I have wanted to be a dentist since I was eight years old. I love getting to know my patients and their families, restoring patients mouths to health and creating beautiful smiles. I take pride in the individual time I set aside for my patients, my gentle technique and the high quality of materials that I use. I have been practicing dentistry since 2002.
I spent my undergraduate years at Loyola Marymount University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Biology. I was a proud member of Ignatians Service Organization and Delta Gamma Fraternity, holding several leadership roles during my years of involvement. I am initiated into Order of Omega, a leadership honor society for members of Greek Organizations. During my junior year, I was selected to become a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Honor Society of Jesuit Colleges and Universities, considered the highest honor awarded on a Jesuit campus.
For the next 4 years, I called the University of Southern California home as I earned my dental degree. I served on Student Council as a member of the schools Ethics Committee, and was chosen to be a member of the elite Oral Sedation Team. I was initiated into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society, recognizing dental students who have distinguished themselves by excellence in scholarship, while demonstrating exemplary traits of character. I graduated from USC Dental School in 2002 in the top 10 of my class. Upon graduation, my professors chose me to receive the American Association of Women Dentists Female Dentist of the Year Award.
Dr. Saumya Ram enjoys providing compassionate, gentle, and personalized care. She likes to spend time educating and empowering patients to improve their oral health and help them achieve their smile goals. Dr. Ram knew she wanted to be a dentist since childhood and is grateful to be practicing her dream everyday.
Dr. Ram grew up in Kansas, but moved to California to attend UC Berkeley, where she earned her Bachelors degree in Integrative Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Since moving to the South Bay, she has continued to stay up to date on the latest technologies and practices in dentistry by being involved in Spear study clubs, taking many continuing education courses, and staying up to date with scientific literature.
Favorites: My favorite movie is Happy Gilmore, in part because I played ice hockey for fifteen years. When I am not practicing dentistry, I love cheering for my local teams, the Golden State Warriors and San Jose Sharks.
Biography: I have been practicing dentistry since 2009. When I am not practicing dentistry, my wife and I are parents to a chocolate Labradoodle named Iggy. We love to travel the world, explore different cultures, try new foods, and take our dog on long, exhaustive walks.
Dentistry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dental career began right out of high school when I was a back office dental assistant. I enjoyed the clinical aspect of dentistry and working closely with the patients to ensure their comfort. For the last 14 years, I have been managing the front office. Although I no longer sit chairside with patients during treatment, I still feel connected to them and an important part of their dental experience. My familiarity with both aspects of dentistry (chairside and front office) gives me the knowledge and skill to deal with patients questions and concerns.
I am fortunate to work with two kind and hard-working dentists. Our dental team works like a well-oiled machine, where every member of the team wants to help one another whenever needed. I know that this positive energy is felt by our patients and appreciated by all.
When I was in 2nd grade and chose being a dental hygienist as my topic for What I want to be when I grow upwho would have known that I had chosen the perfect career for myself! I LOVE my job! I am proud to be helping improve the dental health of my patients and am having fun doing it! My patients are not just a name in the schedule they are my friends and a part of my life. I have been in this office for 26 years and have watched kids grow up and marry and have kids themselves. I feel connected to this practice and am proud to say that I really know my patients.
I went into the field of dentistry right out of high school. I completed a dental assisting program and worked as a dental assistant for several years as I attended college completing my pre-requisite courses for dental hygiene. I attended Cabrillo College and received my degree in Dental Hygiene. I also have an Associate Degree in Biological Science. In addition to working in private practice, I have taught at a private dental hygiene college. I have also been involved in many community outreach programs over the years, volunteering my time in schools, group homes, and senior centers. I pride myself on continually striving to improve my skills and knowledge of my field.
My personal life includes my wonderful husband of 23 years and our 20 year old twins, Mia and Jordan. I enjoy reading, scrap booking and travel. I love hiking and the outdoors and spend as much time as I can at our cabin in Arnold, California.
I am so excited to call Dr. Provenzanos office my dental family! I joined our fabulous dental team April 2020. I have been a dental hygienist for 28 years and have a Bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene from UCSF. I am here to help my patients achieve optimal oral health, but I am also here to help them relax and feel comfortable with their dental visit.
I believe we are the best because we strive every day to provide the best possible patient experience. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, on the golf course, hiking and early morning workouts. I am looking forward to meeting you and your family!
I feel so lucky to have walked through the doors of this office 14 years ago. I am fortunate to work for such a caring and confident dentist. Working with Dr. Provenzano, I have continued to grow to become the best Dental Assistant that I can be. I care about my patients and see to it that they are comfortable during their dental treatment. I am proud to say that Dr. Provenzano and I make a great team!
My career as a Dental Assistant began right after high school. I knew that I wanted to go into a field that helped people and dentistry seemed like the right choice. I completed the Dental Assisting program at San Jose City College and earned my Registered Dental Assistant License. My schooling prepared me with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive. I learned how important dental health is for a persons overall health and well-being. I also learned the importance of running the back office sterilization and organization are my first priorities. I continue to educate others about their dental health and am proud that I can make a difference.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have a 5 year old daughter who I adore she is the sunshine of my life! My family immigrated to the United States from Mexico when I was very young and I speak fluent Spanish.
I was born in Colorado but have called San Jose my home since I was a teenager. My career in dentistry began early as I completed a Dental Assisting Certification Program and earned my Dental Assistant License at the age of 20. After working both chairside and front office, I realized my role in the front office was a better fit for me.
I have been a part of Dr. Provenzanos team since 2018. In my current position, I am utilizing all my skills and happy to help out wherever I am needed! Because of this, you may see me chairside or in sterilization even though most of my time is spent behind the front desk working on scheduling, marketing, and social media.
Family First is my mantra! I have four children and one grandchild. I ride a Harley and love participating in bike and local small business events. I am excited to be working with positive remarkable women who inspire me to be my best.

If you are looking for a great dental hygienist Terri is the one. Was never a fan of going to the dentist but she has definitely made the experience way better. Easy to talk to and treats you like family.

Dr. Provenzano is my new dentist. I have had several visits with her already and I just love her. She is very kind and thoughtful. She is an excellent dentist (caring, professional, knowledgeable and experienced). I have had several procedures done and each one was painless and comfortable. I could not be happier with her work. I switched to Dr. Provenzano's practice a few years ago after my previous dentist said I needed a suspicious number of fillings and couldn't make a night guard that fit properly. Dr. Provenzano gave me a second opinion that required many fewer fillings and fixed my night guard situation. I think over the years, I've experienced every kind of dental care she offers. Everyone at the practice is very nice and all the hygienists I have seen are very gentle, which is important because I have sensitive teeth. Dr. Provenzano is also very good with fillings too. In the past, my jaw or teeth have hurt after fillings when dentists have been kind of rough. I haven't experienced that since switching to her. She's very thorough about checking that fillings are smoothed down too. I also went through Invisalign here, and have been very happy with the results. Finally, Dr. Provenzano was very responsive to an after hours dental emergency I recently experienced. I was dreading the possibility of going multiple days before seeing her, but she called back in the same day and was able to fix my filling quickly. If you're unhappy with your dentist, definitely call Dr. Provenzano's office!

I have been going to this office for the last 10+ Years and have never had a single complaint. The staff is wonderful, the environment is calming and my teeth always feel great! My dental hygienist, Terri, always takes such great care of me. She is extremely sweet, super gentle and immensely helpful! Hope to continue getting dental care here for the next 10 years and more.

I admit I'm not a fan of going to the dentist but Dr. Provenzano and her staff make it as pleasant as possible. They are kind, gentle, listen to my concerns, are responsive to any dental issues I may be having, yet they don't push any unnecessary procedures on me. Kim Divittorio, my dental hygienist, is very attentive to my quirky teeth issues and she goes above and beyond to make sure my teeth and gums stay as healthy as possible. I highly recommend this dental office.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Provenzano for many years. I can not say enough about how fortunate we are to have such and professional and friendly dentist. A very family "vibe" in the entire office and spreads to both the front desk staff and all assistants. I highly recommend Dr. Provenzano.

I highly recommend choosing Dr.Provenzano as your local family dentist. I have been coming here for over a decade and have always been welcomed with such a wonderful experience, especially when going in for some fillings or other more intense dental work. From Jeanette and Bobby at the front desk, to Joy and Terri who have been cleaning my teeth for YEARS! And the newer faces like JD and the other dental assistant who's name I am forgetting. Everyone is amazingly kind so I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a friendly yet professionally service. As for my wisdom teeth removal earlier this year, Dr.Simel is their in house oral surgeon who seriously worked wonders. I had all four teeth removed in less than an hour, and had little to no pain in the days following. The healing process was a walk in the park considering I followed the doctors orders. Long story short I highly recommend this location all around!!!

I rarely provide public review, but this time I felt that not providing a public appreciate of Kim, the dental hygienist would be wrong give the length at which she goes to take care of my dental hygiene. Though my teeth are in good shape, she constantly trains , teaches provide guidance on how to maintain them better for long term health. Needless to say, quality of her work is top notch. Having been to so many dentists in my life, she clearly stands out. I sometimes wonder what drives here to be so committed to well being her customer/patients, because I do not see such commitment in general and wonder, am I so committed to my customer in my work. Thank you Kim and all members of Dr. Provenzano's staff and I am so luck to find you all.
