From the moment patients call our office, our team provides dedicated care. We gather insurance information ahead of time to help patients navigate their policy and receive the most from their benefits. NAY orthodontics is an in-network PPO provider for Aetna, Ameritas, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Metlife, and UnitedHealthcare. We also accept out-of-network PPO plans and offerCareCredit financing or an interest-free in-house option. Discounts are also available for select candidates.
We serve coffee, tea, and water in our waiting room as our overhead televisions play your favorite movies and television series. You can also stay entertained using our Wi-Fi, but dont get too comfortablewe aim to see our patients and get their treatment underway in a timely fashion.
Our team strives to accommodate the busy schedules of students, mothers, and working adults. We are sensitive to the time constraints these patients may be under and do what we can to provide them with ample opportunities to receive the dental care they deserve. If they are ready, new patients can be scheduled for their initial exam and begin treatment with Dr. Nay on the same day.
We are thankful to our patients for allowing us to conduct their orthodontic treatment. As a small token of our appreciation, we conduct contests every month to award patients who exhibit consistent effort in improving their smile with us. You can also find our team actively participating in our community by taking part in local health fairs and career days.
Our orthodontist serving Morrisville and Cary is a member of several professional dental associations such as the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Southern Association of Orthodontists (SAO), Raleigh/Wake County Dental Society (RWCDS) and North Carolina - South Carolina Damon Study Club. Additionally, we work with Total Medical Compliance (TMC) to assure our office meets the standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Infection Control.
Dr. Robert B. Nay is devoted to transforming smiles and renewing confidence. His goal is to provide the best possible care and an enjoyable experience while creating a timeless smile that you will wear proudly! His introduction to dentistry began abruptly when he lost his two front teeth in a bicycle accident. Guess what he requested for Christmas that year? As a tween, he began orthodontic treatment to correct overcrowding and misaligned teeth. It was then that he developed a passion for the mechanics of orthodontics as he witnessed how the braces, wires, and elastics worked together to transform his tooth alignment and bite, which then simplified the process of brushing and flossing. Having gone through extensive orthodontic treatment himself as a patient and now as a parent, he understands the process from the patient, parent, and doctor standpoint.
Service to Our CountryDr. Nay served as a Major in the United States Army and was stationed in both San Antonio, Texas and Stuttgart, Germany from 2004 until 2007. He provided comprehensive and limited orthodontic treatment to over 250 soldiers and their family members of the Stuttgart military community and the NATO school in Garmisch. For his meritorious service to our country, he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal.
On a Personal NoteDr. Nay is a native of Pittsburghand a die-hard Steelers Fan. Yes, he loves Pramanti Brothers, owns a Terrible Towel, and has referred to others as 'Yins'. He grew up playing baseball, basketball, and football all the way into high school. Considered by many to be ESPNs #1 fan, he continues to be active with sporting events and coaches youth soccer and basketball. Having an eclectic taste in music, he enjoys listening to bluegrass and reggae music, but his favorite will always be U2. His love of travel resulted in many amazing experiences through multiple backpacking journeys abroad and living in Germany. Morrisville 's tradition of respect for diversity, celebration of unique cultures, and award-winning schools are some of the many reasons that lead Dr. Nay to choose this location for his orthodontic practice.
In his spare time, Dr. Nay and his wife Lisa, keep active by venturing out with their three young children Von, Sullivan, and Jelena creating new experiences and memories for them, whether it be visiting the beach or a museum to picking strawberries from the local farm. While sports keep the family busy, extravagant tea parties with his daughter are never forgotten. Dr. Nay and his family frequent the variety of delicious cuisines and community events that Morrisville has to offer, with the East Meets West Festival being one of their favorites.
Lisa is Dr. Nays wife and the Business Manager of the practice. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania prior to attending Pennsylvania College of Technology/Pennsylvania State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management with a Minor in Business Administration. She invested in orthodontic treatment as a gift to herself once graduating from college and knows firsthand just how rewarding a confident smile can be. She enjoys working collaboratively with Dr. Nay, to pursue their dream of providing beautiful smiles to patients. Lisa loves spending time with her family, attending community events with friends and traveling near and far. She loves most being a mother to their three children: Von, Sullivan, and Jelena.
Cindyis a Wake County native with over 17 years combined clinical, administrative, and marketing experience in the orthodontic field. She looks forward to welcoming you into our practice and strives to make your orthodontic journey a breeze from the start. She also helps our patients find a financial option that works best for them and their orthodontic treatment. She enjoys coming to work for such an incredible doctor and friendly staff with decades of orthodontic experience. Seeing our patients' smiles and making a positive impact in their lives is so rewarding and the reason she loves her job. In her free time, you will normally find her around water...be it boating,kayaking, pool side, or hanging dockside at LakeGastonwith family and friends
Julia is originally from the lovely Bavarian portion of Germany and started working in the orthodontic profession in 1998, completing her dental assisting degree in 2001. She loves the hands-on-aspect and enjoys the clinical portion of helping our patients. Julia is also well-trained in various positions throughout the office, so you may see her helping our patients all over. Julia became a resident of the United States in 2010 and relocated to Raleigh from Pennsylvania in 2011 where she is now raising her two beautiful boys.
Julia has been making patients feel like family and being of part of enhancing their smile with NAY orthodontics since 2013. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones and friends along with cooking and especially baking sweet treats. Julia is passionate about organic health and always has our office smelling great with her essential oils.
Brandy is proud to be a NC native, born and raised in charming Chatham county. She graduated from her hometown certified Dental Assisting school in 2014 and feels privileged to work in the orthodontic profession alongside Dr. Nay and our team. Improving your smile can be life changing and Brandy loves to help our patients love their smile.
Brady is a true Tarheel fan and absolutely loves our beautiful state of North Carolina. When you see Brandy, you can be assured to get her southern hospitality with a giggle. She married her high-school sweetheart and has 2 precious daughters and 3 mini dachshunds. In her free time, she will be at the softball field with her girls, at the beach, doing home projects, or snuggling with her pups.
Catherine has been working within the dental field since 2012. She starting in orthodontics, while in high school as a summer sterilization technician. Catherine has truly fallen in love with the field and enjoys helping patients improve their smile. Catherine is the first person to greet you and strives to make your visit exceptional. She is a highly skilled multi-tasker that keeps our office organized and scheduled properly.
In her free time she travels, gardens, bakes and spends time with her family, who are her whole world. Catherine has several reptiles, which include bearded dragons, gecko, scorpion and tree frogs and she would love to have even more.
Jenn is originally from Whitney Point, New York and spent 8 years in the prestigious US Airforce. She, her daughter and family relocated to North Carolina in 2018 for the amazing milder winters.She received her NC dental assistant license in 2020 and joined NAY orthodontics as an intern that same year
She loves watching our patients Smile transformation. The finished, radiant, healthy NAY smiles are one in a million and she loves them all. On the weekends, you will find her at the dog park hanging with her furry child, Franky. Jenn also loves traveling, hiking, and rocks as a competitive body builder. Her biggest challenge is creating the perfect keto treat to satisfy her coworkers sweet tooth.

From the office mgr. explaining the cost & payments to me, to the assistants being so kind and down to earth!! Dr. Nay is all of that and then some. If you have children or if you are an adult in need of ortho tx, please try Dr. Nay. You will not be disappointed. Oh yeah, and if you want to look stylish..(HE DOES GOLD BRACES! YES! GOLD! My daughter likes Dr. Nay and the entire staff there. They are v professional and friendly at the same time. Clinic appears to be well equipped, pristine and modern. We are looking forward to the prescribed treatment and will update this review as time progresses. At this time, we highly recommend Dr. Nay for Orthodontic dental work.

Dr. Nay is diligent, thorough, detailed and comprehensive. He spent a good hour to explain and explore options on the complex of my husband traumatized case. Definitely it's worthy your time for a free consultation before you make your final decision of whom you will go for orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Nay and his staff are professional, speedy and have amazing manners! They are flexible, kind, warm and enthusiastic. Dr. Nay personally takes time to know you as a patient, even remembering small details from your hobbies to your favorite food. Workwise, he is quick and efficient, making sure you don't need to be there any longer than you need to! I went there as an adult after my first orthodontics treatment didn't pan out as expected. I was skeptical, but Dr. Nay worked his wonders and I got my smile back :) Naturally I took my child as well when his time came. Needless to say, we've not being disappointed.

Excellent - Friendly - Very Professional! What a great experience this was! Where do I begin?! Let me start by saying the excellent experience started with the first call I received to set up an appointment after my dentist had send a referral to the office of Dr. Nay. Codi was such a pleasure to talk to, very professional yet fun to chat with, and asked just the right questions to get me set up and in. The process online prior to the appointment was so easy and very self-explanatory! Then, the day of my first appointment I was welcomed with GENUINE warmth from the moment I stepped into the office until I left. Cindy took the time I needed to learn more about my orthodontic needs and goals. And just when I thought it could not get better, Dr. Nay himself proved that it could! He was very attentive to my questions, worries, and explained everything in detail, until he felt my mind was at ease. Which by the way, he did till my last appointment! The rest of the staff is just as lovely and attentive as Codi, Cindy, and Dr. Nay. Thank you Julia, for being such a fantastic dental assistant and taking care of me with such compassion! I felt excellently taken care of every step of the way, by every single person at Dr. Nay's orthodontic office. Not surprising, really, if you think about it he picks his staff, and since he is by far the best, there is no way they wouldn't be :) I was especially weary since this was my third time to get orthodontic treatment since my youth, the first being in a supposedly one of the best countries, Germany! This time we got it! My smile is perfect, my bite is as it should be, no more biting the inside of my cheeks, and all of that in an absolutely acceptable time frame. In fact shorter than I expected. So, if you or your child need the best care, compassion, and a professional orthodontist & staff that will take care of you/your child the best way possible, than THIS is the office to trust!

Strongly recommended. I am getting orthodontic care from California but had couple emergencies such as broken elastics and broken bracket. Dr. Nay and his staff was so caring and thorough to help to fix all that. While a lot of other offices not accepting transfer patient or offering emergency help during the COVID-19, he stepped up and helped out, which I greatly appreciated. He's not only your orthodontist but also treat you like a family member. From his background I can tell he's very good at taking care of transfer patients too!

09/25/2020: update. Where to start? About two weeks ago I began having severe tooth/mouth pain around two of my left-upper-rear teeth. These are my problem children and I am consistently breaking my wire near these two teeth. One of the two grew in 180 degrees out of rotation so Dr. Nay is working to properly align the tooth (no easy task). I noticed the pain began a few days after I noticed I broke my wire again. This is typical and generally I set up time with Dr. Nay's team to fit me with a new wire and the pain subsides in 24-48 hours after the new wire is in place. This time, however, I was not so lucky. 4 days after the new wire was put into place I was in excruciating pain. I couldn't focus, I needed to take off from work. My wife was frantic to try and find me some relief. We called Dr. Nay after hours on a friday. He came into the office after 8pm just to see me and provide what assistance he could. My upper pallet was swollen and we are now scheduled to see an endodontist to determine if my root may be bad or if there is an underlying abscess in the gum tissue. The point being, Dr. Nay went above and beyond to care for me. He could have easily pointed me to an emergency service and spent time with his family on a friday night, but instead took the time to work towards alleviating my immediate pain. You want the best? Here he is! You want an unbeatable staff? Jules and team can't be beat! You want a complete team that cares for you beyond the chair? This is the one. 02/10/2020: Been working with Nay for a year now. I raised my review from 4-star to 5-star. I have nothing but good feedback for Nay. Service, personnel, everything. Worth your time. Initial consultation was great. Had 180 degree X-ray completed free of charge. All the staff was great and worked with me. Only give 4 instead of 5 because I haven't had any real work done yet. Will update after my February appointment.

Amazing place, they helped me transition from my previous orthodontist in Canada when I moved, the experience was very smooth and friendly. They have done very well to minimize the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are looking for any orthodontic treatment I would no doubt recommend NAY Orthodontics.
