Dr. Natalie Harrison and Dr. Steven Hogan are pediatric dentists who truly believe in the prevention of dental problems and in educating families about healthy teeth for life. In treating patients, their philosophy is based on respecting children yet caring for them using age-appropriate techniques and loving attention. Understanding the uniqueness of each child and identifying each family's individual needs are how Dr. Harrison and Dr. Hogan deliver gentle dentistry and create positive dental experiences at Houston's Pediatric Dental Office. They also have extensive experience in dental emergencies, sedations and the handling of special needs patients.
Dr. Natalie Harrison is a third generation Houstonian and graduated from the Kinkaid School. She attended Duke University where she earned a BA in Economics and Chemistry. She then earned her doctorate at the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio, which was the #1 ranked dental program in the country. She finished in the top 5% of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Dr. Harrison completed her pediatric residency at the prestigious Cincinnati Childrens Hospital, also a top ranked program, and during this time she served as Chief Resident. She has extensive experience in dental emergencies, sedations, and the handling of special needs patients.
In 2003, Dr. Harrison joined the esteemed Dr. Thomas Asarch, who practiced in Houston for over 30 years. She was an Associate before becoming the solo practitioner in 2008. She also served as the President of the Houston Pediatric Dental Association in 2009-2010 and is very well respected amongst her peers. Texas Monthly noted Dr. Harrison to be one of 'Texas Super Dentists' and H Magazine published her to be amongst 'Houston 's Top Dentists' in 2011-2017. Natalie enjoys traveling and spending time with her precious daughter, Finley.
Dr. Steven Hogan grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, and met his wife, Mary, in high school in Houston while attending Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007, where he played football for the Longhorns and was part of the 2006 national championship team.
Dr. Hogan completed a pediatric dentistry residency through the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, training at Childrens Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. At the program he received extensive training in sedation, special needs and medically compromised patients, and dental trauma.
Dr. Hogan is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Houston Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He recently served as president of the Houston Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Chanica Veranunt was born and raised in Los Angeles. She completed her undergraduate and doctoral training in Southern California. Dr. Veranunt received her dental degree at Loma Linda University and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society, after graduating in the top ten percent of her class.
Upon graduation, Dr. Veranunt completed a two-year specialty training in pediatric dentistry and earned her Master of Science at the University of Texas, where she received extensive training at Texas Childrens Hospital and Memorial Hermann Childrens Hospital.
Dr. Veranunts excitement to help young children stemmed from dental mission trips in Nicaragua, Thailand, and the Navajo nations in Arizona. Shes excited to bring her passion to serve the greater Houston area! Dr. Veranunt enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants! Say hello to Dr V next time you stop by!

Love this practice! The staff and dentist are top notch. It is beyond helpful when the staff and dentist both sit down with you before giving care to your child. We also very much appreciated how the dentist reviewed our daughter's teeth before asking for any procedures. My daughter had a great experience and left happy even though the dentist pulled teeth . We left having full trust in the practice. We will be back with our twins. Thank you for a positive experience today!

The staff made my son feel right at home to the point he wants to go back! They went out of their way to make sure it was the right environment for him, set up the expectations prior with age appropriate prizes, allowed him to choose what he wanted to watch and had high energy staff who motivated him throughout! 10/10!! Will recommend to all my friends!

I have known Dr. Hogan for 20+ years. Both of my children go to him and he even made time to perform an extraction during an unplanned visit for a deviated tooth. Dr. Hogan is truly a very genuine and compassionate person and make sure you ask about Strake Jesuit and UT Football! No one else in the world that I would send my children to for pediatric dentistry.

I can not speak enough praise about how wonderful our experience was visiting this dental office. I was nervous given it was my 2.5 y/o son's first dental visit and I didn't know how he would cooperate. The entire office staff was so helpful, nice and welcoming. Miss Cherie took such great care of him and I was shocked to hear how well he did... he was so happy and excited when I went to meet him after they were done. Dr. Hogan truly was so great! I really appreciate how much time he spent discussing his teeth, upcoming visits, expectations, dental care. His expertise and knowledge was very impressive and I knew at that moment why all of my colleagues and friends (who are also pediatricians/ neonatologists) take their children to this practice... they truly provide amazing care.

Our kids have been seeing Dr Hogan and his Team for years now, and even last non-routine visit was a great experience! Dr. Hogan and his staff were on time, and they guided us through each step of the visit/procedure for me to feel comfortable and confident that my 6yo was in safe hands. The visit included the extraction of a temporary tooth, which was our first time, and the entire staff did a great job at making us feel at ease. The child left the office smiling with his temp tooth in a special box! Thank you, Dr. Hogan and Team, for making a potentially stressful experience feel like a breeze!

We had a FABULOUS experience today in your office - in spite of needing more extensive work than we thought. Dr. Hogan took excellent care of my sweet boy and explained everything thorough to me without making feel unintelligent. He took time to reassure me about the procedures for Jack - best and worst case scenarios. Jack had such a positive experience that his sisters are excited about their turns next week. Thank you so much for making the best of what could have been a difficult afternoon. Every staff person we encountered was also kind, friendly, and helpful. My two year old waited quite happily in the waiting room for TWO hours! She's not that happy and easy at home! Thank you for making sure you have a very kid-friendly space to wait. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough! Thank you, thank you!

We had a great appointment on Thurs! The appt. was on time and went smoothly. We usually see Dr Harrison, but since she was out of town, we saw Dr Hogan. Madison said he was so nice and friendly! She also said her hygienist was the best she has ever had! Besides finding out about Madison's cavity, it was a great appointment!

My 5 year old son had a horribly painful dental accident Monday night that resulted in his front tooth being knocked loose and turned at a 90 degree angle. Dr. Hogan immediately answered the after hours emergency line (while he was in the middle of coaching baseball that night.) He calmed us down, reviewed the photos and gave us a sound plan of action. He made time to see us early the next morning and successfully extracted the tooth with zero pain. My son was calm and didn't feel a thing (due to getting to pick his own flavor of laughing gas, strawberry numbing gel, and watching a fun movie on the screen). Dr. Hogan and his staff handled this injury EXCEPTIONALLY. We've been going to this practice for 4 years and will never go anywhere else. They are the real deal. Thank you, Dr. Hogan! (P.S. Dr. Harrison is also amazing. She has treated my 3 year old daughter many times and is phenomenal.)

It was my daughters first appointment today and she did great, all thanks to the staff and Dr. Hogan. I thought it would be a big ordeal and tantrum, and she actually loved her visit. They were very thorough and spent time to get to know us and answer all of my questions. Highly recommend!!

I just had the best experience at Dr. Hogans office! I brought my 4 kids (8yr, 6yr, 4yr, & 2yr) in for routine cleanings and they acted like I brought them to Disneyland. They are all begging to go back to the dentist. This is all due to the love and care they received. Thank you to Dr. Hogan and his amazing team for taking care of my kids!

Dr. Hogan and Dr. Harrison are both amazing! Our 6 year old has been seeing them since she was 2 and we absolutely love everyone and everything about the practice. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond to walk you through any procedure which really helped ease my nerves when my daughter had 4 cavities filled. I knew she was in the best hands! The staff are extremely sweet with the kiddos and the treasures box is a huge hit!

Tucker and Cammie had a great dental visit with Dr. Harrison today. They are ages 3 and 5 and love going to the dentist. When we left our appointment the kids were asking me when they get to come back. The turtle in the waiting room was a real highlight for them. Office staff is very friendly and welcoming and Dr. Harrison took the time to show me X-rays and answer any questions I had. We are thankful for this pediatric dental practice.

I'm a mother of four children two in elementary, one in middle school and one in highschool. All of them see Dr. Harrison. It's always easy to get appointments and they are very accommodating even though they all have very different schedules. Two children have needed to be referred on to specialists over the years, and Dr. Harrison has taken great care to explain why and who they should see based off their issues. The office environment is fantastic and from the oceanlife-themed decor to the old school video game machines, my kids have always been happy to go. Even my highschool student enjoys the atmosphere. Dr. Harrison is always smiling, thoughtful in her interactions and engages the children in their role in their own dental care. As an adult who dislikes getting my own teeth cleaned, I'm so happy to have found a place that has been so positive for my children.

referred by a friend and by the look of it everything was nice. The staff were friendly and doctors are friendly. well, to your face. The parents are not allowed to be with their children when they are being seen. My son was depressed after the visit and later told me when they gave him Xray it hurt him so he cried but the staff told him to shut up and stop crying. Terrible! Look at how many fake reviews this place has. I am sure there are a lot of happy parents and kids after the visit, but it is what they do behind your back that worries you.
