Dr. Kimberly Baer is a Maryland native, receiving both her Undergraduate in Biology and Doctoral in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, College Park. Since then, she has earned a Masters degree in Implantology from NYU in 2001, as well as Masters degrees in Biological Medicine & Toxicology, and Orthodontics. Dr. Baer is board certified in Naturopathic Medicine, and received her board certification in IV Anesthesia from Duquesne University in 2012. In 2001 Dr. Baer opened the doors to Natural Dentist Associates in North Bethesda, MD.
In addition to her degrees, Dr. Baer has received certifications in a multitude of areas, including Ceramic Implantology with Swiss Dental Solutions in Switzerland, Airway Dentistry with Dr. Felix Liao, Hal Huggins Biological Dentistry, and Epigenetic Growth Appliance Therapy. She is a certified fellow with the IAOMT, and continues to expand her education through regular seminars, conferences, and continued education courses.
Dr. Baer is extremely passionate about providing quality dental care that does not compromise overall health, offering her patients a dental experience that is free from toxins, BPA, fragrances, and fluoride. Dr. Baers areas of expertise include IV sedation dentistry, and alternative services like ozone therapy, safe amalgam filling removal, dental materials testing, natural orthodontics, laser dentistry, and non-metal zirconia SDS ceramic dental implants. She built her biological dental practice with a strong emphasis on non-reactive andbio-friendly materials, always staying current with the newest dental innovations especially those that are evidence-based and emphasize biocompatibility.
Dr. Baer volunteers a great deal of her time to Kids International and Healthcare International, where she spends an average of 8-12 weeks each year providing dentistry in countries that have limited access to dental care. She also volunteers locally, providing dental treatment to Holocaust Survivors and refugees. In her free time, you can find Dr. Baer training for her next marathon or hanging with her two children and their rescue pups, Juniper and George.
Dr. Jennifer Tipograph is a native Washingtonian. She received her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. After completing her degree at Virginia Tech, Dr. Tipograph began working with Natural Dentist Associates as a dental assistant. While working under Dr. Kimberly Baer, she developed a deep passion for holistic dentistry and treating the body as a whole. Following her apprenticeship as a holistic dental assistant, she attended Howard University College of Dentistry, where she graduated third (and first female!) in her class, earning her degree as Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Following college, Dr. Tipograph has continued her education extensively by becoming an accredited provider with the International Academy Of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT) and earning her certification in the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART). She is specially trained in growth appliance therapy, and is certified to provide treatment using both the DNA and ALF growth appliances, as well as Invisalign. Dr. Tipograph is experienced in all stages of the dental implant process, including tooth extraction, natural bone grafting, placement of both titanium and metal-free zirconia implants, with full restorations. She stays up-to-date with the latest advances in dentistry through regular dental conferences, continuing education courses, and seminars.
Dr. Tipograph enjoys working with patients of all ages, and has extensive experience providing holistic dental treatment to children and infants. She provides a wide range of dental services while maintaining a holistic and natural approach in all her treatments, including ozone therapy, the use of non-toxic and biocompatible materials, and natural remedies for effective healing and pain relief.
Dr. Tipograph dedicates her time to manyorganizations, includingthe Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) where she provides dental treatment to Holocaust survivors, and Mission of Mercy where she provides dental care and oral health education to the local underserved community. She enjoys traveling overseas to volunteer with Kids International Dental Services (KIDS) and HealthCare International (HCI). Additionally, Dr. Tipograph is on the board of the localAlpha Omegachapter, where she oversees and fabricates the monthly newsletter. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Tipograph enjoys exercising and spending time with her husband, two children, and their rescue pup Rosie.
Dr. Ashley Brown graduated with a degree in Biology from McDaniel College. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the esteemed Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Dr. Brown excelled at Meharry, receiving many awards and honors. She graduated in the top 5% of her class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
After dental school, Dr. Brown gained years of knowledge and experience providing holistic dental care to patients of all ages before finding her home here at Natural Dentist Associates. She is an incredibly valuable addition to the NDA team, with her soothing chairside manner, attention to detail, and comprehensive treatment planning skills. Dr. Brown fully embraces the holistic philosophy and appreciates providing quality dental care without sacrificing whole-body health.
Dr. Brown is a SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) certified dentist by the IAOMT and continues to broaden her scope of practice through regular continuing education courses. She completed her training in implantology at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where she now serves as Deans Faculty.
Dr. Brown is respected by all, not only for her professional achievements, but her clinical skills and extensive volunteerism in dentistry. She is an active member of the Holistic Dental Association, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and other various dental associations. When not providing exceptional dental care to her patients, Dr. Brown enjoys traveling, reading, music, and spending time with family and friends.
