While on active duty I had the misfortune of being seeing here by the dental staff. The "dentist" I was assigned to was the worst dentist I've ever encountered. I had been seen by him a few times, each time he was pretty bad. The last time I got seen by him, I had a previous filling that had to be replaced. It was the most painful procedure I've ever had. He tried three separate times to numb my jaw but was unable to, although he did manage to numb everything above my jaw and, my left eye, and my forehead. I sat there while he drilled and I told him numerous times I was in a lot of pain and he just kind of shrugged it off. Looking back I should have requested someone else come in and try to numb me for the rest of the procedure. So it's two years later and I now have a cracked tooth on that exact tooth and I place the blame squarely on my dental care at this clinic. The active duty don't have much choice in their care and I feel their pain (literally). I also wrote an email complaining about this doctor but never heard back, so I'm assuming he's still working there and torturing other people.
