If I could give this place a negative star I would. I've been here a few times mainly for teeth cleaning never had a great experience but nothing negative unless having to wait past my appointment time constitutes as a bad experience. I scheduled an appointment several weeks ago confirming a date where I could get both teeth cleaning and fillings done during the same visit. I received a call today confirming my appointment for tomorrow and to call back to confirm or cancel. I'm glad I called because the voicemail only mentioned my appointment for fillings. Not only did they fail to mention the dental hygienist who was supposed to do my cleaning is going to be out sick (I should be thankful she's not there if she's sick) but they also failed to try to find another dental hygienist to do this in her place or at minimum simply say: "We're sorry we can't clean your teeth and do the fillings would you like to still come in or re-schedule?"

The people at National Dental are very caring and careful. I've only had good experiences with them. I have dental insurance that's not covered by them, and I still pay out if pocket since I know it's worth it.

This is one of those medical places that want to milk you. When you schedule a procedure, make sure you tell them to do all at once (if the procedure is a small thing) For example, if they going to clean cavities and fill them in, tell them to do all the teeth at once. Otherwise they're going to do one tooth per appointment, which will make your insurance coverage run out and you'll start paying out of pocket. The drill that they used on me to remove the tartar still smelled like someone else's mouth. Had to tell the guy to clean it thoroughly before using. I hate their dishonest practice doing the work little by little. I had a good insurance when i came here and they manage to make me pay for the last few visits.

I was generally happy coming here up until my most recent appointment (August 2021). I have been seeing a dentist since I was a child, 2x a year, as recommended. I have been going here since February. When I first came here in, I had a pleasant experience with the dentist. Yesterday and today left me with a very uneasy feeling. After confirming if my teeth were better since the last visit, I was then offered a $45 fluoride treatment which I have never been offered in my 30 years+ of going to the dentist, including my last visit with this team. I was given the treatment comped after discussion as a courtesy because I had expressed an uneasiness if I was being upsold. While I appreciated this, I later looked online if this was a common upsell tactic and looked at verified article sources along with checking more raw reddit testimonials. The common theme showed this is very common upselling, and likely unnecessary. I then later looked up dental grade fluoride treatment on shopping sites, including amazon, and a 50 pack is sitting on the site for $47 vs a 1 time application for $45 in office. I contacted the office privately and told them I was uneasy about that interaction due to what I found and later was contacted by the manager. He gave me some background as to why it was recommended, but the standards to qualify for the recommendation were very low bar, and then was met with a spiel about how qualified his staff was. I honestly left this conversation feeling like my concerns were downplayed and explained away by how qualified his team was vs. an empathetic tone. The argumentative tone I was met with was a complete 180 from the rest of the team. I will not be returning and will be going to a different dentist.

National Dental is the best dentist in Queens. They're friendly, professional, and quick. Yelena was my dental hygienist and she was great. She was thorough and very personable. I would recommend to anyone living near Sunnyside.

My wife had a filling done here and was not told at time of service that it was not covered at the normal rate by insurance. We got a mystery bill in the mail and had to spend hours trying to figure out what the charge was for. They admitted their mistake but refused to rectify the charge. The office manager Mohammed threatened us with sending our bill to collections. Corporate billing basically admitted to medical extortion saying that 'if the procedure was necessary, she would have it anyways' to explain why cost of the procedure was not explained before the service. In addition to this, the wait times are long, the communication is poor and service is unreliable (my wife once waited in a doctor's room for 45 minutes only for the dentist not to show up). Avoid at all costs.

They are liars , say one thing and than say another. They make you wait long times for your appointments . Very unprofessional, especially the front desk. I wouldnt come here again

I have a 4 month old so scheduling any kind of appointments requires tremendous effort. I got to my 10am appointment on time. This appointment was confirmed via text and when I went in I was told they had it incorrectly scheduled on their end. I had to wait an hour to be "squeezed in". Turns out as I waited 40 mins that they've stopped taking mine and my husbands insurance back in 2020. Why wasn't this confirmed when scheduling the appointment in the first place? Lots of mishandling, communication errors and inconveniences on the practice's end.

Dr. Borris and his assistant were very kind and receptive to my queries throught the entire procedure. They were very thorough and discussed a plan of action that would remedy all of my dentistry problems. Receptionist was also very kind. Looking forward to my next appointment .

My mother went to this dental office and from her reaction she has been raving about this place all day. She was speaking about how great it was and how well they took care of her even though it was her first time there. She would have also written this review but she uses this email. She also was speaking about Mohammed who put all the work she needed all together for her and how he was super helpful and answered all the questions and if he didn't have an answer he asked the doctor really quick. She loved Dr. Bo as well and cannot wait to get back there as soon as possible. By the looks of it a really great place

I went in a couple of months ago as a new patient and the service was fine. Receptionist and dentist where pleasant. They x-rayed, cleaned etc. and advised that I required not one but two fillings. I have been too two different dentists since who have taken x-rays and have advised I do not have cavities. I am not sure how or why that works but always get a second opinion. Very very pushy with trying to get you to do invisalign.

I was referred to National Dental in Sunnyside, Queens, by my wife. When she told me that the services they provide were phenomenal and the staff were both professional and down-to-earth, I had to see it for myself. I had my first check-up/cleaning today, and I must say I had never experienced such great service in my life. While they made me feel right at home, they took their time explaining to me the work that needed to be done. The staff is wonderful, the technology is state of the art, and the office is immaculate. I highly recommend National Dental.
