profession alongside Dr. Nay and our team. Improving your smile can be life changing and Brandy loves to help our patients love their smile.
Brady is a true Tarheel fan and absolutely loves our beautiful state of North Carolina. When you see Brandy, you can be assured to get her southern hospitality with a giggle. She married her high-school sweetheart and has 2 precious daughters and 3 mini dachshunds. In her free time, she will be at the softball field with her girls, at the beach, doing home projects, or snuggling with her pups.
Catherine has been working within the dental field since 2012. She starting in orthodontics, while in high school as a summer sterilization technician. Catherine has truly fallen in love with the field and enjoys helping patients improve their smile. Catherine is the first person to greet you and strives to make your visit exceptional. She is a highly skilled multi-tasker that keeps our office organized and scheduled properly.
In her free time she travels, gardens, bakes and spends time with her family, who are her whole world. Catherine has several reptiles, which include bearded dragons, gecko, scorpion and tree frogs and she would love to have even more.
Jenn is originally from Whitney Point, New York and spent 8 years in the prestigious US Airforce. She, her daughter and family relocated to North Carolina in 2018 for the amazing milder winters.She received her NC dental assistant license in 2020 and joined NAY orthodontics as an intern that same year
She loves watching our patients Smile transformation. The finished, radiant, healthy NAY smiles are one in a million and she loves them all. On the weekends, you will find her at the dog park hanging with her furry child, Franky. Jenn also loves traveling, hiking, and rocks as a competitive body builder. Her biggest challenge is creating the perfect keto treat to satisfy her coworkers sweet tooth.
